Had an amazing stay at Comfort Suites at Par4 Resort Waupaca. Great service, exceptionally clean rooms and facility. Only improves over the years. Thanks for the great stay Comfort Suites. Highly recommended Comfort Suites at Par4 Resort. We will be back soon.
I am shocked at the reviews on here for this place. I camp and sleep in a tent so I wouldn’t say I am “high maintenance” but I would never stay here again. The room was very musty, the air conditioner loud, the bathroom sink didn’t drain right and the pack n play we received was broken! The pool area is way short of spa. The kids pool was freezing and when I shared this feedback which they asked for… I was told “I’m sorry it was too cold for your child, we keep it at 85 degrees.” All I can say is, it was too cold for me…. And no one else was in it. The big pool was a nice temp, the kids pool was freezing so on this day it must have been turned off. For the price we paid, I would never stay here again. I would mark this is a stay at your own risk. It is quite dated as well if that’s something you look for. Lastly if you stay for a wedding, which we did not but happened to be happening, ask to stay in the front of the hotel because the party happens about 50 ft from the end of the building and it’s LOUD!…
This hotel has the distinction of the nicest hotel in Metropolitan Waupaca. Rooms are large and beds comfortable. Good place to stay but don't expect the extras of Comfort Suites competitors like Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard or Fairfield Inns. Front office staff are devoid of personality and emotion. No welcome or courtesy, just transaction of business. There's in- room coffee but it's awful (coffee brewed in lobby is good). Micro and fridge are nice. I'd avoid staying on the first floor. the chlorine from the pool permeates the hallway and even the lobby. Breakfast is ok--the usual cereals, breads and microwaved sandwiches. FYI: No one is masking here--not staff or guests. This despite what the owners told trip advisor (see above). COVID is raging in Waupaca county now, but no one seems to care. Lots of hygiene theater with hand sanitizer at desk and 6 feet stickers on the floor as well as optional housekeeping service. Overall, good value for the money and clean. I'll stay here again. just not polished like their competitors in this price range…
We got a room with 2 queen-sized beds. They were clean, comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep. We even had a small sitting area between the beds and the bathrooms. Had a mini-fridge as well. There was a good swimming pool and small workout room. This is basically "on the golf course" - so that might be a reason people stay there. We were looking for something reasonably priced with a room for 3 adults and we got it. Solidly what you expect from a Comfort Inn. No frills, yet nothing to complain about. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. Limited items of course, but it worked fine.
My husband and I revisited this hotel almost a year after we were first there. It continues to be very clean, good service and good amenities. Breakfast has improved since our last visit, and was adequate in the present "Covid 19 situation". We were disappointed that the hot tub was out of order, but mechanical things happen. We love that the restaurant and bar is just across the parking lot and does not require driving. A really great place for a little getaway.
This is the place to stay in Waupaca, WI. The hotel is one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in and I travel a lot. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable. The restaurant next door is a great place to have a drink or a meal.
I stayed here with my wife for a company Christmas Party. We had a room with a king bed. The room was very clean, and the beds here are very comfortable. The room is nice and large. TV is only a 32", so it seems really small. I know we are not there to watch tv, but a larger tv would be nice. The shower is my only negative. I am only six foot tall, but I had to duck down to get underneath the shower head.
Expensive for an off season from the golf course. Expensive for a hockey tournament. Nice hotel but just not in our budget, didnt seem to budge much on the price when trying to get a room block. Some of our families stayed elsewhere.
My husband and I stayed overnight in Waupaca with the intention of taking the boat trip on the Crystal Chain of Lakes. Due to the weather, it was cancelled and we spent the day in Waupaca seeing the town and enjoying the hotel. The Comfort Inn & Suites is located within a golfing resort, but close to town and to the Chain of Lakes. Staff were accommodating and checked us in early. The hotel is welcoming, the rooms warm and spacey, the pool area very nice and everything was very clean. Breakfast was the typical fare. We ate at the restaurant and had drinks at the bar next door. Very convenient and food was good.
A big group of is stayed here. Sorry, but no pick up service to the local General Aviation airport. Nice small, clean lobby with friendly check-in service. Our room with two queen size beds was also nice, clean, and modern. There was a pool and workout room, but I didn't partake in either. Other than the Par 4 Bistro and the golf course, there's not much around unless you don't mind a 20 minute walk...about a mile, which is very doable. Then there are a few other places to eat/drink. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. Limited items of course, but it works. Some of the other reviews I've read mention an additional room safe charge. But since my friend was picking up the room charges at this stop, I don't know if we were also hit. For me, no complaints about our two night stay.…
