The outside of the buildings are very inviting, however, the inside is a bit worn. The room was clean and neat, but again, the fixtures were worn.

The pool was nice and seemed to be geared for young children. The hot tub was wonderful.

We did notice that there were charges for ice, but all we wanted was a small bit for water in our glasses. We did not get to ask about it as there was no one at the desk.

The directions on the table inside the room asked us to put all of our used towels in a plastic bag and also empty the trash containers. It isn't that we didn't want to comply and keep other safe at this time, but felt that this was a little much to ask a paying customer to do.

At this time, we do not plan on being in the area again, but if so, I doubt that we would stay here again.

I was so upset because all of the places I normally stay were booked solid for Memorial Day. Every time I found an opening, it would disappear before I could confirm the booking. We needed a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. I found Sunset Bay by zooming in on Google Maps and clicking on each establishment's website. I was surprised that a 2 bed 2 bath condo was available.

I didn't know that there was no 24 hour front desk. However, the establishment has a system whereby you can access your room and complete checking in the next morning when they open. We got free wristbands for the property's amenities and for Tom Foolery's at the Kalahari. There were also discounted waterpark admission rates available for the Kalahari.

We didn't use the properties amenities, but if we return we would love to kayak, attend the bonfire, and use the pools/hot tub. The floor in the main building's pool room was wet and looked slippery. There were a lot of guests and the door to the condo building we were staying in wasn't pulled closed so that it would lock.

The condo had sufficient supplies, a pull out couch, a decorative fireplace, 3 tvs, a large dining table, and a balcony with chairs. I didn't realize that the second bathroom was a half one. There was an adjoining room we could have reserved with two more beds and a bathroom. It was cleaned to my satisfaction. I didn't mind putting the towels and the trash in the hallway upon checking out because this is what you must do when leaving an air bnb. I would lodge here again.

We stayed at the Baker Sunset Resort over my winter break for a few days. The biggest perk was we could bring our dog to stay with us! They put water bowls in the room and gave us treats when we checked in which was cute! There was an extra fee to bring the dog but it was cheaper compared to other places in the area. The room was clean, good shower, good location, and had a nice indoor pool and hot tub area! It looks like it’d be a fun place in the summer with the beach right out back! We did get about 4 inches of snow while staying and the parking lot and side walks were never plowed and became very icy and slippery. The back outdoor stairs were dangerous because of how slippery it was. The desk attendant wasn’t super friendly but we didn’t really need to interact much so it was fine. Overall it was a pleasant stay in a cheaper hotel in the dells area and we’d stay again if we had to bring the dog with us!

I recently booked 2 nights here for a getaway with a friend. When we checked in, the office staff was rude and informative. She basically handed me the keys to the room and told me not to walk through her main lobby because of Covid. I tried asking a few questions such as “is the pool open” etc... and she acted as if I were an inconvenience and gave yes/no answers. Because of this, we had no idea what the pool hours actually were because it stated that it “varied” during Covid. So we did not use the pool or hot tub.
There was no other information given to us about the amenities of the hotel or anything.
When we got to our room, it was clear that nothing has been updated in a long time. Our shower had a patch in it and when we ran the water, hair and degree came up...you could tell the drains haven’t been cleaned. The beds were awful and the blankets all had large holes in them.
I understand that Covid puts a different spin on things, but I have stayed in other hotels during Covid where they were so friendly and took the time to really make you feel like a welcomed guest. You will not get that here.
When I called the desk to check out, the same staff member said “ok” and basically hung up.
There are MANY hotel options in the dells, my recommendation is to steer clear of this one and go where you are appreciated as a guest.

We stayed here in mid august, after looking around at other places, we decided to give Baker's a shot. And I have to say, I am beyond glad we did. We had two beachfront 1 Bedroom Suites. The rooms were out together well, our walk out patio to the beach was an awesome place to gather in the evenings after a long day of being out and about in the Dells, the staff was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for brand new and modern, this place isn't for you. It is dated, and has signs of wear, but it has character, and a feeling of not being in some chain hotel in the middle of town.

