Detailed Reviews
We found the Lighthouse Inn because of its water front location on google maps and were glad when we arrived. The room was spacious and the views of Lake Michigan were outstanding. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room and the rest of the hotel clean, and the hotel still offers daily cleaning and towel service unless you decline. The Inn offers the best water/lake front dining in the area with large windows facing the lake and a two-tiered room offering everyone a great view. The menu offered traditional items and the food was very good and the staff friendly. The hotel is steps away from a walk on the beach and the Mariners Trail for walking or bike riding along the lake. Great place to stay.

Stayed at a lot of older hotels and this one is a good one! Friendly & welcoming staff with easy checkin/checkout. Waterfront room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Bed was comfortable and extra pillows were in the room. Cannot speak to the pool as we did not use it. Great location in Two Rivers and close to Manitowac for catching the SS Badger. Hotel restaurant was top notch service and great food selections. Complimentary breakfast options, but if you didn't want them, you receive money off their other breakfast menu items. Will stay here again for sure!

Classy hotel with boutique style environment, bar, restaurant, and small fishing pier. Staff was friendly and the price was reasonable. We were pool side with rocking chairs outside. Nice bbq pit area near the pool. The morning breakfast is good with plenty of choices. Good location.
This fishing pier has some lights and is small. It’s nice but some guests don’t honor the normal rockport friendliness and dominate the small pier with multiple fishing rods casted in multiple directions blocking others from fishing. The large Fulton pier is literally 200 yards away from the hotel and has plenty of room for these selfish guests. There should be a one rod per guest rule to allow others room to make casts.
Add another star to my rating if lights were added to the front of the pier and a simple sign on the pier entrance stating one rod allowed per guest.

We stopped here on Saturday morning around 930am to grab breakfast on the way to Algoma to visit my mom. When we walked up to the hostess and the two teens were complaining about how many people they had we should of known service was going to be awful. We were then seated at a great table by the windows. We proceeded to sit here for almost 15 minutes before I finally asked a server if anyone was able to help us. The server was rude and said well once I move these other people who have been here way before you, then I will get you help. The waitress who did come over was very apologetic and stated she never works weekends. She ended up being awesome and received the 25% tip we gave her. Once we got our food his biscuits and gravy were cold, his eggs were hardly warm and my omelette was the size of a piece of toast. The food and the staff was so subpar I would never set foot in that building again. The young male who was bussing the tables was very attentive and fast along with our server other then that, your staff needs attention badly along with the level of food we received.
I never write reviews but we are both in the service industry both Porsche and Mercedes and if our clients were treated how we were along with the subpar food and staff we would never have clients.

Really quite horrific...bathtub faucet that wouldn't completely turn off, coffee pot that leaked half the coffee every time coffee was poured, dysfunctional channel surfing button on TV remote, dingy and musty hallway carpets, very dated room furnishings. The hotel looks like it saw its heyday about 30 years ago and has faced a lot of neglect since. A "complimentary breakfast" is offered to hotels guests in the restaurant with the caveat that a $5 or so tip is expected, and the breakfast is like fit for a mouse. Some of the problems above were just brushed off by front desk staff when they were brought up. I would say the only positives here are the location next to the lake and the indoor pool/hot tub, and if your room is on the highway side, it's like you might as well be at a hotel that's not on the beach at all.

Our recent lunch at Lighthouse Restaurant was beyond disappointing. The service was slow; we waited a very long time for a Virgin Mary and coffee. I asked for some spice in the drink. I got plain tomato juice. You couldn't see a speck of spice in the glass. The French Onion soup was good, but my "no mayo please" sandwich came with mayo on half of it. The waiter offered to make me 1/2 sandwich to go; we were traveling, so a BLT wouldn't have traveled well. Why not just charge me for a 1/2 sandwich (which are on the menu) instead of a full sandwich? That didn't happen. We didn't even get a bill from the waiter it was that slow, and the place really wasn't crowded/busy. We went to the host/hostess station to just pay and leave. We were here about 6 months ago and it was quite good, but the service and quality has really tanked. We won't be going back and I do not recommend this place for a good meal. There are plenty of other places with nice views of the lake where you can get a good meal.

Review of bar and banquet food only. The bar has one of the nicest views in the state. You look out a huge paneglass window directly at Lake Michigan with a purple fringe of wild chives in spring. The staff was helpful in confirming my ID of this plant. The banquet food was awful. Lowest possible quality ingredients used. Think Wonderbread buns for burgers and brats, frozen veggies, unseasoned baked chicken. This may be the fault of the organizers picking this menu- perhaps they have better on offer.

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was cheerful and polite. Great view of Lake Michigan from the room. Only stayed one night and did not use the pool. Free cooked-to-order breakfast offered in the restaurant was very good. We would stay again if in Manitowoc, WI.

How would you feel if you put in a reservation a full year before for a deluxe room facing Lake Michigan for the third and Forth of July to see the beautiful fireworks and to be told just the night before that they decided to give your room to someone else? They then gave us a lesser room facing the trees and beach. We were told that if we didn't like the situation that we could always just cancel, knowingly that everything is booked in the area. There was no compensation offered. They even made sound as if they gave us a reduced rate, but in reality charged us the same rate as this room is set for. The front desk girl was extremely rude and outright mean. We had several times throughout the year checked in and made sure that the room was reserved as we needed to take time off from work. We even confirmed the reservation a couple of days earlier. We are reoccurring customers for years and never expected to be treated so badly.

The title of this review pretty much sums it up. The hotel is older, but the room was clean. We had a room with 2 queen beds, but the beds seemed small for being queens. The mattresses were comfortable enough, but could use replacing.
The hotel is literally right on the lake. Unfortunately the day we were there, it was very rainy and cloudy, so there wasn't much to look at except for gray sky and rough waters. I'm sure when the weather is nicer, there are some really great views and sunsets.
The free/included breakfast comes from the restaurant. You can order off the "included" menu for a free breakfast, or use your coupon as a $5 voucher for anything you want at the restaurant. Given the covid pandemic, we decided to do a pick-up order and bring it back to the room instead of eating in the restaurant. We both ordered from the "included" menu and got ham and cheese omelets. When we picked up the food at the restaurant we signed the receipt stating $0.00. Breakfast and the omelets were great!
As we were settling our bill at check-out, we noticed that they added $1 for breakfast, even though breakfast was included. The front desk had to call the restaurant to try and clear it up. After about 10 minutes they finally took the $1 off our bill. I understand that $1 is not a big deal, but it is very wrong and unethical for them to add money to a bill for no reason, especially when the receipt was already signed at $0. $1 is not a lot of money, but if it is added to everyone's bill (and it goes unnoticed) it can add up to a lot of money. Check your Bill.
Overall the hotel was nice and we had a nice stay. The restaurant trying to tack money onto our bill did leave a negative impression.

Yes, there's an elevator.
Amazing!
I’m sorry. I am not sure about pets.
I agree with the above answers. Not much of a tourist destination.A better choice is Milwaukee. It offers a variety of big city amenities including a walkable downtown riverfront area, lots of restaurants and micro breweries. Other attractions are the art museum on the lakefront, the history museum and the "domes," an inside/outside horticultural park, and a world famous zoo.
Sorry. We did not rent them.
