Clean and friendly family owned establishment. Stayed here to attend Brewer game. Very affordable. Shuttles from local pubs to game with food or beverage purchase. Bed was super, free coffee or tea in morning. Safe neighborhood. We will use 40 Winks again!
A small well cared for motel. Great location to several restaurants. It’s dated but very clean, beds were comfortable, and the front desk lady might be the nicest lady in MKE. There is no hair dryer in the room just an FYI. For the price you can’t go wrong staying here!
Last December right before Christmas our heater broke at home and we needed to stay somewhere for the night. Thankfully they were able to offer us an affordable price for one of the rooms. When we got there the people at the front desk were very nice and caring. The rooms were very clean and recently renovated and very up to date with a color television with HBO and Showtime and a fridge and microwave. Is located in a very nice area of Tosa near Mayfair and other shops and restaurants. Overall would recommend
Dated, but clean and very friendly service. Back of hotel is quiet neighborhood, front is fairly busy road. I would stay again, this place beats the high priced chain hotels any day. Free coffee and tea in the morning was nice and appreciated.
Convenient to the interstate, but I had no noise issues. Everything was clean and functional. There is not much to breakfast, but other options are nearby. Check-in staff was friendly and efficient. I'd be happy to stay here again.
Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful, and price was right. Took shuttle from area tavern to and from game and had a wonderful time. Next time we attend a Brewer game this will be the place we stay.
Booked this place based on reviews, and it was spot on. Small family owned motel that takes pride in their business. It was clean and the rooms comfortable. Nothing overly fancy, but that's what keeps the prices reasonable. Best part was being able to walk a very short distance to the bar/restaurant that has shuttle to/from the game. Next morning they had assorted sweet breads and coffee out for the guests. It was just enough to get us going. Will definitely stay again when in town exploring or heading to a game.
Stayed here a few times. The lobby is open 7am to 11PM, small breakfast with breads. Nice place. Use it for my brewer games. They have two establishments a block away that can shuttle you to the Brewer games. The hotel staff is helpful, friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice area just off Hwy100. We will stay here again.
We were visiting friends in Wauwatosa and I was very surprised at how expensive hotels in the area were... I know it's close to Milwaukee but still! Plus I'm tired of finding the same chain hotels everywhere we go. I found this place and I was a little worried because there was no online registration (that I saw) and that seemed a little odd. I called them and it only took a few minutes. She asked if I wanted a first or second floor room; it's nice to have the choice! Price was exactly as it said on the website, $98.50 for a king room on a weekend night; no hidden fees and it includes taxes. Parking was right in front at no extra cost. The room was spacious and very clean. Both the room and the bathroom had windows that opened into a court so no loud noises. The bed was very comfortable and huge! The bathroom had everything we needed and the water pressure was great (you never know in older hotels!) There was a bar of soap and plenty of towels but I don't think there were other toiletries. There was a welcome binder that explained that, in order to keep the cost down, they opted to not offer so many complimentary toiletries and no continental breakfast. I completely agree with that! They do sell some toiletries at the reception desk if you need them. They had coffee and pound cake in a variety of flavors in the morning (chocolate, banana nut, cinnamon swirl, etc.), starting at 7, I think. It's a nice cozy area with tables and chairs but there are cups to go and the pound cake slices are individually wrapped so you can take it with you if you're in a hurry. I'm happy I found this place and we'll definitely go back when we visit our friends in the area. Even if we visit Milwaukee, it's so close that we might just stay here. It's a very short drive to the downtown area, about 12 min. to the Public Market on a Sunday. The receptionist/owner was very nice and helpful and she didn't mind answering questions that I'm sure she's been asked many times! And when was the last time you had an actual key to open a hotel door? I recommend this place 100%…
This is a very nice little place. Quiet, clean and many nice places to eat within walking distance. We wanted to shuttle to the game and there were several shuttles from the nearby establishments. We had a fridg and microwave. The room was spacious. One thing I did miss was a hair dryer. Haven't been to a motel in years that didn't have a hairdryer. This motel was very moderately priced.
