Walk the halls and spend the night within the original Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery! The Brewhouse Inn & Suites is a 90-room boutique hotel housed in what was once the main Pabst brewery building. The hotel showcases the building’s original features including the 6 massive iconic copper brewing kettles and a stained-glass window featuring King Gambrinus, often called the patron saint of beer. From studios to two-bedroom suites, accommodations are generously spacious with soaring ceilings, large steel beams, exposed Milwaukee Cream City brick walls and enormous windows. Each suite offers a full kitchenette and playful details to the building’s past such as re-purposed kitchen tables from the original building’s floor support beams, beer-bubble French doors and Pabst Blue Ribbon ice buckets. Additional amenities provided to all guests include complimentary to-go breakfast bags and complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access. The hotel also has an outdoor terrace, exercise room, business center, and gift shop. Nestled within The Brewery District of Milwaukee, our prime location offers both a quiet retreat for travelers and quick access to the vibrant offerings of downtown, the East side, Brady Street, Bay View and Riverwest. I stayed here the night before and the night of my wedding. Amy Larson made organizing my wedding block and my room arrangements so easy and answered all questions and support though Covid and the change to Summerfest over my dates. Staff was super accommodating and welcoming to myself and my guests. I can not wait to book our anniversary stay next year with them!

We toured the Brewhouse last year in preparation for our daughter’s wedding hosted at Best Place. We booked a Baron Suite for the weekend and it was not cheap. However, the housekeeping services lacked. One of the beds had so much hair on it we questioned if it was clean. There was broken glass on the side of the fridge and in the fridge. Their were crumbs in the fridge and on tables. It was also clear they ran the vacuum only over the main travel areas and not the edges of areas. The sleeper sofa supports were broken as well. Two chairs were so fragile and one the seat was completely caved in. The maintenance was sorely lacking. The suite contained 3 towels and not one extra roll of toilet paper. What was completely disappointing is that I specifically asked the front desk to just have housekeeping clean the glass and the housekeeper recleaned the bathroom and that’s about it. I asked to speak with the manager and received a voicemail as we were at the wedding. They apologized and comped $69 of parking. It’s clear the hotel may be struggling to keep up appearances. However, when you pay $1000 + for the weekend you expect it to be taken care of a bit better than it was. Pretty disappointed.

Anytime I travel I try booking boutique type hotels. This one did not disappoint. The rooms are very cozy and roomy with kitchen and a couch. We were only in town for a few nights. I only wish we had more time to really explore the area and the hotel as it was once the Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back!!
