    Wonderful and comfortable stay
We booked a little late when there wasn't much availability and I am so glad we were able to find space here. It is a few miles off the highway but it is only a short drive to Sturgeon Bay and it's handy to get up to the rest of the peninsula. The rooms are big and look out onto the golf course-with a balcony or walk out porch! The bar can't be beat with nice prices and well made drinks. The best part is that it is quiet! We were on the bottom floor and I really didn't hear much noise above or to the sides at all. Yes, we have a dehumidifier in the room but that also helps dampen any noise there might be and keeps the room cool. The beds are all new and so comfortable and there are plenty of blankets and pillows . There is no pool but there is a discount to a local spa (book ahead of your trip!), discounted golf, and access to the driving range. The staff couldn't be friendlier too. If you are looking for a super upscale and fancy resort with a lot of frills, this is probably not your place. If you are looking for a relaxing and cozy place with great drinks, this is your place.

    Surprise 40th Anniversary
Our family planned a surprise 40th for us at Cherry Hills Golf and Lodge. There were 11 adults and two children under the age of two. We all stayed at the resort and it was like our own private compound. Everyone was so nice to us and the rooms were just perfect for families. The guys golfed and the women enjoyed shopping and all that the area has to offer. The location, at first, seems like it’s out-of-the-way but it’s truly only about 10 minutes from any shopping and restaurants and very close to a nice winery. We hope to go back again!

    Great place, nice course
Have stayed here numerous times in the past with my husband, this time here with girlfriends. We requested rooms next to each other and that was accommodated. It was so fun and easy to move from room to room on patios. All of my friends were impressed with this place. We golfed and had a wonderful time on a beautiful course. Best bang for your buck in Door County! I especially love the location and how easy you can get to sturgeon bay, egg harbor, etc.

My wife and I could not ask for a better introduction to Door County! Cherry Hills is fantastic. Our room was perfect - spotless, comfortable, and ready for us to relax. Great view of the golf course and a great discount during our stay. Jon was able to help us out with an extra day when he got a cancellation. The course is nicely manicured and the pro staff is very accommodating. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for things+sights to see+do and places to eat.

It's a clean and reasonable priced hotel for a two-night stay for us. We came to Door county for the fall foliage, and 99.9% of the hotels are sold out. I saw this hotel become available one day and booked it right away. The location is a bit remote. We arrived at night and there's no street lights, so it's a bit difficult to find. But the surrounding is naturally beautiful. The golf course is just outside out room. It could not be more convenient if you come here to play golf. The room is a bit outdated but very spacious and clean. Very good water pressure. The staff are super friendly. We had a dinner on the first night at the bar. The fish fry is decent. The breakfast is basic, coffee and bakery, fresh fruits. The hotel looks exactly like what ti is in the pictures on tripadvisor. Sturgeon bay is beautiful but there's no way to walk around. You need to drive all the time. If we had a choice, we would have chosen Fish Creek as a base to explore door county as it's in the middle of road and has the small town charm. A lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Very pleased we found this property. Spacious room, well fitted and spotlessly clean overlooking the 18th green. Only a short trip into SB. Breakfast was o k but ate one night in town and the second in the dining room. Food was fine but a little restrictive in choice. Just loved the tranquility but it was buzzing as we left on Saturday morning as the golfers arrived. Staff were excellent.

What a pleasant surprise and all around amazing place! We chose the lodge because it had a golf course but we weren’t expecting the amazing service, beautiful rooms and great fall views. Some bad weather hampered golf plans but the staff kept the bar open for us and gave some ‘spot on’ local recommendations. This is the kind of vacation you hope for. Thanks John and the great staff at Cherry Hills.

A great value property if; you dont have 1st floor room with noisy occupants above (stomping around til 1:00 AM, then 5:30 AM). Very thin floor/ceiling insulation. Room had dehumidifier running,so we shut off that noise. Room then got stale. Shower curtain was mildew smelly. Breakfast is minimal, stale rolls and yogurts, HB eggs. Management approach to complaint was dismissive and argumentative. No solution from desk clerk, very defensive and non-apologetic. Appearance of property maintenance shows major decline, need for fixing many deteriorating areas.

This is a lodge annexed to the local golf course. It's a few miles north of downtown, and relatively difficult to find. The rooms are wide, super quiet and well furnished, the breakfast ok. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Don't expect however the full amenities, such as 24 h service, of standard hotels, which at this location are considerably expensive in full season. .

We golfed at Cherry Hills, and really enjoyed the course. The front nine is pretty challenging with all the hills, but the back nine is somewhat easier. The course was in great condition. We also stayed at the lodge two nights. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. The entire staff was very accommodating. The only thing negative, was that the pillows need replacing. They were all very flat. I would bring my own next time. Our room had a balcony which overlooked a golf hole, and it had a table and chairs on it. It is definitely a very quiet place to stay! There is a basic continental breakfast that incudes: cereals, bagels, danish, croissants, yogurt, orange juice and coffee.
