Gross. Expensive. Mildew. Smells. Slow drain in the bathtub. There is a slab of concrete with a dirty plastic chair for your “patio.” Cobwebs. There was mold on the lampshades. It was one of those hotel rooms where you felt like you had to keep your shoes on. Nasty splatters on the blinds. I’m glad I at least brought my own pillow.

I came here a wedding. The owner told the bride that the guests' dogs were allowed at the hotel. When I called to book my room, I SPECIFICALLY said that I had a dog and the front desk worker said "ok". When I got to the hotel I got settled in and the next day I get a phone call from the front desk telling me that I was in a room that didn't allow dogs and they were charging me $250. Let me say that again for the people in the back....TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. As any middle class working human would, I went to the front desk and argued this and the entire time I was there, THE OWNER WOULDN'T EVEN COME OUT OF HIS OFFICE. The lady at the front desk even went to talk to him and he wouldn't come out. Other things to note: Cobwebs EVERYWHERE Extremely Outdated rooms "NOT-dog friendly" Rooms had a nauseating foot smell Mold around the AC units in some of the rooms Positive things: Bartenders were great people. Please use the $250 you robbed from me to fix your garbage hotel.

A disappointing stay—soft bed, dated decor, tattered towels, curtain hardware fell when closing curtains, musty smell. Breakfast offered a dish with potatoes/egg/sausage bits to microwave with plastic wrap, drinks, open dish of yogurt/granola, muffins, waffles and cereal (but no milk was available!). Front desk attendant was overseeing “breakfast” and openly complaining to guests. We enjoyed the walk across the street to the water and the front outside patio area was good. The Lodge needs to improve for the prices they are asking.

The hotel is located on the other side of the river, so you’d need to drive to the downtown. Besides the room was very nice and clean. They could invest a bit in better curtains as they don’t give you any darkening level if you would like to sleep bit longer. The suite we’re in was on the first floor so the second night we had an “elephant “ above us, stumping back and forth till 1 am. Lack of phone in the room made it impossible to communicate with the receptionist, so we just waited it out, but if you’re older couple who likes to sleep in curfew hours that might be not your best choice. The room service is very early between 8-9 am so make sure you’ll put do not disturb sign out😊

Too bad I can’t even write a review on this place. When I called to check for availability the receptionist was more than rude and not willing to answer my questions. Customer service should be considered, especially for those who haven’t even paid to stay.
