Don’t let the name fool you. There is no harbour to see. This camp ground offers several amenities but with limited available time to use. We arrived at 4:15 on day of check in and were meet with a note on the door to the office stating to call the security officer to check in. After a quick call was told would have to wait till office opens at 10 am the next morning and to just set up our camp site for the night. We had hoped to use the pool the first night but were also told that it closed at 6 pm but we would need our wrist bands and would have to wait till am to receive these. Our camp site was listed as a rustic site and that it was. It was basically a tree covered area that had some cleared ground to place the tents. The fire ring was just that a ring no grate surface to cook over. Thankfully we brought our s’mores sticks to make hotdogs on. With the main office closed getting firewood required a trip to town to find some. Definitely would recommend renting a golf cart to get around since the shower houses are very spread out. These also have limited hours of use. They are each closed an hour in The am and at night for cleaning. Trash disposal was an issue too, according to the info sheet they pick up campsite trash twice a week. But on trash pick up day we saw no one come around to get it. We had to drive it to the dumpsters on the other side of the grounds ourselves. Seemed to be run for the most park by teens. Especially at the arcade area, very disjointed rental process too for the mini golf, bikes and other equipment. Life guards seemed more interested in there phones then the pool safety. For the price of our stay we got what we paid for. Definitely could use some upgrade to the property. Location is easy to get to, just north of sturgeon bay as you head toward Egg Harbour. Several wineries and distillery close by.

This place had a magical spark when we first visited in 2021 - naturally we wanted to come back to that same magic when we booked our adventure with the family for July 2023.

We rented a golf cart and it took 3x to get a working cart.
(1) dead battery, (2) flat tire, (3) flat tire that left us stranded a distance from camp.

The inflatable mountain climber at the beach was flat and could not hold air for the day, the waterslides were closed our entire stay & the jumping pillow was never turned on. They charged us full price for wristbands & had us buy one for the baby (15 months) Most campgrounds 2 & under are free, so this added expense upon arrival took me by surprise.

Harbour Village was quick to take our cash for wood & ice, but failed miserably in the customer service & service with a smile area of hospitality. Our family has agreed in unison this place lost its magic & we will not be back not that the magic is gone

Nice campsite. Huge water slides for the kids and private adults pool. Lake was also helpful for keeping the kids occupied. The only main problem was that the TV in the cabin we stayed in was broken and the workers there were kind of jerks.

The campground and amenities are good. There is a lot of activities for the family. Our reservation showed a 3pm check in time. After driving 3.5 hours with our 4 year old and 5 month old, we arrived at 3:10 and were told the office is closed until 4pm and we couldn't check in until then. Upon check in we find out there was a glitch in their booking system and they gave our campsite away. We were assigned a different site. Not the biggest deal as we were excited to be there. The reason for the 1 star is the young lady in the office was absolutely horrible and rude. There weren't any sites available so we were assigned an off-grid "ghost site" with no site# or fire pit. It was basically go to the end of the campground and back the rv up to the bathroom building. I went back to the office and asked if anything else was available. The young lady went absolutely berserk and threw a fit. She appeared so stressed out and snapped instantly. There was an older woman in the office who was very nice, calm, apologetic and trying to work out alternatives while that young lady was basically yelling over her shoulder with a nasty attitude. I understand sometimes things happen and I usually try to "go with the flow", but it was the most unprofessional, embarrassing and shocking thing I have experienced in my life. One of the reasons we chose this campground was because of the great reviews. Over the last few weeks, I've noticed other reviews are echoing the same experience we had. We didn't let her ruin our weekend, but it was a colossal disappointment the way we were treated. Stay somewhere else where they are happy to have you there.

We have been going to Harbour Village for a few years now. Started with a week stay 6 or 7 years ago ended up in an annual Labor Day weekend stay. The showers are clean and free. The sites, although we thought were too small at first, end up being just perfect. We have been on sites 99, 100, 104, 105, 108 and 109. All wooded, lots of shade. Again, very narrow and feel small at first. The double twisty slide is great. The first few years we went the hot tub was not working but this year it was. Very nice to have the Pennisula Winery nearby and of course all the other door county things to do. Awesome time. I also think we liked site 126 although we haven't stayed on that one before.

On paper, this should be a 5 star experience. However the campground is mismanaged.

For example, the pools were absolutely freezing and unusable for most campers because the staff admitted they had just filled the pools and hadn’t had time to heat up the water yet.

Also, the dumpsters are literally a half mile from the campsites and this year management decided not to do garbage pickups anymore. While it isn’t uncommon to dispose of your trash yourself, it IS uncommon not to have the dumpsters near the front desk when guests are expected to carry their trash halfway across the county. As a result, inconsiderate people were burning bags of trash in their fire pits and the fumes from burning plastics was unbearable. Don’t bother complaining, because the rude general manager will just say “it’s not MY fault”.

Could one have a great stay here with their family? Only if you are lucky.

I wouldn't suggest this camp ground. Just minding my business at my site and security stops over yellin telling me he's gonna harass me all day if I don't pay 40 dollars to register my golf cart here..for a couple of days.. was a real piece of work..if I had a seasonal or permanent site then fine sure I'll play along..but for a weekend trip. Must be hard up for every dollar..

This campground is average at best. It is in need of upkeep and maintenance, and desperate need of sufficient staff. Also beware of sticky pine sap that will coat your RV or camping gear. Pool kept opening late or closing early due to inadequate staff. Time to do what it takes to staff up. You had staff to collect our dues for staying. Staff at other camping in Wisconsin are friendly and grateful for having guests. You and your staff should work on that. Our group will likely find somewhere different next time. Too bad because the place could be better.

Stayed here with extended family for mother's day weekend. Nice place and amenities even without the pool being open. Our stay was enjoyable until their overly aggressive security guards harassed our group that rented numerous sites for the weekend. We obeyed all rules, but they had issues with us as they thought we didn't respect their jobs as we didn't wave every time they drove by in the golf cart. They stopped us several times while walking and they stated they wanted us to understand what their jobs detailed and that they were important. It's obvious they are insecure and needed to harass and threaten us with their behavior for the afternoon and night. They are unprofessional by showing attitude and aggression to guests that are there obeying the rules, all because they have big egos and want us to respect what they do, which we were. We said if they don't leave us alone we would go to management and the security answered back by saying they would find a way to make us leave. We had multiple neighbor sites that would vow for us if they tried to kick us out. They finally retreated but drove by flipping us off several times.

The booking online for a group of 6 camp sites was very complicated and we had billing mess ups. The 2 rented cabins were dirty when checked in. Lots of traffic at campsites with vehicles, golf carts and kids on bikes if you had young kids to worry about getting ran over.
The 2 bathroom buildings did not seem adequate for the # of people there. The lighting outside to get to the bathroom at night was non existent. Super dangerous for walking without a flashlight. The bathrooms were gross and the port a potties by the main office were disgusting. Everything just seem dated and needed updates and basic upkeep care. For the price you pay , I would have thought it would have been well taken care of. The fire pits are also super small.
The waterpark was pretty nice, the lite up wagon ride was cool. I did like the rented golf cart. The campground is HUGE, so be prepared to walk a lot or a golf cart is useful.

For our 6 set of campers, we will not come back next year due to other campgrounds might be as busy, but they have their business tightened up. I really hope Harbour Village can use some of the income they take in to improve the amenities as basic as bathrooms and hire more staff. I remembered this campground to be all that and to me, it lost its sparkle. I would not recommend.
Bummer.