They are located in a very quiet and peaceful part of the area. The beach is clean, and well maintained, along with the rest of the grounds in general. The kayaks were a hit with our group. We brought our griddle and had the ability to cook meals right outside the room. and there are also ample charcoal grills available to use as well. the pools were adequate enough in size. Warm and clean, the hot tub was a nice way to soak off the days stresses of crowds and noise.

Our first night we were fortunate to see Xavier the Firespinner perform, it was a really cool show. And a couple of the other evenings, Campfire Kenny strummed the guitar and sang songs around a little fire while folks made smores and just enjoyed some wholesome and mellow entertainment. It is absolutely a family friendly place, with a giant Connect Four game, and table tennis on the patio, and a huge swing set playground right on the beach. There was a kiddie splash pad area as well. We cant forget the arcade for the kiddos. The included free WiFi was sufficient for my needs, the kids didn't share the same feeling, but it didn't bother me, we were not there to use our phones.

All in all, I would definitely return to Baker's and we are already making a plan to make that happen again, in the future.

The only remotely negative thing I can think of is the smoking areas were basically anywhere outside, except the pool area, but smoke carries, and it does stink. But aside from that, this place is tops.

I went there for my daughter who loves a beach but there was not alot of room considering covid situation and the 2 piers on both sides of it. The water had a ton of green pellets in it which I couldnt understand why someone can't grab a net and clean up shore since its a tiny space. We had someones dogs barking 2 doors down from us whenever we walked past hallway and the dog above us was barking on back porch. Don't know why pets are not in a different area. Just before leaving, we checked under beds for anything we may have dropped and there was food and small garbage which looked like they never vacuum or clean under beds. I realize covid makes hotels put in extra effort that may be unrealistic to some but just didnt sit well with us. Otherwise people working there were kind and we did get a good nights sleep both nights. For over $200 a night, I just expected better. Just not for us but may work for some.

We wanted to travel somewhere to enjoy some winter weather and not have to spend a ton. I found Baker's on line and could not be happier with our stay. It is a little dated but what it offers is exactly what we were looking for. We had a kitchenette that we were able to make our own simple dinners (huge saving). They are pet friendly and our dog loved to walk around on the grounds. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean and the hot tub was actually hot (some places it is closer to warm). The price was worth it and we were a short drive to everything the Dells has to offer. Customer Service was excellent and check-in was easy.

The jacuzzi suite was nice, area was good and plenty of things to do with it being a bit rainy, but when we went to open our complimentary champagne we discovered it wasn't champagne at all, but a bottle of apple cider... Still, wouldn't have ruined our anniversary night, except that it required a bottle opener to even drink! So we had a very sober, very ok, anniversary (after 10pm there's no one to open the bottle)... Website could be updated to say the champagne doesnt contain alcohol, or just call it sham-pagne instead of the misleading wording... Still, everything else was good, might try again next year in a less expensive room considering there's no champagne anyway.

I am so sorry about that! We do have champagne that should have been in the room. They must have grabbed a bottle of the non-alcoholic champagne. I am so so sorry!

We only stayed one night, but would go back! Great location on Lake Delton in a little 'cove'. They have kayaks available. We took a nice little paddle. There's a small beach with good sand and a small pier. A variety of pool options for all ages...inside and out. At night, there was a fire and some entertainment. The staff was super friendly. It was nice that they had a text system for notifications about check-in and check-out as well as activities going on. COVID note: They were very clear about their safety/cleanliness practices. The hallways aren't real big, but there were also stairway options inside and outside. We felt very comfortable here.

The rooms are clean and meet our needs. The microwave is very old. Our room was at the end and the tree from the other property was obstructing our view of the lake and beach. Need more beach chairs for the guests to relax on the beach. There is only 3. We really enjoyed the kayaks, but need new life jackets. You can swim in this area, but you will need to get around the dock first. The pools looked good, but did not use them as there were to many kids and people with Covid 19. We also enjoyed the ping pong table and fire pit gathering with music. Overall it was a good experience.

I think you should confirm that with management. The tickets we had were for the arcade at Kalahari, not the waterpark.

Not sure. But I know the people across the hall this summer left their dog in their room because they had a note for housekeeping to not come in for that reason.
