Great location. Across the street from Road America. Many fun cities close by. Beautiful lakes close by also. Great ice cream and chocolates in Elkhart Lake just 5 miles from camp. Campground has 3 nice pools. Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. We will be back.
Lots of activities, quiet and peaceful during the week. Weekends are busier and louder, which is to be expected. The pool should have staff oversight during the weekends to enforce the rules, and evict swimmers who are constantly using foul language (quite loudly), people who think it's just fine to let their toddlers swim in the hot tub and also think it's a great place to host a buffet - eating in the hot tub is disgusting for other patrons.
Just saying that I agree with the most recent seasonal campers! I am also one! I would love for my family to visit and camp by me but for $100 a night for a weekend is not possible! Lower the prices!!
overall great staff excellent facility and amenities with several camping area to choose from this was a great find! I would be willing to recommend this Camping resort to any of our friends and family
My family has been at the park for several years as a seasonal. It has unfortunately gone down hill over the years. The campground has become very expensive with nothing to show for it. There are very few amenities and the staff is not friendly or helpful! The new manager is rarely seen and doesn’t respond to any concerns! There are issues with staff coming to activities on time and helping as well as a playground safety issue. After several days and reminders, we were told thqt what we expressed is not accurate! We have photos of staff doing the things we were concerned with as evidence. In regards to play ground safety - my husband and I are engineers and can tell the playground is not structurally sound. We can’t recommend this place to anyone anymore!
The amenities and activities have gotten progressively worse since Covid started in 2020. We can understand the decrease in services in 2020 and 2021 because of the restriction with the pandemic. But we expected much better for 2022. The excuse is a lack of workers however the rent increases every year. Maybe the management might treat the consumer better when the the country goes into a recession.
We have been camping at Plymouth Rock Campground for the past 12 years. In the beginning it was amazing, fun activities, clean, great customer service. The last few years the campground has went down the drain. Poor staff service - I know it is hard to find workers, but the store is never open and the campground activities are very poorly run. The activities in the park have gone downhill compared to past years and my children don’t even want to participate. Each week, the activities are very similar crafts using the same construction paper, ribbons, glue, glitter etc. During Memorial day, they had an adult activity to paint mason jars and they had paint that wasn’t meant for glass so they didn’t turn out. The park can’t even provide the right supplies for the activities that they planned? Also, I’ve noticed that the staff has been late to multiple events. For example during 4th of July week, kids were waiting to play kick ball and the director was more than 15 minutes late. Last week at Bingo, the ladies running the event didn’t show up until 10 minutes after it was supposed to start, it took another 15 minutes or so to get everyone their cards, this is 25 minutes late to when Bingo should have started. I understand there is a staffing shortage due to COVID. During crafts and activities the staff is sitting down, not giving direction and at times eating their lunch. I could provide multiple examples, but I think the point has been made. The park used to have amazing activities! They would have carinvals and bring in petting zoo's. They would rent big blow up slides and food truck vendors. There's nothing like this anymore. It hurts me to have to write this review as my family and I have been camping here for 12 years, but we will not longer be giving them our business as we aren't sure what we get for our money anymore.…
This was an amazing place to stay and very clean. The pools and campsite where very well kept up and clean. The staff was friendly and was willing to answering questions. Ice and firewood scan be delivered to you campsite which is amazing also
Overall good experience. Poor staff service over holiday weekend. Unable to contact staff to reopen activities post rain. Tried several numbers. Clean for the most part. Good activities loved DJ Paul and Jessie and the Rippers band.
Best place to go with kids. Been to various campgrounds but this one is the best. Lots of activities and things to do. Pools are great and clean. Whirlpool was amazing. Nice place to ride bicycles around. That was the second time we came there.
