Just happened on this location during a search of hotels in the area. So glad we did!! The attention to detail and personal attention by Kerri is top notch. Kerri makes you feel like you are her most important guest and is anxious to make the stay care free. She is also a great resource for information on things to do in the area from parks and lakes, to restaurants and gift shop. The breakfasts were amazing - the ham and asparagus strata was truly special. And, due to social distancing, Kerri did all she could to make sure all the guests felt comfortable, whether inside or out. We were able to snag a table for 2 on the front porch on Sunday morning - serene.

Thank you for staying with us and I am so glad that you had a good time at our Inn and in our quaint Waupaca and our pristine and beautiful Chain o Lakes area. So many places to enjoy some fresh air and crystal clear waters. Our specialty shopping is terrific and as we say, "From the Chain to Main", lots to do and see! In this age of social distancing and safety being a top priority, we work hard at our Inn to give our guest peace-of-mind by implementing our Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast Association's A Safer Way To Stay program, which is our commitment to keeping travel safe. Thanks again for staying with us and we sincerely hope to see you again in the not to distant future.

Perfectly located for all kinds of area activities, Apple Tree Lane is a beautifully appointed and gracious home away from home. I was welcomed warmly (and coolly with a glass of cold sauvignon blanc on a warm day) and felt like I was staying with newly-met friends. To my delight, Kerri even helped me with a shuttle so I could paddle one of her favorite places before I headed home after my stay. Be sure to enjoy the grounds as well. I walked down the groomed path (nibbling blackberries along the way) to a well-placed bench beside the Crystal River with my fresh cup of coffee and journal for a couple of hours of peace before a delicious breakfast that accommodated me as a vegetarian. You will love your stay! Thanks, Kerri and Mike, for making mine memorable.

Thank you for your nice comments. It was a pleasure to meet you (a fellow kayaker!) and have you stay with us. I am elated you enjoyed our wonderful paddling experiences here in Waupaca; one being a upper chain 'o lakes trip and one the river trip from the Red Mill into Shadow Lake. The Apple Tree Lane is always a relaxing and tranquil place to return to after a day of adventuring to enjoy a glass of wine down by the river, and this time of year, munching the way down the path while picking and eating the blackberries and black raspberries! Thank you once again and we hope to see you back. Truly, Waupaca is a special place is ALL seasons. All the best, Jennifer!

Lovely home! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Apple Tree and will definitely return. Allison the innkeeper made us feel very welcome, having coffee, tea, soda, and water available 24 hrs without having to ask was so nice! The breakfasts both mornings were delicious and filling enough that we didn't need lunch. We stayed in the Chestnut room, which had everything we needed, even a small fridge in our room. We hiked in nearby Hartman Creek State Park and visited the nearby Hinder Brewery and Central Waters Brewery in nearby Amherst, both very enjoyable. Maybe do a repeat trip in the fall for colors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Apple Tree Lane B&B! Kerri was a wonderful host who made us feel so welcome! We stayed in the beautiful Crystal Cove Suite, which was very clean, private and spacious, and enjoyed the whirlpool tub. We also were privileged to use one of the beautiful sitting rooms to visit with old friends who lived nearby. The homemade breakfast was delicious! There was a break in the rainy weather that allowed us a walk to the river before we left: what a peaceful setting! Highly recommend this wonderful B&B!

Thank you very much for your kind review. We are so happy that you had an enjoyable stay. Reconnecting with old friends that you have not seen in a very long time is always special. We are glad you were able to relax and visit in our common areas. Both our Parlor and Orchard Room have comfortable seating and are often used for reading, relaxing and reconnecting. Soon, even in rainy weather, our quaint covered porch, with its wicker lounge chairs, bistro table and chairs or glider will make a perfect spot to enjoy too. Hope to see you back soon and thank you again for staying with us.

