Very clean and quiet. Good location. Convenient parking. Avery did an excellent job providing a thorough breakfast every day. He also helped out at the front desk. I will definitely be coming back.
Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good complementary breakfast, good coffee and wonderful employees, no noise and we were by the ice machine and elevator. so much more than one could ask for at a hotel. Will definitely be back
Just here to say that ALL the reviews are true - both positive and negative. We stayed here over the holidays and overall, I was really disappointed. It’s a new hotel and the furnishings should not be as run down as they are. And it is easy to focus on the negative: We found a knife stuck in the silverware drawer with gum, a wad of nasty towels in a dresser drawer, sugar packets in a light fixture…. And we had a really unpleasant run in with a staff member upon arrival. But it wasn’t all bad: Every other staff member was pleasant and helpful and kind. Our beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. There was amazing water pressure in the shower and the towels were nice and fluffy. Unfortunately, the bad just outweighed the good. I have family in the area, so I will be coming to Wauwatosa on a regular basis. I had really hoped to find a home away from home. This was not it.…
I selected 1 because that was the lowest number to choose. It is really a zero for this location. I was not pleased with this hotel and the lack of accommodations, safety, and cleanliness. Several things took place during the weekend my family and I stayed. The room lacked adequate towels for all five of us. Housekeeping provided sheets and a cover for the fold out couch. But when I asked for towels, they were never provided. The room was not as clean as I think it should have been. The tub was dirty and the pillows had hard pink stuff on it, might have been candy or a spill on the pillow from the previous guest. The bedding was not comfortable. the cover or lack there of felt like an actual thin curtain. the so called cover looked and felt like a bed skirt. Dishes were not clean and left in the dishwasher. The pool must be available to all even if they are not guest at the hotel. there were a number if people in the pool and when I took my family down to enjoy this amenity, the pool had a dirty film floating on top of the water. We could not get in because if that. As we were leaving the area, 10 or more people were coming down to the pool. Our safety was compromised - as a random guest was given a key to our room. As my family and I sat watching TV, the door opens, a man peeks in and quickly closes the door. I went down to guest services to get an understanding of what happened. I received an apology and was assured the key was given back and deactivated. Both days we attempted enjoy breakfast, the first day we were told no one showed for work so breakfast is unavailable. The next day there was a sign on the wall that stated the kitchen is out of order - no breakfast will be served. No additional accommodations for the inconvenience was provided. My plan was to keep the peace and not show my displeasure. I will write a letter to the corporate office and request recompense for the lack of service, accommodations, and lack of safety.…
i am a travel agent and havent stayed at this hotel but i have been trying for 3 days now to have them send me an urgent form for a guest i have in house. i spoke to Porsha twice who never sent it to me. i called last night, wasnt given a name but was told she was too busy to send it to me. i called at 6pm hotel time knowing check in and check out times are busy. this morning my coworker called and asked for the manager to which she was told noone on duty. when she asked for the managers name she wouldnt tell us. i believe chris torres is the manager, who knows. i had to go on linkedin to find out. the front desk is very uncooperative. i hope they treat their actual guests better than those of us sending them business and keeping them in a job.next time i'll book a marriott or hyatt. tsk tsk! …
Let me start by saying this a nice hotel. Please don't stay here if you suffer from pet allergies. I saw that this was a pet friendly hotel when I booked it. I figured they used certain rooms or maybe floors for guests with pets. Not the case. We settled into our room and I started to sneeze. I looked around and noticed there was dog hair on the couch and couch pillows. Yes, we could've asked for a different room but who knows if that one had been occupied by an animal and we were there for a funeral and I wasn't really up to switching. I'm sure they clean the rooms after each stay however no amount of cleaning will remove all of the hair and dander. It is embedded into everything. This is just a heads up to anyone who suffers from pet allergies. Also, don't expect to get recognized as a Hilton Rewards member. Otherwise, nice hotel.…
There was two big blood stains on mattress and they came with a mattress pad to cover when finally giving a new room the power went out around three am and they never came to fix lobby restroom not cleaned when front desk was told we were told she by herself so it will be that way till morning
Spent 4 nights at the Homewood Suites Wauwatosa in August, hoping it would be a better experience after a week in July at the Embassy Suites in Brookfield. We appreciated having a full-size fridge and a number of restaurants within walking distance. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our garbage disposal didn’t work, so they sent up maintenance, who arrived within just a few minutes and dislodged something that was stuck in it from previous guests. Negatives: - The thudding. Oh, the thudding. We were on the 4th floor, and you could very much hear people walking around, dropping things, jumping around (not kidding), thudding, etc. from the room above. This happened a number of nights in a row. Our baby woke up numerous times due to the noise from the room above. - Weed! We always seemed to smell weed inside or whenever we’d walk outside the hotel. - Short staffing (which seems to be at every Hilton hotel now; not sure about other brands). Each day after housekeeping was done for the day, there would still be piles of garbage and towels in hallways. - We were given an accessible room. Tried e-check in the day before in the app, but it said Hilton “has a great room waiting for us!” Not so much. I don’t want or need an accessible room, and would like to have been told that when we checked in and that was the room selected for us. Also, we have the issue at all Hiltons (we’re Hilton Diamond) with e-check in where, if we can, we pick a room, but when we show up at the hotel, it’s never available. Why even offer e-check in? It’s a waste of time to do it.…
This is the worst hotel staff I have ever encountered traveling the world for work. I check in and go up to my room and see the sign on the door in my attached picture. Not ideal, but okay. Sit on the bed....wet. Sit on the couch....wet. Office chair... wet. Towels...wet. I call the front desk and tell them everything's wet, and they tell me yeah we just had the carpets cleaned. I tell them my soaked pants from sitting on the couch say otherwisem and he says yeah they did the couches too, but will send a manager up to change the linens. He comes up with another "manager" and they tell me I'm wrong it's jsut the carpet and I should have known because of the the paper in 8 pt font sitting on the coffee table in the room saying they'd be cleaning the rooms on these dates. I tell them I want a new room, and they tell me they have no other rooms, they're all booked. I tell him okay I want a refund and I'll be checking out. He say's that can be taken care of at the front desk. I walk out and they slam the door behind me and stay in the room. I go to the front desk and ask if those are the managers and the guy tells me that they are and he is also the manager. Meanwhile, another employee is laughing behind the desk. I ask him what's funny and he says nobody else cares that their rooms are wet- they are just thankful they are cleaned. The "third manager" then points to another 8pt font piece of paper on the receptionist desk an says I should have known when I booked from Michigan because they have it posted here. Atfter this blatant disrespect I finally give them a piece of my mind and another "manager" comes out to tell me to calm down and keep my voice down. I finally get a printed receipt that my roo will be refunded with no business name or anything looking like he typed it on Notepad. As I'm walking out I hear the "third manager" Damiaan shout about how he will be fine pleasuring himself via self-penetration later that night. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!…
EVERYONE at the front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, management, etc. was kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable, welcome, and appreciated. During a 30 year career of excessive business travel at nearly every type of hotel, I can say that the service at this hotel has met and even exceeded the service at 5-star hotels. Location is great if you like shopping, parks, and trails. Hotel is also pet-friendly.
