We took 3 of our grandchildren to experience Wisconsin Dells. Staying at the Tamarack Resort was fun .We had a two bedroom (the bedrooms are on the second level up rather steep stairs) The pool was within walking distance. They rented movies, paddle boats and did the scavenger hunt organized by the resort. We felt close to all the attractions but in a quiet area. The super Walmart was extremely close and we made several visited there. There were a few issues with the condo, but maintenance was there very quickly to resolve the problems.
We enjoyed our stay here. The grounds were lovely. The unit was homey and mostly comfortable. The bed needs an update, but other than that, we had no complaints. It would be great for a family, there were planned activities that sounded interesting, indoor and outdoor pools and a gameroom. You could also rent bikes. We were close enough to the dells, yet away from all the noise and crowds! We would come back again!
Drove right here via GPS- on site good directions on how to check in. Friendly staff with some directions on how to find unit. Had a one bedroom using both the bed and sleeper sofa. Sofa was better than most. Kitchen appliances are noisy.
We exchanged through Int. Intl. so I guess this was the reason we received an old, tired and worn out unit. Countertops missing Formica, dirty carpet, musty odor, and outdated everything! We spoke to some guests that were in newer units. Turns out they are Wyndham timeshare owners…. so be aware of this before you exchange. We were in the Terrace building. Other than that, the location is great, and the staff were more than friendly and helpful. 3 stars (and that’s generous)
My family recetly spent a long weekend at Tamarack. We had a fabulous time! The resort is just off the beaten path, maybe a 10 minute drive to all the popular touristy attractions. The weekend we went it was quiet, which was really nice! The two bedroom we rented was pretty dated, but not uncomfortable. The only reason I gave it a 4 star review is becuase of some of the accomodations- The back sliding door was broken and the wood was extremely rotten- I was nervous to let me baby crawl near it. Also, the plumbing was not great, each time I took a shower I ended up standing in about a foot of water.
The location is close to many of the attractions if you are looking for indoor water parks, shopping and grocery stores. Our unit (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom) appeared that it had not been updated since the 1980's. Cabinets were old and crooked, dated window coverings, date furniture and the outside wasn't much better. Blighted and almost looks like years of abuse - overall, pretty sad. However, our unit was mostly clean and overall functional and provided a lot of space. The pool is big but again the club house and everything on the property appeared very dated and worn.
We had two units for the first family Christmas get together in two years. Units were clean and comfortable. Had a number of maintenance issues with appliances which received friendly and prompt attention from staff. Issues were due to age of appliances and what I was told was some lack of attention by the previous management. Front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Maintenance staff also did an excellent job of snow removal as we had two storms come through during our stay. Units were comfortable and spacious. Overall rating due primarily to age of units and the maintenance issues.
Their 2 days minimum no cancellation policy is a money trap. We do not have a problem with any hotels or condo with no cancellation policy as long as its decent and meets the standards, clean and no smell. we reserved for non smoking, but got a room that smells very bad smoky smell, feels damp, dreary, very musty smell. The bathroom was dirty, stains in the tub, It did not seems like it got cleaned from the previous occupants. The screen in the windows are in disrepair. The carpeting in the bedroom looks like it did not change in 40 yrs. it had seen its better days. the whole room and the outside look of the condo/ hotel was very dated. We checked in and then checked out within 10 minutes. The manager did not have a good customer service, they were not giving best rooms when u book on line, photos of the room does not match what’s advertised. when we complained about the condition of the room and wanted to cancel the manager was not helpful at all. It felt like it’s a scam, a big riff off.…
We loved the property, the amenities and the accommodations. The staff was kind and courteous. We will be back for sure! We felt that the location was ideal and the surrounding area was beautiful. You are so close to downtown but out of the way of the hustle and bustle
Booked our stay through Hotels.com. Was looking for two rooms, but stumbled across a 2 bedroom unit for MUCH cheaper than other hotels in the area. When we arrived, staff was very polite and professional. They explained all of the amenities including the outdoor heated pool (which it was the last weekend it was open), the game center, arts and crafts etc. Staff even texted us later in the day to see how things where going. When we got to our unit, everything was clean and in good working working order. The master bedroom was HUGE and included at LARGE jetted tub and fireplace. There was also a fireplace in the living room. The views were so relaxing. The only downfall was that the second bedroom did not have an AC unit so it got quite warm in there. I couldn't imagine what it would be like in the summer. We definitely appreciated the location. It was just outside of the city which was quiet and peaceful. I think we found our new place to stay in the Dells!…
