While staying at the resort on 11/20 and 21. I sat and watched a life guard spit, yes spit on the floor in front of me, when I asked him he laughed told me it was a water park and that chlorine kills everything. I immediately went and complained to management, who talked to the kid who was laughing the entire time. The kid came and splashed some water on the floor where he spit, I said you missed it, he then threw more water all while laughing and made circulate motions with his had, and then went to go back to the pool to rise his hand until I said no. I felt I was harassed the reminder of our stay. In addition, pool area was cold, the pools were cold. The rooms did not feel clean (no toilet paper in our room), other room we had had a 1/2 roll of toilet paper sitting on the back of the toilet because the roller was missing.

The resort itself was pretty nice. There wasn’t much to do (pool hours were SUPER limited and only one restaurant had a few open hours for dinner). I went there with my two teenage daughters for a little getaway… We were looking forward to hanging out in the pool and watching Hallmark movies. Upon arriving, they couldn’t find any working remotes for our TV (it seriously took like 20 clicks to change one station-they did admit they have nothing but trouble with that type of tv), and the Hallmark station wouldn’t come in. The pool was only open a few hours for our three days there… And the hot tub got shut down because someone did something in it that needed to be cleaned-and the next morning it was really cold because they must have had to drain it. For the type of visit we had -the exorbitant resort fee was not worth it, should have used our money elsewhere.

We came down from the Cities to join our friends from the Milwaukee area for a final summer trip with all our kids. We chose 3 Bears because it was half way between us and it was NOT the Dells which has gotten way out of hand with way too many people and too much traffic. We wanted fun with a quieter area and 3 Bears delivered this. We had 7 kids and 4 adults and two dogs and had a blast! We rented a villa on the grounds. This is a popular option and there are lots of these. We were allowed to have our dog(s) and there was plenty of space. The villas feature a full kitchen, upper level loft area with beds and 3/4 bath for the kids to share with a tv, lower level has living space, kitchen, and two bedrooms and a full bath. There is also a shared washer/dryer between the units as there are two per building. The units have a picnic table and fire ring which is awesome for evenings outside to chill by a fire. The big attraction is the water park which is indoor and outdoor. The indoor park is slightly bigger than the outdoor one and just a big nicer. Indoor has a nice lazy river which goes through a very, very small wave pool, 4 big indoor slides, several small slides near a big kiddy area. There is also a big common pool with basketball. There are plenty of seats to chill at and two nice hot tubs, one which is indoor and connects to the outdoor one. It was too chilly to be outside the entire weekend but the outdoor park has a small pool and some slides and kiddy area. I think we spent about $500 a family and packed our own meals so for a two night two day hotel stay with water parks, I felt we got a good deal. If you get a villa - bring the items you really want as the kitchen has basics but not everything you might need for cooking/baking. Bring your own lawn chairs, extra blankets, and yard games - we forgot that stuff. Also beds are small and not super comfy, so nicer beds would be a plus. Highlights Pros - water park(s), staff was friendly, nice villas, clean, not too crazy or busy like the Dells, near a lot of activities in the area - lakes, hiking, etc. Cons - Not enough tubes to slide when water park got busier, wave pool is a 15 min down time and 2 minutes of waves (super lame), and snack bar had limited options.

I parked at Three Bears Resort for 4 1/2 hours on August 2nd, while I was there my car was damaged. I attempted to contact Three Bears Resort by phone (left messages on GM's voice mail) and by email through their website to see if they might have video of their parking lot. They did not respond at all, so I can only assume they do not care about customer service!!

Me, my husband and our 13 year old daughter wanted to get away but stay in Wisconsin. Outdoor pool was key so we decided to stay here. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Lots to do within the resort that we didn’t take advantage of like mini golf and a large part of the waterpark. We did go down a slide and used the lazy river and wave pool which was fun despite being shallow water...it is what you make it. They have individual outdoor fire pits and we bought wood and a s’mores package for a fire. The front desk gave me paper and matches to get it started. It was awesome to sit outside as my original idea was to stay in a cabin up north..:. Staff was super friendly and overall the grounds were eel maintained. However, there was a decent amount of things out of order...laser maze, some sanitizer stations and other little things. In addition, on a bigger scale the interior needs some remodeling..:carpet is old and stained in places, lampshade was tearing and blankets were older. However, for the price we paid I can’t be too surprised. I’d pay extra for some remodeling though. In addition, when someone tells you they make sure things are thoroughly cleaned due to Covid 19 I’d like to believe it. If I were overly concerned I wouldn’t have traveled..: however I was pretty grossed out when I found a cheetoh on the floor near the bed from the previous occupants. Much worse was the cup of cigarette butts on the balcony combined with a few loose butts. Due to Covid, staff couldn’t enter my room so I had to get a glove and bag from front desk to clean it up myself. I know carpet replacement and things like that are huge projects...thoroughly cleaning a room, I.e. doing your job, should be a baseline expectation even during non pandemic times. We’d probably come back if we were ever looking to get away and outside the dells. But hope our room would be clean. All in all we had a good time. Families and staff were nice and respectful. I appreciated the balcony room too. This is not a five star hotel so expectations should be managed. And if you plan to use the fitness center you’ll need to get creative as it’s five pieces of cardio and one cable type machine for weights. No free weights and no water in fitness center. We also did the bear bogging which is across from the hotel lobby and walked through the grounds. Arcade was fun but super hot. Not a ton to do nearby. Wanted to hike at black river falls state park but reviews of trails mentioned too many ticks for my taste. We did drive to wazee lake today to paddle board and hang out at the beach. But the beach was closed which was sad.
