Barend is a great family holiday spot. We have been going there for 11 Years and seen it get better each year. Positioned 10 min walk from the picturesque beach at Sandyhills which when the tide is out you think you could walk across to the Lake District. Villa 16 has a great position at Barend, lovely views etc and...

Excellent time and lovely well maintenaned chalet. Lots of stuff to do nearby especially the beach. Short trips into Dalbeattie and along the coast for some stunning views. Plus I managed to sneak off to golf!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Barend. The chalets are in a picture-perfect location, just a five minute walk from a lovely beach - although I would say that your own transport is essential to enjoy everything that the area has to offer. The decor in the chalet was a little tired but that was really our...

Thank you so much for your review weejoey! We are so glad you enjoyed your break with us and got to explore the area! Just to confirm that although chalet 31 has enough beds for 5 people, we only let this out as a 4-berth, so as to not overcrowd the living space. We look forward to welcoming you back...

A large family group split over three chalets in a beautiful area of South Scotland. Lodges were great value and the site bar and restaurant were comfortable and relaxed. Only downfall was that as each chalet slept 6/8 we felt that the living room areas were not quite as spacious as needed for that amount of people. And in one...

Here though we had plenty of space, comfortable furniture, a 50" TV and all the mod cons including dishwasher. I would happily move in. It was particularly pleasant watching the birds feeding through the large windows. Beach a walkable distance, handy bar/restaurant...
