My 2 sisters, niece and I spent 3 days at in the Grainary. We did alot of shopping during the day and needed a place to stay at night. We were not disappointed at all! Breakfast was the best, always nice and warm, delivered to our cabin. Pleanty to eat and very healthy.
This was our first time staying at a B&B and we really enjoyed it. Paul and Shayna were excellent hosts providing us a quiet place to stay when we were in the area for a funeral. The morning coffee was delicious, as were the varied breakfasts we had both in the B&B and as a take away for our early flight the last day. Our room, Helen's room, had a great view of the new snow which fell the first night. It was like a Christmas card. So many parts of the house reminded me of my grandmother's home in Ohio, especially the painted wood floors upstairs.
So very delightful! I needed a peaceful getaway and this was perfect. Thank you, Paul and Shayna for your gracious hospitality—I felt so spoiled! The coffee and breakfasts were delicious!! I loved the comfy common living room by the wood stove and the breakfast room with beautiful view of the river and bird feeders! Lucy’s room was comfy and cozy too. I enjoyed walking the grounds and area. Will be back in warmer weather with my husband for kayaking and biking. I highly recommend this Inn!
My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Crystal River Inn Woodlands Cottage. There was a gas fireplace keeping us toasty warm in the comfortable living room. Ground coffee fit the environment. Excellent gluten free breakfasts were delivered to our cabin.
My husband and I along with another couple recently spent two nights at the Crystal River Inn at another friend's suggestion. We were delighted with our choice and had a blissfully relaxing stay. The inn itself is quaint, charming and beautifully decorated. It's located in the historic village of Rural ,is situated on a renovated farm homestead and is located right on the Crystal River. We stayed at the Little House on the Prairie which is more rustic than the inn, itself but allowed us to bring our dog along and was clean, spacious and comfortable and would have accommodated another couple or even worked for a whole family with two bedrooms and private baths on the first floor, an upstairs loft with two twin beds, a full kitchen and living room and a screened in porch. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about nearby hiking, biking, and kyaking and provided terrific dining suggestions. They also created absolutely sumptious full breakfasts which they graciously brought to our cabin at our request. The Waupaca Chain of Lakes is a beautiful area, and we especially enjoyed Hartman Creek State Park which is a short and lovely drive from the inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.…
My husband and I just came back from a two night stay at the Crystal River Inn, staying in the beautiful Canopy Room! We loved the beauty of the room’s king sized canopy bed with the gorgeous colors of the bedding and wallpaper! The jacuzzi tub and fireplace was wonderful too! The attached porch was so nice and hearing and seeing the river right there was so peaceful, especially with all the wildflowers outside! I personally loved visiting with their friendly kitties (but if you aren’t a cat person, they are outside). Breakfast was super filling, healthy and yummy! We loved walking around the quaint and beautiful town of Rural too! Paul and Shayna are gracious hosts and we enjoyed talking with them and other guests. Thank you for such a wonderful, restful get-away!
A vacation should be different than everyday. For us, we were able to relax and have confidence that our time was not hurried but well spent. The room was comfortable and provided what we needed - bed, light and sink. Breakfast was creative and the conversations enjoyable.
Great service, Great breakfast, Comfortable cabin with plenty of amenities and close to lakes, hiking, kayaking, etc. We stayed in the Little House on the Prairie cabin with family and loved it. Plenty of space and all the necessary amenities for a week long stay. Beautiful old buildings on the grounds. Rented kayaks for one of the days and had a fantastic time on the lakes and Crystal River. The staff took us and the kayaks to the boat launch and sent us on our way with all the necessary gear (and for a great price). The breakfast is homemade and varied each day. The one thing consistent about the breakfast was that it was always delicious! We would all stay here again and highly recommend it!
Paul and Shayna provided great hospitality for our group of 8 friends this past weekend at The Crystal River Inn. They went above and beyond. Kayaking and biking were really fun. I totally recommend this hidden gem.
This was our second time staying at the Crystal River Inn, and we already have plans to be there again! As our extended family outgrew my uncle's cottage on a nearby lake we tried borrowing cottage-y cabins from neighbor friends, until we found the Crystal River Inn. Now, my sister and aunt and I all enjoy CRI comfort, whether we're in The Coop or The Canopy Room, we always get a great night's sleep and a delicious breakfast. The innkeepers are so genuinely kind, we look forward to seeing them time after time. When I needed a bike they had one for me to ride, when there was a tornado warning they let us know they have a basement, and reconfiguring a room for a kid's cot was no aggro at all. Already looking forward to next time!
