Detailed Reviews
We've camped at Lake Neshonic for many years and always found it very friendly nice and clean. Unfortunately their pools were closed and not filled with water due to Covid 19. They refunded $4.00 per night which I thought was not sufficient. Otherwise they had plenty of other activities and always a good time. Very nice respectable campground.

We have not camped in this area before but we will most certainly be back. The views from our site were incredible. We got an unprecedented amount of rain in the first couple of days and the site took the rain well. The grass combined with the drainage never made it seem like we were in mud. Great pool area, beautiful lake frontage, convenient location to get to the many activities we enjoyed, excellent local stores for any needs we had, just an all around great place to camp!

The manicured lawns and tiered views of the lake make this a beautiful campground. Great, friendly staff put it over the top. Easy check in, beautiful pool, great playgrounds. This is a real family campground with lots of kids. Bring your golf cart, you will fit right in.

Water logged site the whole weekend, with our camper sinking to the point we almost couldnt hook up to leave. Firepit full of water the whole weekend, not one fire was lit. Over all, will not return..

Super friendly staff, large list of amenities, lake access, pool, and ample RV spaces, make this a top destination. However, it is quite expensive, and corporate leadership is apparently taking money out, but not making needed repairs to old/outdated bathrooms and showers or to a defunct unused adult swimming pool. Sites, are often muddy with inadequate ground/rock treatment and periodic flooding. I still give it a solid 4+.

Sites are almost all full sun. Spots are good if you have air conditioning. Fun playground for small children. Beach is a hike up and down stairs. Kids could bike and I felt safe letting them go to the park (Ages 7, 5, & 4).

The campground was nice but the problem we had is with the Policies? We felt discriminated against being Thousand Trails Members? We were put in one of the only muddy sites; they assign sites there. The site also had not sewer. After the weekend passed and everybody left, we asked if we can move to a sewer site; there were many available all around us. The looked us up on their computer and said out load "You are Thousand Trails Members, No we don't have a site for you"? I later called the office and asked if they have a pump service for our holding tanks, they said sorry they don't. I saw a Campground Staff riding a tractor pumping out out RV's and asked him if we can get a pump. He said No, Service was only for Annual RV'ers? We would have been happy to pay for the service but they flat out said no? Also, the water coming from the campground Showers smelt like sewer water. It was gross. We have stayed at many Thousand Trails Parks but this was the first time experienced anything like this? We are very disappointed.

Cabins on the hill were perfect way to gather with friends/family and have our own space/social distance. Spent hours at the campfire between the cabins & overlooking an amazing view. End of season there were less activities at the campsite but still very nicely cared for and a friendly staff. Would def recommend & consider coming back again. Only negative would be the cabin beds aren't very comfortable (compared to hotel w/ sim cost) and maybe a tad more cleaning to the cabin floors (just being picky as during a pandemic we are all a bit more on edge about how clean accommodations are). Nothing that would keep me from coming back again.

We stayed in a cabin for a couple nights. It would be great for people with young kids, but the layout isn’t great for just a couple as the main bed is directly under a bunk bed with no head room. The hot water heater is really small, so multiple showers in a row is not a reality. It was pretty much a 30 second shower, get in and get out. If you were in the military, you’ll understand. The bathroom floor needed some maintenance and the floors of the cabin needed a good cleaning. Other than that it was a good experience, just a little high priced.

Lake Neshonoc is wonderful! This campground plans fun activities for kids and grown ups alike! Even during the pandemic, we've been able to have activities throughout the summer, which gives us a wonderful sense of normalcy. The campground has lots of amenities including 2 swimming pools, hot tub for adults only, a kiddie pool, 2 playground areas, volleyball & basketball courts, horseshoe pits, movie theatre area, camp store, and great staff! Plus a green space area to play kickball, or whatever family games you want. Great people come to camp and eventually love it so much, they become seasonals year after year!
