Great experience. The hotel was busy with State Fair and the Brewers game. Used shuttle from Hotel easy drop off and pick up. The staff at Hotel was very friendly. Clean rooms, nice bar area. Treated great.
The room was good, but there were limited amenities (no fridge or microwave). We were there for two days, and there was No maid service. When we checked in there were only a few towels, and very limited supplies. My husband went to the front desk to hunt down more towels, tissues, coffee & tea. Every time we went to the front desk, nobody was there and we had to wait for someone to show up. Also the room was very dusty. It was clean in all the frequently used areas, but if you look on top of the baseboards or other seldom touched areas it was really dusty. Also the restaurant and bar were closed down for the remainder of the year. So no real food, unless you consider the cold case they have near the desk where you can purchase drinks and snacks. The best thing about this room is that it had the best mattress and pillows that we have slept on in a hotel that could compare to our expensive mattress at home, which made up for everything thing else this place lacked. We got a great nights sleep while we were there, which is the whole point of getting a room and not sleeping in our car.…
Room was not cleaned well. Pretzels found on floor. Stains on furniture. No towels or cups in room. Two days in a row nobody answered the phone in guest services. I had to go to front desk to get my own towels, cups and toilet paper because of this. The restaurant is still closed due to Covid yet staff did not wear masks. The room was actually nice but not very clean.
We were in town for Summerfest. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The staff suggested really nice affordable restaurants and the best way to get in and out of the festival to avoid traffic and long waits. Thanks so much!
The staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Comfortable rooms for day or night sleeping. Only thing it's, no fridge or microwave in the rooms. One of my best hotel stays since before the pandemic. Thank you for everything!!
Disappointing to say the least. The Sonesta website depicts this property as an upscale hotel boast "all the amenities you could wish for in such a prime location" and "our full-service restaurant and lounge will surely satisfy" (both are copied from their webpage on 3/28/22). The reality is: The rooms do not have a microwave of mini fridge. The Amorie (stand alone closet) is more suited for a motel-6. The on-site restaurant has been closed for several months and is not expected to open until May (??). The snacks that are offered at the "pantry" are both minimal and overpriced. When asked about somewhere to eat - the ONLY place within walking distance was another hotel which was several hundred yards across two parking lots ( Do this at night with your wife when the wind chill is in the teens w/ a biting wind, light snow and sleet ). BTW - this is not available on Sundays. I understand Covid -19 has been tough on businesses, but at least update your website ! ! Two prominent signs state facemasks must be worn in all public places. However, no one at the registration desk (or any other staff) wore a mask. Far too many little things went horribly wrong during our stay. Several clerks at the registration desk were wonderful and did try to make up for the poor experience, but unfortunately were not able to do so.…
My company is based out of Wauwatosa, and we held our annual conference at Sonesta. Jeanne was very helpful and responsive during the planning process, and she was also very patient with me as the planner! On the day of the conference, Vlad and Karen were our contact people. Vlad was amazing at solving problems before I was aware of them, and I very much felt taken care of by him. Karen was fantastic at assessing the needs of the room and replenishing/cleaning right away. We also used their "in-house" AV company to live-stream our event, and Ryan was such a pleasure to work with. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the technology needed. The venue was clean and all other staff members were polite. Overall, Sonesta was very accommodating with our requests, and I would recommend them for a conference venue.…
Bar is closed for NYE. Basically nothing to do here as they are very afraid of covid in year 3. You could tell that paranoia was their number one priority, and the enjoyment of your stay is second. I will be staying a bit further out from the city next time.
Stayed just one night - thankfully. The room was filthy. Hair all over the bathroom, blanket/comforter was gross - terribly stained, rugs were awful - we were afraid to remove our shoes. Bar and restaurant were closed - their "marketplace" was empty - we got the last bottle of water. This place needs a makeover badly.
Checked in this last Saturday right on time. That part went smooth and the two members of the staff working at the front desk were great. The main reason we booked was for the Brewers shuttle which we found out at check in was just wait outside and when there is room you go. When we used to do the shuttle you signed up for a time. We waited over an hour to get shuttled. People were upset and ended up calling Uber's to get there so they didn't miss the game. They were only running one shuttle so i would maybe suggest based on the number of Brewer packages you have booked either start shuttles earlier or run two. My husband also heard in the morning that over 17 people were left at the stadium that night. And again they used to keep count to make sure that everyone got back to the hotel. The rooms definitely need some TLC. We had a corner room on the 5th floor. it smelled very damp and musty. The temp was set to 60 degrees when we got in there and the fan was on high but it was still pretty warm. The rooms need alot of updating and we only had two sets of towels for 4 people. Having a mini fridge in the room would have been nice but we were not expecting it since we have stayed several times before. Pool area was just ok...water was very cloudy and it could have been cleaner. Probably has alot to do with staffing issues like most places. We have been staying here for the last 5 or 6 years but may have to look somewhere else...for the price i feel like you can find better hotels.…
