Detailed Reviews
After camping in state parks our entire camping career (long long time) and having our last two reservations cancelled due to COVID 19 we took a risk on a private campground (for the first time ever) because we needed the get away.
We (husband & I) were both pleasantly surprised at the amazing experience we had. The campground is well cared for, the staff is amazing and friendly. For families during none COVID 19 there are tons of things to do. Because it was mothers day weekend they treated all of the ladies very nicely with a donut and beverage. The home made Sunday morning donuts were an unexpected treat!
A special thank you to staff member Brittany for answering all of my many phone calls and questions and for picking an area of the campground that was PERFECT for us. We will go back.

We stayed at end of June after hearing so many great things from several people we knew. We enjoyed so much we booked again next year. Facilities were very clean, pools were managed well to avoid over crowding and swim pond was also nice to cool off in. Campground was very quiet after 10pm until after 8am. Good food at onsite grill in the store-all fresh made sandwiches.

This is a very family friendly campground. Indoor and outdoor pools plus a great swimming pond. We stayed over a weekend and a couple of days into the week. The weekend was fully packed and there were many activities to do. Once the weekend was past the campground really quieted down and the experience was much more tranquil. The bathhouses were very clean! The only downside is that there should be more sites with sewer, as they are currently very limited.

Cons:
*If you book a site in the middle you will be on top of other campers. There are maybe 10 spots in the back that seem like they are more private, but they are farther away from activities. The whole thing just seems to be set up to try and get the most campers into the spaces.
*The pool was just ok, with no slides or anything but a concrete hole. The kids pool is pretty small but at least had a small slide and a few water features.
*The pond with the inflatables is crawling with something that bites, could be little snapping turtles, or maybe some type of fish. But three people in our group got bitten, stopping the kids from wanting to go swimming. And it was common knowledge, other people were talking about how they had the same experience and one person we spoke to that has a permanent site there said they won't go into the area at all
*There is no riding your bikes at night, even with proper lights. We have never camped where that is a rule. As a family we enjoy riding at night and having to tell the kids they couldn't do it was disappointing. Plus it was the Christmas in July weekend, but you couldn't even ride around to see everyone's outdoor decorations.
*Also there is no motorized bikes as well, I'm not talking about motorcycles, I mean the bicycles that have a small battery to assist going up hills, so just a heads-up there (we don't have those, but our neighbor did, she was retirement age, and this is one of the few ways she can enjoy biking and was disappointment she couldn't ride around).
*No remote-control cars at the sites, electric cars (even our 5 year old's little toy car) are not allowed at the site, but you can do it at the DMX track, and all gas power remote control cars not allowed at all.
*Many people cleared out, maybe because of the storms, or maybe because they were constantly being told what to do, leaving us with a little bit more room so we started to play golf, with wiffle balls, just putting a bucket a few yards away and trying to hit into the bucket. Got told we could not play golf as it would ruin the grass, which is a joke. There is no grass, just weeds growing out of sand. I'm pretty sure the campers, camp mats, tents and cars will do more damage to the grass than we would. On top of it, the man who came by to ask us to stop could have approached us much better without the attitude. When he said he was worried about the grass I almost laughed out loud based on the condition of the "grass."
*The indoor pool is freezing cold with way too much chlorine. Every single one of us came out with blood shot eyes, even if we didn't swim because the chemicals were so strong, not only in the water but also the air.
Pros:
*Bathrooms are clean and nice
*The sites in the back seemed nicer with more space
*The gift shop was nice and the staff there was friendly
*They did a great job of cleaning up the garbage bags at the sites.
*The Christmas in July was a nice touch and there was nice gifts and fun things for the kids.
There are way too many great camp sites in Wisconsin, both private and state run. We have been camping for years and because of this, while our time there wasn't horrible, we will not be back.

We stayed September 10-13, 2021. This is a family oriented campground. Indoor and outdoor pools, a swimming pond with inflatables. Mini Golf, hiking trails, BMX bike trail, canoe, kayak rentals. The staff is very friendly. Everything is clean and well taken care of. Highly recommended

I had an excellent experience with the company (October 6, 2023). Actually the driver named Tiffany who connected me from Ann Arbor to Detroit, actually saved me the transfer in Detroit to Toronto. It was not her job to take the passengers supposed to travel with another bus, but she called the office to find out that my bus was delayed, so she arranged everything for me to catch my bus to Toronto. If Tiffany hadn't been so kind, I would have missed my bus to Toronto. Thank you, Tiffany!!!
The only problem is that people at Blake Transit Center information service in Ann Arbor can't explain where the buses have their stops. And this is their job!

We have camped here for several years multiple weekends and recommend this camp ground to everyone. It is very kid friendly. It is not a party campground but quieter and laid back. They have theme weekends and tons of activities and amenities. The staff has been nothing but pleasant and accommodating. It is very well kept. It is one of our favorite.

I can't say enough about the bathrooms and showers..clean and top of the line. Clean pool, nice quiet family camping. Fishing pond where you actually catch fish, which is great for kids. Staff was very friendly. Only caution is to pick your site very carefully. The inside area is packed, absolutely no privacy..and I mean, none. Try to get on the outside area right next to the big lake.

Our family has been going here for 11+ years. It's our favorite place. Shame on you 4 saying swimming pond is Black Water & Staff is rude, its SIMPLY NOT TRUE, crazy to say it & even more to think it.

Campground has many amenities and it is surrounded by beautiful land. Unfortunately, the owner Matt is a first class jerk. He wants everyone to worship him because he owns the place. Not at all welcoming or appreciative of his guests.

Yes. There is a park area for dogs to play. We are here this week and I've seen lots of dogs walking with owners. They are all quiet. I don't think they allow dogs to be loud. You do put down a deposit which is refundable when you leave as long as you clean up and follow the rules. We brought our dog a few years ago but it was so hot he was miserable in our tent....plus we kayak....so we leave him home now.