We LOVED the Walnut Room ....everything from the classy door hinges and light fixtures to the highest quality furniture and linens! After enjoying some quiet time by the river our first afternoon there, we saw 2 deer pracing across the path as we walked back up to the house. There's an option of evenings by the firepit too!
We were celebrating our 18th anniversary and I was even able to play "More" on the piano in the front parlor for him!
The breakfasts were delicious, nutritious and delightfully presented. The host was very responsive to our needs...even bringing bandaids to our room for us when we needed one!

Excellent bed & breakfast. Our room was so cozy, clean, and comfortable. The grounds of the Inn are beautiful. The weather wasn't great during our stay but we did get in at least one walk to the river. Kerri was an exceptional host who was able to answer all of our questions and give some excellent and honest recommendations on local restaurants. We would highly recommend Apple Tree Land B&B.

If only we could control the weather!? We have a better chance of getting the deer to come up from our 400 ft of beautiful Crystal River frontage to greet our guests!??! Regardless, and truly, Waupaca is a great destination in all seasons, rain or shine. I am glad you had a chance between raindrops to explore our historic 7 acres and the river. We all need a little peace and tranquility and we are pleased you found it here. We love to share the best of Waupaca with you, and our restaurants, shopping scene and attractions are always a hit with our guests. Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review and we hope to see you both back soon! Stay safe, well and happy! All the best, Kerri, Owner/Innkeeper, Apple Tree Lane Bed & Breakfast, Waupaca, WI

Spent 4 days and 3 nights visiting friends and family in Waupaca area. Booked at the B&B instead of the usual hotel. Best decision I could have made. Becky was a wonderful hostess, not to mention the breakfasts she made were AWESOME. I even shared the recipe for one of the dishes with friends. From her great suggestions on adventures, the cookies and beverages available 24/7, tasty breakfasts, the soft robes and comfy beds, (not to mention the fabulous bath products), it was a relaxing weekend trip. Only small surprise was being awakened by the roosters in the AM instead of my alarm clock, just part of the experience. Close to all the places I wanted to go, easy access to freeway, but quiet and charming grounds and home. I certainly plan to start booking here each time I am in Waupaca instead of the hotel from this point on.
Thanks again Becky. Bonnie

Please do yourself a favor and stay at the Apple Tree Lane B&B! It is truly a slice of heaven. The warm and generous hospitality of Kerri, the owner and manager knows no bounds. The charming details of this 100+ year old home will make you feel like a protagonist in a Jane Austen novel. A very filling and delicious breakfast will await you every morning. And sitting along the bank of the river among the trees behind the B&B will induce the sort of inner peace that would only otherwise be procured after years of meditative practice. (Or so I would imagine). I am so delighted to have discovered this gem and I hope you will too!

My wife and I celebrated our birthdays at Appletree. We had a wonderful time and Kerri made us feel real special by having everyone sing Happy birthday and putting candles in our delicious scones. We met 2 very nice couples there who we shared similar views on life. The house was beautiful and our breakfast meals were some the best I've ever had. Truly gourmet. Our room was very cozy with the fireplace and 2 person jacuzzi. Very romantic. Can't wait to go again!!!! Thanks so much Kerri for being such a gracious hostess! God bless! Dan and Patty.

It was a pleasure to meet you both and thank you for choosing the Apple Tree Lane Bed & Breakfast to celebrate your mutual February birthdays! We love to try to make special occasions, well special (!), so although I was not blessed with a great singing voice, thanks to the other guests joining in, glad you liked your happy birthday song and candle in the breakfast! Our Crystal Cove Suite is our most popular suite, and in the colder months, that gas fireplace, 2-person whirlpool, King bed, and full couch do make it a romantic retreat. I will look forward to seeing you both again. I so enjoyed our conversations!

We stayed in the artfully decorated Crystal Cove Suite. Appreciated the comfy couch with reading light, the high quality linens, the bedside outlets, the great shower with good water pressure.
Spent an hour on the screened porch playing cards, though could have chosen a couple of other attractive nooks to wile the time.
Innkeeper Becky Fletcher was fun to chat with and took good care to prepare a nummy breakfast for my no-eggs vegetarian hubs. Looking forward to exploring the river walk on their 7+acres tomorrow.
