Very unprofessional business owner. I called within an hour of getting a message that my card was declined for the reservation and not only was the room already gone, but he blamed the customer. As most good business owners know -- the customer is always right. This is not the first hotel I have ever reserved - but the first where a reservation was automatically canceled on me. I will be happily taking my business somewhere else. Best of luck but this person will be managing the property for long.

I had reservations for 2 nights. However, we had an emergency and needed to check out after one night. When I arrived and let the counter staff know, he was so incredibly rude. He kept interrupting me and saying you will be charged for 2 nights. The way he was over-talking me was so upsetting to my husband, a disabled veteran. Finally, I just said “I am checking out tomorrow regardless” because my husband was getting aggravated. Our room was dirty. There was trash on the floor (I have pictures). The internet did not work. But what was even more shocking was the fact that the continental breakfast that was supposed to go until 9 am ran out of food at 8 am. Literally. There was no milk, no food, nothing to eat. There was half a pitcher of orange juice and coffee. I went to the front desk and dialed the number to reach the counter staff. NO ONE WAS AT THE FRONT DESK and everything was wide open. We walked to the gas station next door to get breakfast. So, not only was I charged for 2 nights, I then had to buy my own breakfast, use my data on my cell phone and contend with a dirty hotel room. My son had to stay there for a week for his job. He had to move rooms after he was told that the room he originally was in did not have WiFi. The smoke detector and I assume carbon monoxide detector were literally gone from the wall (I have pictures). This, I am sure, is a violation of codes. They also OPENED UP PERSONAL MAIL that was delivered to my son. (Another violation).

Stayed for the Birkie, and while the hotel has all the basic amenities -spacious rooms, pool, hot tub, sauna, breakfast area, there seems to be some serious issues from an operational standpoint. Upon arrival, our room was ice cold and wasn’t stocked (requested towels, shampoo, extra blankets, pool towels). Breakfast the following morning was sparse-a couple mini muffins, day old bagels and oatmeal packets. There was syrup but no waffle batter and the waffle iron wasn’t even turned on-clearly they were trying to save money. Staff were responsive when asked, but it was difficult to find them (usually outside on a smoke break, on their computer or cell phone). Gave it a 2 star because the hotel layout/amenities are nice, but it’s management should get a 1.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament. The staff was great. The pool and entertainment areas were great for our large group. They opened up the bar for us to socialize and kept it going until after hours.
