Beautiful garden, charming old house, Victorian rooms, spacious bathroom. Many exceptional details, and the property shows the love and care of the thoughtful host. A very pleasant place to stay, walking distance fro town and waterfront in a beautiful part of the world.
This was our third stay with David at the Reynolds House in the past 18 months, and each time it just gets better. Wonderful food, delightful company and great accommodations. We can't say enough about how welcoming David as and his lovable dog Celie are. We get our best R and R here. We've already booked our next visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
David and Cecile (doggie) was very welcoming, felt like we were old friends coming to visit. He made our weekend perfect, it was my boyfriend and I first year together. It was so relaxing, from the jacuzzi in our room and the comfortable bed. We watched tv downstairs and I put together a puzzle when we were sitting around at night. It was walking distance to downtown. And Dave made the best breakfast I ever had, very gourmet! Delicious!! Thank you David and Cecile, we will be back!
Staying at the Dancing Dragonfly is like a stay in days of long ago. The house is antique in many ways and filled with modern day amenities too. Your host David Hayes welcomes you with his assistant Ceilie, his cute dog. I don't exaggerate when I tell you the breakfast David serves is 5 star ! He makes you feel like you are in a fancy tea room. The rooms are spacious. There is a sun room with TV and always a big puzzle to work on. Or sit outside on the wrap around porch in a swing or comfortable chair. Any questions about the town or sight seeing ,David will gladly help you. There was no place else we wanted to stay for our anniversary. It was our 3rd visit. We love it and you will too.
We stayed here for two nights on our first visit to Door County. A great base for exploring Sturgeon Bay and Door County. Located on a quiet neighborhood street that is a nice retreat from the bustling summer activities. Easy walk to 3rd Avenue shops and restaurants. Also an easy walk across the river to the Maritime Museum. We stayed in the 'Sunrise Room". Spacious bedroom and ensuite bathroom. We slept well on the comfy bed. Breakfasts were delicious, shared at a common table with other guests. The breakfast is carefully prepared and nicely presented by David. I am sure if a guest were to have special dietary restrictions those needs could be accommodated with advance notice as everything is prepared from scratch. David helped us plan on our day with spot on advice after a few questions about our interests. I would say the best testament to David's hospitality is that we left feeling like we found a new friend.…
