I felt very fortunate to have run across this motel. It’s a gem! It is very clean and tidy and had a nice balcony to sit on in morning to drink our coffee. We will not only return next time we’re here but will also highly recommend to others!

I found the RunAway Lodge online and booked it for a night on our way through Door County. The online reservation process was a bit different as the actual reservation was not confirmed right away even though I gave all my contact and payment info. I had to call to make sure we actually had a room. We did and we were able to check in early, which was great. The room was clean, quiet, and the view from the balcony was lovely. Loved the large bathroom and separate vanity area! Met Ron (the owner) and had a nice chat about home and travel. He gave suggestions for sights to visit in DC and was very hospitable. It was great for a night's rest. Definitely would stay again!

My husband and I had driven by this place before and thought we might try it sometime. We just did this past weekend and we are so glad we did! Charming, clean and affordable are the best words to describe it here, but comfortable and quiet also come to mind. The rooms are very, very clean, the beds are comfortable and the setting is peaceful. I was worried there might be road noise, we didn’t hear a thing. Slept peacefully and comfortably. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!! Owners care and it shows. They even personally show you to your room! Top notch customer service. Loved it.

This is a quaint lodge that is not a bad location to about anything in Door County. The room was spacious, the bed comfy (but I will say you might want to take your own pillow) and it was very clean. There is a convenience store two buildings away if you need any snacks or anything. It has a nice little picnic and game area for guests. It was nice and quiet at night. The best thing is it is very affordable but during season you better book early.

We had a very nice stay at the RunAway Lodge this past weekend. The room was very clean and very comfortable! Only downside was the traffic noise, but that was not an issue during the night. It was nice enough to have the slider open all weekend. Highly recommend!
