Throughly enjoyed our stay at the White Lace Inn. Dennis, the owner, was super helpful, it really feels like all the guests are part of a small community. He makes home made breakfast daily and has a lot of recommendations about tourism in the area. They have a beautiful gazebo and outside sitting area with chairs and even a fire pit that is available to use for all guests. The rooms are very cute, towards the historic/antique side. The location of the B&B is great and there is a ton of cafes/restaurants even walking distance. Would definitely return here!!

The Inn is quaint with lots of antique style furnishings. My room had a fireplace and full bathroom. It was perfect for a stay and to visit Door County. Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The day I was there had a breakfast egg casserole that contained hash browns, cheese and eggs. Pumpkin bread and fruit were the sides along with juice, coffee or tea. There are restaurants within walking distance to the Inn. The Inn has a main house with several smaller houses with rooms. There is a nice courtyard that you can sit outside and relax. I only wish I could have stayed a few more days. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Well-appointed rooms in a garden setting. We stayed in the Garden House, one of several old homes that make up this inn. The main house (where breakfast is served) has a whole library of information about the area, complete with restaurant menus. A wonderful base for exploring Door County.

We booked a 3 night stay for the weekend. We arrived around 6 on a Friday night. We drove down the road from the opposite direction of the parking lot and accidentally parked in the main driveway. We walked in and the place was clean and antique looking. Knocked on the door in the kitchen and Dennis came out, greeted me, and then took me on the quick tour. Breakfast is in the morning from 8 -10:30 hot coffee on the table. Showed me my room in the main house and explained how the air worked and how to open the windows for ventilation. The drapes were a thin material and the room was not very dark at night for sleeping. Breakfast the next morning was 1 piece of stuffed French toast, 1 sausage link and small cup of warm poached pears, Juice and coffee. No seconds were available. I asked about Saturday breakfast and it was an egg dish which I don't eat. Was told there might be leftover French toast option. The final day it was French toast again, but I was able to get seconds because it wasn't a full house. We did see Dennis on our last day saying Hi to some guest but we never heard from him after the first night meet and greet. My wife did find a jar of Oreo cookies on the table, they were stale. There was no room service of any kind offered. For three days we took care of our own straightening and hanging towels up to reuse and dry. It was a good thing we didn't go through the toilet paper since there wasn't a spare roll in the room. Other than the uniqueness of the place I could have done better for less money ($600 for 3 nights). I guess I expected something more to a B&B. The house does show sign of wear and age, chipped sink, leaky faucet, etc. I did see there was a firepit in the yard, but weren't sure if it was available since it was not mentioned. The morning we left we told the woman that served us we were checking out, she came back and asked if the CC# was good for the balance. Was told I would get an email receipt. So much for a personal touch.

Raymond -- Thank you for staying at White Lace Inn ..... we do hope that you'll visit again someday soon . My apologies for not having a longer chat with you about what is available in our wonderful area of the world. ... there is so much to do here, in Door County. I'm typically here from 6:30 AM until around 9 PM .... so, I'm not sure how I would have missed you after your check in ... but I do try to talk to guests as much as they would like. I do appreciate that you have expressed an interest in talking to me more than just during the check in .. Thank you .. . I truly am almost always here. Again, Thank you for staying with us.

We were a bit underwhelmed by our stay at the White Lace Inn on our 1st visit to Door County. The location was good for day trips north on the peninsula. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our breakfast each morning(day 1 breakfast was repeated on day 3). Everywhere you look things need freshening and even cleaning. We stayed in the Garden House in room 9. This is a rather small room. The bed was very comfortable. Shower is small but sufficient. The only staff person we saw during our stay was Dennis, the owner. He was pleasant and helpful. We would likely stay somewhere different if we return to Door County.

We stayed in the Hadley House on the first floor, Suite #16. It was a wonderful place to stay for 4 nights. We had a kitchen next door to use with dishes, silverware, and cups. There was a coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. It was nice to get ice there, coffee in the morning, and a place for leftovers. The suite was a nice size with a large bedroom and a King bed. The living room was comfortable with a large couch, TV, and we used the gas fireplace a couple evenings. The bathroom was large with a hot tub and a walk in shower. We walked through a beautiful backyard to get to the main house for breakfast each morning, and the breakfasts were delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay there!

Our two nights at White Lace Inn were a special time as it was our first post-pandemic getaway! At first look, the main house appeared a bit shabby with a need for some painting, but the inside was lovely, inviting and comfortable! The host was congenial and spent quite awhile chatting with us over breakfast our second morning and the staff were quite responsive to our needs. The grounds are lovely and relaxing. Don’t choose a room in the main house if stairs are difficult— we could have used help getting our luggage up and down. But they have several houses and other options. The location is very convenient for Door County and we highly recommend it!

This B&B is a gem! From the owner’s greeting to the cook’s (chef’s?) farewell, the experience was friendly, comfortable and felt like home.

Dennis greeted us and asked if we’d been to the area before. We’ve been to Door Co., but not Sturgeon Bay. Though we would only be in town four days, he gave us a week's worth of ideas in town alone. He gave great suggestions throughout the region as well.

We chose the Victorian Rose room in the Garden House. A cozy, comfortable room next to a spacious garden with at least four seating areas, each large enough for a small gathering, but spread out enough that a couple couple sit alone and enjoy a drink and talk under the stars.

Breakfast is wonderful. Good sized portions are enough to get you going and satisfied until lunch. Cobbler stuffed French toast is a new favorite. A really nice touch was that, on the morning before our last day, the cook came over and talked with us. She was contemplating a couple of options for the next day’s meal and wondered which we would like.

The ONLY issue we had is that we went through a Booking website, which immediately instituted a $129 cancellation fee and added $62 over what making the reservation with the inn would’ve cost. Definitely nowhere near as friendly as the good people who run the place would behave. Do yourself a favor. Book direct...we certainly will next time.

Thank you for staying with us and the kind words .... We do hope to see you again very soon ... Also, the 'booking direct' comment . It definitely makes a difference and is much easier for you, as a customer, to deal with any changes to your reservation ... and, it's driving room rates up because of the cost of a 3rd party reservation service.

Needed a room for 1 night and other b&bs had minimum 2 nights. That was our reason for choosing White Lace Inn but the place won us over and we had a great stay. We were in the Hadley House (room 18) which is only a short walk through the garden to the main house. We like a quiet stay and our room was well insulated so we heard no outside noise. No other guests staying there so not sure of inside noise. The room was comfortable for relaxing in the evening. A short walk into town for shops and restaurants. Definitely would stay here again.

Very quiet and relaxing stay. Room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Each of the four houses are restored and connected with a. It’s garden and outdoor area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Coffee was special blend that made a coffee drinker out of me. The location was great within blocks of downtown shopping, dining, museums and farmers market.
