The room was most comfortable, amenities appreciated and staff friendly and competent. We loved our stay and hope to return..if they have space. Plan ahead! In high season they are often without vacancy.

We recently stayed at the Usonian Inn (on the National and Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places). Because we were also visiting Taliesin (home of Frank Lloyd Wright), we thought it fitting to stay at the Inn which was designed by Mr. Wrights apprentice J C Caraway. Our room was charming, warm and inviting. We stayed in Room 5 which... More

This is not the place I usually stay in Spring Green, but I'm glad I tried it. The big selling point is its connection with Frank Lloyd Wright design. There are pluses and minuses to that, but on the whole the room was excellent. I especially liked the view from the back window.

We keep returning annually and we're not that easy to please. The Usonian ticks off all our boxes. The owner/manager is very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The rooms are clean and well appointed with FLW accents we appreciate. The wide screen TV has enough channels to please everyone. WiFi reaches most rooms. We just wish the entry... More

This little motel on the edge of Spring Green oozes with the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright -- or at least his student who designed it. The rooms are comfy but nothing special except for the quaintness and Frank Lloyd Wright feel. For $125 a night, it was pricer than it should be. The bathroom had a round toilet and... More

Stayed the night after theatre and the rooms were adequate although a little small - functional with some nice touches in terms of decor. Convenient location to highway. It is a revitalized motor court that is showing it's age in some ways (ceiling cracks), but overall nice enough. The price seems a little steep for what it is, although all... More

Nice historic site which looks a little rough on first arrival...some room updates have been done - primarily the bathroom...clean and spacious room...maybe a little expensive unless the FLW link is important to the visitor.

A well-maintained, unique property, in a convenient location. I'm glad I stayed there once; I don't think I would go back. I tried to engage the owner in a conversation, but it fairly quickly became apparent that she had no interest in talking any more than necessary. I will never understand why people get in the hospitality industry if they... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to write this review. You came a little negative on your description; you forgot to mention that I made special arrangements for you to a very late check in and check out. We chatted about 5 minutes about little things and then you got into more personal stories and history, etc... Indeed, I... More

I was in room 2, and the owner said all the rooms are alike but rooms 5 and 11 have more bathroom fixtures (big tubs, e.g.). If this place is ever up for sale we can just hope the new owner doesn't do more than refinish some woodwork or repave the parking lot.

We stayed at the Inn for two nights and it was the perfect location for exploring the area, touring Taliesin, and experiencing small town life. It's easy to find driving from Madison, too, which was a plus since we arrived after dark.
