I stayed six nights in a modern cabin with bath and kitchen for a personal retreat. I also attended a weekend workshop. The staff is friendly and helpful and the price reasonable. Silence or fellowship, my choice.

Stayed there with family for 2 days. Beautiful and clean cabins/cottages in the woods. Most special thing about this place was the vegetarian food they served for all the meals. It was really good. Nice experience. One should go there just to get some peaceful and spiritual time.

I recently visited the Christine Center for a personal retreat during a time of transition. It was the perfect place to find stillness and after a few days a felt truly rejuvenated. The center is run by 5 Franciscan Nuns whom show warmth and love to everyone that visits. No matter your religion or orientation you are made to feel...

I love this place! The hermitages are basic and clean. The staff is amazing, truly beautiful women. The food was fantastic, after I left the center I went grocery shopping, the food in the organic section wasn't as lovely As the food at the center. I was there taking a weekend class, which I highly recommend, but I would go...

Living in Chicago and in the 21st century, I sometimes think it's impossible to get away from it all in the traditional sense. At The Christine Center in central Wisconsin, I found out it was 100 percent possible. Close to a state forest, this spiritual retreat center is buffeted by birch woodlands, clean air and quiet. Over the course of...

“The Basil modern hermitage is large and more isolated from the others. The Guadalupe modern hermitage is one of the newer ones and includes a loft. The Angel of Earth rustic hermitage is lovely, sleeps one and is heated via a wood stove.”
