Detailed Reviews
Christmas Mountain has been our go- to spot in the Wisconsin bdells until this trip. In the past few months they have demanded a resort fee of $30 per night. With tax this was $221.55 for the week. Since we were there in October we were not able to get a kayak and all the outdoor pools were closed for the season. During our stay we used the indoor pool once. After paying the exchange fee and resort fee I’m not sure we will be going back.

My husband and I were blessed with an opportunity to "get away" to reconnect for five days at this beautiful resort. Due to a temporary handicap, I was unable to stay where there were any stairs to climb. The staff knew this ahead of time and was able to provide us with a room I could just "roll into". We stayed in one of the "Townhomes" and it was a refreshing time for us both.
The only problem we had was when our air conditioning went out late Tuesday night. At first, we didn't notice; however, because it was a week of unusually high temperatures, we realized it before noon on Wednesday. The staff came quickly to our aid and discovered our a/c compressor was frozen. They tried to find a place for us to move to...but they were booked unless I could do stairs; so, we opted to stay put and they brought us some box fans. It got extremely uncomfortable (82) in the room but that night, the boxed fans and the cooler air outside helped cool down the room to 69. Just as the maintenance man promised, he was back by 9:00 a.m. and the compressor had thawed. He was able to recharge it and we had no more issues.
It was a great "time away" and we really enjoyed our stay. We even had one meal at the resort's restaurant...everything was delicious and the customer service was great!

I also was disappointed that they charge $30 a day for using the amenities. I am an RCI member. I think after we are charged the exchange fee that should be enough. We enjoyed only the hot tub and no other amenities. Was disappointed for being this close to Christmas that it was not decorated more since it is CHRISTMAS MOUNTAIN.

Hotel's Favorite
Our time away was short but nice. We wanted a quiet vacation. Friendly staff and responsive to our needs (recycle garbage bags & clean sheets / towels needed because our adult children were coming for the weekend and we stayed part of the week)
Although we were there at the end of January, it is nice to walk the property, use the outdoor hot tub (very nice) and swim laps / adult time (6a-9a). Facilities were clean and staff said hello and acknowledged you right away.
The only thing we did not like is at Mulligan At Christmas Mountain (bar / restaurant), they only use a CC or debit card for ALL transactions. We got there early and were waiting at the bar & were watching the football game before the condo was ready. We did not like using CC / debit to pay for drinks at the bar. We had no clue how much the drinks cost until the end. Then … how do we know we if we were charged the accurate number of drinks. We like to pay cash for bar items when sitting at the bar.
Went to eat at two great places. *Del-Bar (supper club) … 3rd time there. EXCELLENT food and service. Highly recommend to go on-line and put in a reservation. It is busy there. Nice atmosphere. & *Sarento’s (It says at their website it is “Casual eatery serving Italian favorites & pizza in a gold & red venue at the Wilderness Resort” IT is a supper club) … 1st time there. EXCELLENT Pizza and service. We will go back there again and try something else. Can’t wait. Not busy in January and beautiful / casual / elegant atmosphere.
Stopped at Grateful Shed … funky fun flower power atmosphere with many food trucks under 1 roof. Fun place.

I wish I could give a more positive review, but our experience with BlueGreen Vacation Club was frustratingly disappointing. The sales presentation that was supposed to last 90 minutes stretched for hours while our family waited at the resort. We were promised that we could easily sell at any point, however, it seems that this was simply not true. Booking should have been straightforward, but we found the availability to be consistently limited despite assurances to the contrary. We were told that our 5000 points would give us access to every resort, but the reality is that our options were very limited. Perhaps one of our most significant grievances was being assured that maintenance fees wouldn't increase, but we've found them rising every year we've been owners. Furthermore, the rooms' cleanliness left much to be desired. I sincerely hope our experience causes someone else thinking of buying a timeshare with this company to pause and think about it. It is not everything we were sold.

Ridiculous rip off scheme! I almost booked this location for a Mother’s Day trip. Luckily I read the reviews before confirming my week long stay here. I called the resort and was indeed informed that upon arrival I would be charged an automatic $30 per day amenity fee to cover the use of basics like the pool, clubhouse and “free” onsite parking. Now if I’m paying an extra $30 whether I use the amenities or not, is it really free? When I asked for contact information for Hilton corporate, the manager was unable to provide the information. In addition to the $549 for the exchange and extra vacation fee, I was informed that upon arrival I would be charged $221.59. There is nothing in writing that would have prepared anyone for this additional DAILY fee yet the manager insisted that it is posted on RCI when making the reservation. The disclaimer mentions a $30 fee but does not mention that it is a per day fee. Unbelievable! What a shameful way to nickel and dime customers and families looking to make memories with their loved ones. I suggest this resort familiarizes its staff with the definition of amenities and hospitality and begin to provide them both free of charge! Meanwhile I will take my business and money elsewhere!

They list this resort as a ski in ski out resort, but the cabins are at least 1/2 mile from the ski hill. The hot tub and pool are also located there, so we had to drive every time we wanted to enjoy the hot tub. The first night the jets and lights were not working on the hot tub, so that was pretty disappointing. The ski hill was very underwhelming and I could not imagine paying $80 for how tiny it was. It's probably great for kids and beginners, but I would never be able to spend a day there without getting bored within the first half hour. We ended up driving to Cascade Mountain because they actually made snow (the weather this year is unfortunately not in a skier's favor), and they had more runs and lifts open than Christmas Mountain. Mulligan's, the restaurant on site, is very over priced, so we only went there one time. It was unfortunate to have to drive about 15 minutes to go out to eat every time, or enjoy a beverage. I also received a phone call from the Concierge every single morning at 9am hounding us to do their presentation to become an owner of their Bluegreen timeshares. I told them every time I was not interested, but they continued to call. The cabin was clean, but definitely needed some updates. I just would never stay here again.

The resort, now a property of Hilton, charges a $30 plus tax per day of stay to use amenities. Basically $30 per day to use pool, hot tub, sauna and workout facilities. I'm a timeshare owner and pay yearly maintenance fees like every other time share owner. First time experiencing a $30 per day fee to use amenities. Also while staying at this resort, I sat next to a local person in the hot tub who said they use amenities almost everyday. He does not own a timeshare anywhere. When I asked him what he pays to use facilities he hesitated and just stated he pays a fee for his wife and himself. Need I mention you need room keys to get into pool area. Either there is some shady work going on at the facility or Hilton is just out to make even more money.I was told Hilton is the one who imposed the mandatory $30 per day fee. Also my brother has been a timeshare owner at this resort for some 20 years. He paid good money at the time to become an owner but with the new ownership he doesn't own enough points to book a decent trip. I asked the sales rep while going through my timeshare meeting what my brother should do and was told all he has to do is buy more points. Who's to say they don't change their policies again 5 years from now?

We enjoyed our stay. Granddaughter would have liked there being a lifeguard on duty at the pool and the slide operating. 822-A ended lightbulbs in the microwave replaced. It would be nice if someone would pick up the cigarette butts after them selves

I enjoyed staying at this property and my guests did as well. Unfortunately, RCI surprised me with a new "policy" charging an additional $30 per day to use / play mini golf or cook on a grill. This was an additional $210 besides the exchange fee. What a rip off! I enjoy traveling in the area, but these fees will make me come up with another plan. Shame on RCI !

They installed filters on all fresh water outlets in the units and re-tested. Tests were negative.
Don't know for sure. Call the resort. probably not without extra fees.
