Stayed here recently and it was just beautiful inside and out. The owners are so kind and thoughtful with great suggestions on hiking, farmers market, eateries, coffee shops and more, all to make our getaway the best. You can really tell they love what they do and what they have to offer. Highly recommend!
It really is hidden away, so quiet, so serene, so beautiful. Upon arrival Sally made us feel so welcome. Every little detail was so well thought out. Breakfast each day was delicious. Our room was big and spacious, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub to relax and unwind. We cannot wait to plan our next visit this fall.
Our 1½ hour drive from Madison showcased breathing-taking displays of all the spectacular fall colors! When we arrived at Hidden Serenity, we were greeted by a winding, woodsy driveway, which led us to an immaculately clean and inviting property. We opted for an early check in at 1 pm. After a full afternoon of hiking around Mauthe Lake and exploring Kettle Moraine State Forest, we dined at Timmer’s Resort located on Big Cedar Lake. Enchanting supper club vibes, we feasted on filet mignon and sea scallops, paired with a Pinot Noir and Riesling, respectively. We ended a full day by lounging in front of our room’s large picture window, drinking wine by the flickering of our fireplace. Hot gourmet breakfast was served at 8:30 am. Sally’s homemade breakfast was delicious, and Westrock coffee fueled us for another day of hiking and exploring. This day, we decided to visit the Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary, which is only one minute away! Highly recommend the sanctuary walk; however, there are golf carts available for all ages and abilities. Our weekend trip away from city life was much needed, and Hidden Serenity allowed us a romantic setting to reconnect with each other.…
This B & B was absulutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations in all areas. We will definetly be visiting again. It is tucked in the woods and very quiet. We hiked around the trails on the property which were beautiful. We were early for the fall foliage but if you hit that it would be stunning. The bed was comfortable and the sheets exceptional in fact everyone in our group bought a set of sheets. A really fun bonus was pickle ball! West Bend in 10 minutes away and had some great food and a really fun Farmers Market..We went to a local Friday night fish fry which was excellent. It was at the Rusty Spoon and recommended by our hosts. Susie and Rod Phillips
Stayed here for three days for our anniversary. Our host, Sally, was friendly and helpful. The house and room were beautiful, unique and very clean with luxurious touches like heated bathroom floors and a giant shower with fancy shower heads. The breakfasts were delish. We loved the little touches like edible flowers from her garden as a garnish and maple syrup tapped from her own trees. There were beautiful wooded walking paths and flower beds, a pickleball court, a billiards table, and artful, eclectic details everywhere you look as well as fun stuff to do nearby- a wildlife park/zoo, lakes, hiking trails, etc. We'll definately be back and would recommend it to anyone wanting a charming and relaxing place to stay in any season.
