Needed to spend a night in northern Wisconsin, so at the Green Acres in Spooner. Classic old-style drive-up-to door highway motel. Nice location (just south of town) convenient, quiet (after traffic dies down) and clean. Owners are delightful. Hotel is very good, but just starting to get a little rough on the edges. Needs a little more TLC to become charming and delightful.
Simply a great place to stay. Based a weekend of ATV riding from from here couldn’t have asked for more. Clean quiet and comfortable bed. Margaret and Dave were awesome and helped with trails maps and even had a bag of rags at our door to whipe down the wheeler. Great area to ride and could come and go from our door. We’ll be back! Mark and Kim.
We liked our stay, it was clean and quiet and the owners were very friendly. Affordable and nicely located to explore the surrounding area and local lakes! We had plenty of room to park the boat and went fishing in the Spooner Lake and had a nice time.
This hotel makes me feel like I've stepped back in time! Time to when cleanliness and friendliness were more important than making a buck. The couple that owns this place have kept things simple but quaint and, most importantly, clean! Room had king sized bed with newer tv also microwave and small fridge. Bathroom was small but the shower was surprisingly large! Lovely stay. If we are ever "up north" in WI again, we will stay here again. Note to owners: the sidewalk and curb need attention! Not a great first impression
We wanted a clean, quiet and comfortable room; that's exactly what we got. The bed was very comfortable for a good nights rest. Margaret and Dave made us feel right at home. We would stay with them again.
