We visited this place in July 2020. This was the best experience camping ever. The place was very clean and well kept. The owners land staff were amazing. We were treated like family. They offer full and half day canoeing and tubing trips you can reserve camp sites for tents, rv’s , campers, or they have cabins available. We can’t wait to go back !

We have enjoyed the Log Cabin Resort for many of the 36 years we’ve been doing our family reunion. We usually have between 30 and 50 people on Rodeo weekend. Kids of all ages and our new generation is getting larger every year. This is not easy to accommodate but Log Cabin always does a great job. They are very accommodating to our needs and wants. There is so much to do with the river, playground, inflatables and many activities including bubble mania and the train rides for kids. The store is a never ending area to find trinkets you can’t live without or needs- like ice cream or water shoes. John and Terese were great and we’re sad to see them go but also so excited for the new owners who have taken over. They are so friendly and it’s nice to see some more current updates. You can tell they are working very hard to make your weekend the best it can be. We come back year after year because we just can’t have a summer without family and the Log Cabin Resort.

Got a last minute booking for a primitive cabin at this resort for Memorial Day weekend. We had an excellent view from our cabin porch. Granted only a few campsites and cabins share this view the hospitality and offerings make up for it. The campground is on the Namekogen river which there is a swimming beach on. Yes there is current yes there is risk but the sandy beach is kid friendly. Be sure to buy the inflatables pass so your kids can jump on them. My two boys had a blast on them and made friends. Each Friday and Saturday evening they turn the little kid friendly splash pad into a huge bubble pile. Gotta see it to believe it. My kids loved it. As that is drawing down there is a train ride offered to the kids. They do a great job transitioning. You can rent kayaks, tubes, or canoes they drive you up river and you exit at the resort. Nice playground with Gaga ball. Can’t really speak to the campsites other than they seemed nice. Great place for kids we will be returning.

Been coming to this campground since I was a young kid, nothing tops Log Cabin for adult or family fun, nothing. Shoot the river in a canoe or tube, cut the kids loose on the playground, sit in a firewood stoked sauna, or go jump off the red bridge (the only time you can say YES to that question of "So if your friends all jumped off a bridge you'd do it too?"! Enjoy morning coffee listening to the songs of nature and watching the fog lift from the river, bonfires every night and smores for the kiddos, fishing and more fishing - honey holes everywhere - sorry but I won't tell you where ;) Bird watching, deer walking through the river while you paddle through endless areas of sandy swimming holes, movie night outside on the patio without cell phones or an iPad. If it storms, sit on the patio, clear night lay out on the beach and look up at the stars you'll see satellites and such you can't see from within city limits. Night fish for walleye and muskie, pack the cooler and have a BBQ (put the corn in a cooler with boiling water for larger parties). Kayak to the lake and go back up river for one heck of a workout, run the trails, hit up AAA Sports for your fishing or hunting gear before Spooner, head North and buy the freshest beef jerky at the market you've ever had right from the Jack's factory. Kids activities are endless, there's no bordem at Log Cabin- my nephews & niece beg to go back to this place every year. It is truly the greatest camping discovery my parents found back in the 90's (when it was just starting)- 3 generations in my family go here. LOG CABIN RESORT, family memories forever, tent it, RV it, stay in a primitive cabin or a fully stocked cabin. LOG CABIN brings families together, the owners are the best and feel like extended family. Check this place out!!!

We stayed here for an adult camping trip in our camper and went down the river twice. We loved our campsite and the people who were working. The campground was beautifully kept. There is a ton for kids to do! We are looking forward to bringing our little one on the next visit! I highly recommend this campground for camper or tents.
