The Chalet sleeps 6 and is dog friendly. It is very well equipped. There is an upper level where there is a King size bed with toilet and sink in an adjacent room. There are also 2 single beds on the upper level too. A stair gate was present for toddle safety. A small sofa tv and dvd player and...

This is the third time we have stayed here in a row and also in the same lodge which is actually owned by a couple called Andy & Jennifer who also own and run Monkhouse Hill Cottages (and we’ve stayed there many a time as well!). In terms of the lodge, everything was fine and as we have come to...

We had a fantastic time at Barend for New Year. The pub is fantastic and the dog loved the cosy fire. The cabin was lovely and warm and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Cava waiting for us (lovely touch). The area caters well for dogs and children and we enjoyed lovely walks along the Solway Coast. Cabin...

From start to finish this place is fantastic. We spent last Christmas here and then booked up straight away for Christmas 2016. The chalets are warm, clean comfortable and the staff are very efficient. The on-site bar has great food and the facilities (pool, sauna, laundry) are all great. Fully fully recommend!

Stayed here for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year. Fabulous, cozy, 2 storey cabin with balcony views across the small loch to the hills beyond. We saw red squirrels and lots of different birds from the cabin - no need for telly, just look out of the window! We made plenty of use of the indoor pool and onsite...

We stayed in Chalet 48 for Christmas and it was superb. What a surprise to find a Christmas Tree, decorations, crackers, prosecco and selection boxes for the children. What a lovely thoughtful touch, we have never had that before. The lodge was cosy, relaxing and very clean. Would definitely go back. The bar and restaurant were superb and a lovely...

Just stayed at Barend holiday village near Sandyhills for a 3 night stay in lodge number 7. The park is absolutely lovely, well maintained with beautiful countryside surrounding it.
