Recently came back from staying two nights at this hotel, in the Juniper Suite which is not connected to the main hotel/restsurant. We knew this. Just a tiny walk across the lawn to get to our room. While the room was very clean, it is also very dated in its decor. The house itself is divided into two rooms, up...

Unplanned first visit to the Trempealeau Hotel turned out to be very memorable experience. We were biking the Great River Trail along the Black and Mississippi Rivers and discovered this place with some help from some fellow bikers. There is a sign for the Hotel on the bike trail but it is located a few blocks away in Trempealeau. We...

We did not stay at the hotel, only ate dinner there. The food is from local sources and was very fresh and great flavor. The only down side is that it was a Monday night and the restaurant did not give us a choice of soup or salad, just salad and the fresh bread listed on the menu was also...

Trempealeau is fantastic weekend getaway with miles of biking trails along the Mississippi. If you go, the Trempealeau Hotel is the place to stay. They had live music, amazing fresh food in the restaurant and extremely reasonable prices.

I don't mind paying a fair price for lodging, but there wasn't much value for the price of the room especially when the motel across the street boasting the same river view is almost half the price. Our meals in the restaurant were OK. The owner recommended the pork chop, which was good though I've had better. If we return...

Unfortunately, our opinion of this place has gone way, way downhill. Today's visit was terrible. Expensive for the small portions, and our server today was downright rude. It took forever to get our food. Just so disappointed. May still come for concerts and drinks, but we are done eating here.

If you like the old timey kind of hotel where you might have to wait for the bathroom, but you don't mind gazeing at Old Man River rolling by, this might be the place for you. in a word, Quaint. Okay a couple more words, laid back. Just where I want my mind when trying to relax. Bravo.

We loved so very many things about this 150+-year-old hotel, bar, impeccable restaurant, live music venue. We met a friend for drinks and dinner. So very, very impressed with the beer selection. Bartenders and wait staff were casual, friendly AND skilled. Dinner was 5-star--- I had seafood stew which was incredible, my date had beef medallions which she enjoyed, and...

It's the best view this side of the Mississippi. Good food, great people, best service!! I regimen the walnut burger but all of their food is pretty amazing! Beers are plentiful and live music often! Take a hike before or after at Perrot State Park. Great view!

I stayed in one of the rooms in the main building, above the bar. It was scrupulously clean, and, after the bar cleared out at about 10 pm, it was dead quiet. The room contained a bed, a chair, a dresser and a wardrobe. The owner told me that the building was built in 1871. There was a completely modern...
