Great place and very accommodating and pleasant staff. Love the vintage feeling and the old music that played throughout the day. The neighborhood is awesome and we walked everyday to Lake Michigan. Quaint restaurants nearby.

The Plaza had many charms. But if you want a quiet night's sleep, probably go elsewhere. The tall ceilings, while very retro, made the hallways like an echo chamber. You could hear guests coming and going more than in the average modern hotel. The old doors in their old frames made a huge bang when you closed them tight. Very... More

The hotel is quaint and has some charm, but our room and bathroom looked like they hadn't been updated in over 20 years. The ancient shower head fell apart while I was trying to shower and I had to reassemble it. The A/C was a loud window unit. The room really could use some updating.

Loved this place and would definitely recommend it to everyone. Great atmosphere and ambience. Like going back to an earlier era and just enjoyed it all around. Would definitely stay again- it was like a small apartment and it was so convenient with being so close to the downtown.

Affordable rates at a place that has it's own unique look and feel unlike a lot of other chain type hotels. Being more downtown Milwaukee, I appreciated the fact that there was parking nearby for only a little extra each night.

If you're into the independent hotel scene with a twist of Deco, The Plaza Hotel scores ten out of ten at every level. From the classic wooden doors to the hallway lights, the infamous breakfast diner to the dining room alcoves, to individual room bathroom tile, this hotel promises style blessed from the past with courteous service in the present.... We chose not to stay the night. The hotel was older than expected. The air conditioner was in the window the bed was next to. We didn't feel we would get a good nights sleep. The decision not to stay was an easy one to make. We had plans for the next day and felt a good nights sleep was... More

We have stayed at several hotels in Milwaukee and wanted to try the Plaza because of the cafe. And the cafe was fine but the rest of our stay was not exceptional. Also, the room had a window air conditioning unit. Given the price and quality, we will not choose this hotel again.

This is the second time we stayed at the Plaza. The first time we booked messages with Jeanne and it was by far the best message my husband and I have ever had. So this year to kick off our "staycation" we decided to book another message and spend a couple of nights at the Plaza. We had an great... More

My friends and I attended the Mexican Festival in Milwaukee and selected this Hotel. Room can be pricey but if you watch Trip Advisor some great deals pop up, we paid $171 for a King size room. The building is very quaint...clean and has a lot of interesting features , nooks and crannies. We loved the kitchenette feature, and the... More
