This is a review of the bar and restaurant. We stop here several times a year. We have always had good food from burgers to steak. Some of the friendliest bartenders and patrons reside here. You will find yourself striking up a conversation with most anyone here. The place is always neat and clean. Prices are average. Do yourself a...

My husband and I needed a bed for the night and a bite to eat so we were happy to stumble upon this restaurant/motel. Service was very friendly and we were made to feel quite at home in the restaurant which commanded a great view of the river. Food was reasonably priced but I was a bit disappointed with my...

This review is for Buettner's Motel On The Wolf--Not the Inn (They share a website) Two stars is not an insult--at all. We enjoyed our time here--it's just VERY rustic. Placed at the corner of highways 55 and 64, it's RIGHT ON the Wolf River, and consists of 9 or 10 rooms. I've always said that all I need in...

This is a very basic, old school (1965) mom & pop motel. Buettners Wild Wolf Inn and Buettners Motel are separate properties, both on WI55. Perfect location for snowmobiling...adequate parking, gas, bars/restaurants across the road, trail 200 yards away. The motel itself (intersection WI55 and 64) is very basic and 1960s rooms are overdue for an update, but fairly clean...

I have stayed at the WWI a couple of times over the years. This is not the motel for sitting in your room. The beds and bathrooms are clean, but the decor is dated and the furniture is in need of repair. It isn't often that you can find televisions with knob channel changers either. The reason you stay at...

Pros Walk out your patio door and you will be at a beautiful river. $69 a night for a double room. Cons Very dirty old rooms. 3 stations on your TV. Frozen Pizza is the only thing really to eat there at selected hours. One staff member who is only there for a few hours a day. Rooms get new...

First, I knew when I reserved the motel that I was only paying $48 per room for two rooms, each with a double bed, so our expectations for the rooms were not high. We were paying to have a place with restaurant and rafting all on one property. The rooms were worth $48. The sheets and bathrooms were clean. That...

The Inn is at a beautiful spot with nice vie and a gentle slope to the river. If you stay on land it is fine, but in retrospect, renting a raft from them was a mistake. It was a georgous day, and the staff made it sound like it was pretty easy--the water was low so we would have to...

This hotel is RIGHT on the Wolf River. You open your PATIO door, walk past the picnic table & you are at the river. Wonderful setting. Clean, neat. Dated bathroom but everything worked. We rode Hwy 55 to the Motel & it is a great Motorcycle road. Gentle curves that follow the river. Cons: no air (we needed the heat...

“Rooms 4 and 5 are rooms with one double bed each and face the parking lot. All other rooms face the Wolf River and have two beds and a sofa. Take the beds facing the river if they are available. At least there will be less parking lot noise.”
