We have stayed here over the years. It has been owned by several different companies. It is old but has possiblities. Large pool area and big area for dogs to run in the parking lot. However, it need lots of updating. The pool is currently...More

This hotel offered very friendly staff who were also very helpful. There was a big pool that looked ok but we did not go in it. The entire building is in desperate need of updating. We had rusty accessories in our bathroom. The furniture was...More
Not a good stay overall, from the moment we walked in. When we went to check in, they pulled up our reservation and asked us to initial a "rate card" with the agreed-upon rates. When we looked at the card, on of the nights was...More
Overall, this hotel was not bad. I had to come up to Stevens Point a day early to beat a winter storm and snagged a great low price here. It was worth the price.
Room was somewhat updated (bathroom was a mix of old and...More

I do not foresee us adding a fitness room at this time. However, we do have plans to make a walking area through the wooded lot behind the hotel. It actually leads down to the Little Plover River which connects to Iverson Park. Many years ago they had a walking path that lead to the river and people used to come up from the river to get a drink at the lounge. It is our hope that we can bring something like that back as I think it would be a wonderful addition to the hotel.

We are currently working on the roof repairs and Restaurant/Meeting Space renovations, so in terms of interior guest room remodeling not much has been completed. We have replaced mattresses in one wing so far and should be changing the rest out over the course of the month as they arrive (4 truckloads!). Very soon we will be replacing TVs as well. Once winter really sets in we will then begin taking entire sections at a time and renovating them. I expect all work will be completed late Spring or by early Summer at the latest.
I appreciate you asking and I hope this information helps you to make your decision on where to stay. Of course, we would love to have you stay with us, but I also understand that without the remodel this place is not the ideal getaway for some individuals. If you do decide to book, please call and ask to speak with David, or at least mention that you would like our very best room and I will be sure to accommodate your request. Have a great day!
