You couldn't find a more cosy and welcoming place to stay in New Zealand. The hosts,Dan and Mitzi, have found the perfect balance of laid back and comfortable atmosphere, with luxury and personal service. We originally planned 3 nights, but quickly added another once we arrived. You'll be greeted a toasty warm house and fireplace every evening in the winter, the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring Queenstown. The fact that it's not right in town is another added bonus for those wanting a more relaxed and unique experience. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

This is an extraordinary bnb with special touches and amazing breakfast. Dan and Mitzi are very thoughtful and warm hosts. They packed us a wonderful breakfast for our trip to Milford sounds. The neighborhood is lovely for hiking biking and enjoying the beautiful countryside..

My husband and I can honestly say this is the best accommodation/bed and breakfast we have ever stayed out throughout our lifetime of travels. We would choose to stay here over any 5-star hotel and we will definitely come back and book here again when we are back in Queenstown. The accommodation is gorgeous with great attention to detail with the decor. Smells divine and clean. We were welcomed with the fire burning, homemade treats, and fruitful conversations and the daily breakfasts were a work of art! Thank you so much Dan and Mitzi. It was an unforgettable stay!

Okay, that title is just a bit of fun, but we stayed here for a piece of our honeymoon and really had the most wonderful stay. The rooms and the building have been beautifully restored, and you can tell each detail in the place has been carefully thought about. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, and we were blown away by the beautiful garden. We were also spoilt with the best breakfasts of our trip (homemade bread, local spreads, and hearty warm breakfasts – the works!). Mitzi and Dan were such wonderful hosts, and we so appreciated their friendliness and wonderful Queenstown recommendations. We couldn’t fault our experience in any way - it really was the perfect stay. Thanks for having us, Mitzi and Dan! We hope to be back one day 😊

From the blooming roses that greet you at the front door to the home made afternoon treats every day this place was perfection. What a lovingly restored old building and a charming couple who looked after our every need. Good local tips and amazing breakfasts. Wood fire on cold evenings and central heating at other times. And the place is full of history. Mitzi and Dan are the sort of hosts you can normally only dream of. We spent three nights here and on the one day I had to leave early Mitzi arranged a packed breakfast for me to have before I left. We were able to use the washing machine and dryer as well as store food in the fridge and we could have cooked in the well appointed kitchen if we had wanted to. There are great walks along the Shotover River starting 100 metres from the front door and Mitzi told us about a walking path through the fields to the local shops. A gem.

I think this is probably the best Bed and Breakfast in Queenstown! We absolutely loved our stay. The hosts Mitzi and Dan are very kind and friendly. The rooms are lovely and have some very nice touches. Beds have lovely crisp cotton sheets and are very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and beautifully cooked and presented. Would stay again without hesitation!

One of the pleasures in stayiong at a B&B is that you meet and talk with both the hosts and your fellow guests and so it is witrh Dan & Mitzi who are the consumate hosts at The Old Ferry Hotel B&B. From the warm, friendly and informative welcome to the convivial chats over the home cooked personal breakfast with both guests and our hosts through to the well appointed bedroom we couldn't fault the Old Ferry Hotel. We'd be rebooking whenever we visit Queenstown again.

B & B’s are best represented by the hosts who run the property. Dan and Mitzi have found their calling with this property. They are the kind of people you could easily sit down with for the evening and chat the night away. The property itself is spotless and the rooms are exactly as depicted on their website and booking sites. There were many extra touches that impressed us. We received excellent travel suggestions, daily baked treats were welcoming us on return to the house, chocolates on our refreshed room, lush bath robes. The list could go on and on. Breakfast is served in the main dining room and was as much a part of our daily enjoyment as our travels. Individually prepared cooked breakfast was supplemented with additional, yogurt, cereal, toast, jams, coffee and juice. We had an early morning flight so Mitzi prepared us a takeaway meal for the airport Communication was prompt and the English gardens were in full bloom.. There is nothing I would change, EVERYTHING was perfect. Thank you for being such great hosts and nice people.
