Had a wonderful stay. The rooms were nicely decorated and so peaceful. It was so nice to be pampered at breakfast with such great food and service. The innkeepers were so kind and attentive. The Inn is well kept and clean.

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Inn at Pine Terrace and we could not have had a better experience. The room was charming, clean and comfortable. The amenities, from the pool, the sunporch or the front parlor were inviting and welcoming and we enjoyed the breakfast. Our host was knowledgeable and informative and he takes obvious, and well deserved, pride in his Inn. This is the place to stay between Milwaukee and Madison, WI.

I am from Spain but have lived in the Chicago for 10 years where I work as a psychiatrist. This year my parents came visit and we decided to take a tour to Wisconsin for a few days. I was looking for Victorian mansions to stay as you don't get those regularly in Spain. I planned to end our trip prior to come back to Chicago in Oconomowoc. The city is well known in the psychiatry field as they have the prestigious hospital Rogers Behavioral, a national reference for the treatment of childhood anxiety. I had learned about the beauties of Oconomowoc from some of my colleagues, therefore we decided to go visit the city. Through my online research I found INN AT PINE TERRACE. The pictures in the web made it look like an amazing place to stay. I immediately called and had the pleasure to talk to Jeff, the housekeeper, who was very kind and pleasant. I explained that I was going to my parents and he offered me an extra room for a very good price. Therefore I booked the King's suite for my parents and the room next to it for me. As we arrived to Oconomowoc, Jeff attended us very kindly. Oconomowoc is a very beautiful city with many lakes and I would recommend anyone visiting nationally or internationally to visit it. Its people are very hospitable. At the INN AT PINE TERRACE, Jeff gave us a tour of the house, which was build in 1880 in Victorian Style. The furniture and decoration are congruent with the Victorian era as well and the frames and chimneys are from the original structure. At the entrance there is a taylor who is a friend of the family and sells different Victorian clothes. Then there is a beautiful living room with a fireplace and a library where you can go, chat, have some coffee... Breakfast is at the basement in nice living room as well. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. My parents were overwhelmed with the beauty of the place. They said they had never been in a place like that and was their favorite hotel in the US so far. More importantly, they enjoyed meeting Jeff. In addition to a great chef, he is a kind, good hearted person with a great human quality. He has a great conversation as well. We talked about history, culture, United States, Spain, life... Before we left he gave us two mugs of the hotel that we will keep as a transitional object to remember our memorable stay. Our stay at INN AT PINE TERRACE great memories for us. My parents and I are very thankful for it. We look forward to come back. I will definitely will recommend INN AT PINE TERRACE to my friends and colleagues.

My husband picked this B&B for our anniversary. It was only about a two-hour drive from Chicago, perfect for a weekend getaway . The house has so much character and charm. John, the owner, was very accommodating and even prepared a delicious vegan breakfast for me. The location is very close to the quaint downtown area, which has plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops to choose from. We hope to come back again soon!

We wanted to spend a night and get to know the town of Oconomowoc as our grandson goes to school there. Contacted the Inn at Pine Terrace and asked if they had availability and if we could have early check in as we were travelling from out of state. The owner contacted me back via email and was very accommodating. The property is beautiful. It is in a neighborhood setting and for a moment you feel as if you actually live in a mansion. Check in was effortless and the owner guided us to a couple of places in town for ice cream and a good burger. It was an easy walk to town. The swimming pool was warm and clean and the pool deck was in the sun and very comfortable. Every room in this house has its own charm and character. Bookshelves are stocked and common rooms are open and comfy. I loved this place with the exception of one thing....the breakfast. They serve a spinach fritatta that you'll see referenced in other reviews and I wouldn't eat it again. It was tepid when served and rather rubbery. I'd rather see a generous continental breakfast with fresh fruits, cheeses, pastries, croissants etc. It was a small matter. I would return in a minute and just skip the breakfast.
