Good points: friendly desk staff, good size room, comfortable king size bed, plenty of hot water for showers. Disappointments: dirty room carpet (white socks worn in room became dirty on the bottom), deck and deck furniture outside pool building needs power washing, none of it was clean
My husband and I stayed here recently for three nights and have stayed 3-4 times in the past. Things were just starting to open up again after being closed due to the virus. They have made some changes to ensure safety such as having prepackaged breakfast items, coffee in the rooms only, closed pool and hot tub (as of our 6/16-19 stay) and no congregating for breakfast in the checkin area. Otherwise, everything about our stay was wonderful as usual...cleanliness, comfy beds, WiFi, friendliness of staff and very reasonable prices. We will keep coming back here and highly recommend.
great wifi and the beds were really comfortable.the service was great and my family had a greattime.we got to see alot of the sites around sister bay and we even went fishing just to come back here and sleep on their beds witch by the way to us were very comfortable
We were so happy when we arrived here seeing the smiling faces of friendly staff! We were welcomed and greeted by Arne and Samantha carrying up laundry stopped and asked us if we needed help with our luggage. Nordic is a country scenic stay, the breakfast was filling, the rooms were clean and upgraded since the last time our family stayed. We had an issue with our t.v. and 11pm staff were still willing to help us with our problem. This group of family oriented and friendly staff couldn’t have been better! I would recommend the Nordic Lodge to anyone traveling to Door Co.
The lodge is clean, and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed our wooded patio for reading, and having hot Door County Coffee Company coffee in the lobby to grab as you're coming and going is a plus. You can even grill on the grounds or light the fire pit. The rooms, pool, breakfast, and amenities are quite basic, but if you upgrade to a hot breakfast bar or a nicer pool, then the rates go up, too. Only noticeable setback is the lack of outlets in the room - if you need to get work done, better identify a coffee shop or library to use ahead of time. Lastly, the lodge is situated nicely along the highway for very short drives - just a half-mile from Fred and Fuzzy's!
