Stayed here this past weekend for 1 night. Checked in with Gregg such an awesome and friendly guy! He started our day right! We did not expect our standard kind would be super large! We were pleasantly surprised. The following day we had breakfast and it was seriously the best breakfast we ever had! Our next trip to Milwaukee we'll be back!
We had a very large standard king room. The roomiest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in that wasn’t a suite. Very nice modern bar and restaurant. Excellent location, a short walk to 3rd Ward or Fiserv Forum and other downtown attractions.
Stayed on a Friday night in a King room. We had several issues that we didn't have time to address with management due to our short stay. The lock on the door stuck, so every time it took 4-5 tries with the key to get it open. The key worked fine, the problem was the doorknob. The room is giant and echoes. There is no bluetooth speaker or anything except the thermostat fan or TV to cover up the noise from the street or the blasting music from somewhere below. The chairs and couch were very stiff and uncomfortable, and the bed was hard as a rock. The shower came out as a trickle. The towels were pleasantly soft but there were only 2. The fridge was broken, so we had to get ice in the tiny bucket to cool our drinks. There was no free continental breakfast, it was an extra charge in their restaurant. For two fifty a night at a supposedly 4 star property, we were highly disappointed. We will not stay again.…
I was in Milwaukee for business and to visit family, and it was my first stay at Hotel Metro, Marriott Bonvoy Autograph Collection. It is an Art Deco gem and well-cared for. The staff was consistently helpful and friendly. Kudos to Greg. I am a believer that the first staff person encountered sets the tone and cements the impression. Greg was that person. He is an example of excellence in service in the hospitality industry and is one of those rare people who appreciate the importance of customer service. He gets it. Oggie's is an excellent choice for dining, and the food is delicious, and the service excellent. Mandie, the Server, exuded warmth, friendliness, and helpfulness. The Chef, Aaron, made time to talk with us about the preparation of the Oggie's Potatoes when he learned of our interest. The potatoes were unusually flavorful. My husband and I look forward to our return visit for the Holidays!…
Our stay in one of Hotel Metro's Executive Suites was very good. The hotel is right downtown and a quick drive to the Brewer's stadium, which was why we traveled to Milwaukee. The room was extra large and no complaints about comfort of bed and chairs/couch. The décor was modern. The bedroom was rather dark and difficult to get ready in even with all the lights on and the living area curtains open. The restaurant/bar was not open the night of our stay (Sunday) so we did not get to experience this. All personnel we encountered were friendly and accommodating. It was nice to have the option to valet the car and we found this service to be quick. We would stay again!
This hotel is dressed like a four star with the service of a three star. I've had better service at a Hampton Inn. Our room was never serviced even though we left our room for an entire day. The young man that checked us in the first night was very friendly and accomodating. The next night, my husband had to call out to the man at the front desk to be acknowledged. We were requesting towels since our room wasn't serviced and they only provide two bath towels in the room. We had breakfast one morning in the restaurant and that was pleasant. We ordered room service breakfast the following day. It was delivered in a paper bag with no utensils, napkins, or condiments. The hotel description reads that robes are one of the room amenities. They are but you have to go down and ask for them in person. Also, there is no hotel literature in the rooms either. If the hotel rates were more appropriate for the service it wouldn't have been so bad. However, we paid $300-500+ per night of our stay and that was agregious for this class of service. As another reviewer stated, stay at the Pfister next door.…
We were upgraded to one of the presidential suits. Nice room but not amazing. Would have been $700 ish a night I think but we used points and got the free upgrade as I am Titanium Elite with their program. Not worth $400-700 it normally runs in our opinion. Stay next door at the Pfister. Pillows sucked, fabric did not breathe, so you feel hot laying on them and they are not fluffy once you lay on them. Felt hard and flat. Not enough support. We had room service the 2nd night and we both were sick after. (Burger) My wife threw it up 2 hours later and I had stomach issues the next morning. When I mentioned it to the front desk they apologized but that was it No water in room on check in and we only found out about free water the 2nd day after we bought water at subway across the street For a 4 star hotel these things matter. Good location friendly staff but we travel a lot and recently relocated from Dubai. We expected more from the Autograph collection hotel.…
This was a perfect location for us while on our tour of MLB stadiums. Riverwalk close by as well as the Farmers Market and Lake Michigan. Perfect stay for us. We were in Milwaukee when the night the Bucks won the championship. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and our room was great.
Was very happy with recent stay at Metro Autograph. Was in town for NBA Finals Game 6 (Go Bucks). Even though hotel was sold out, very friendly staff. Room very large and clean. Good breakfast. Convenient location.
To park in the adjacent garage You pay $47.00 a day. We chose to park on the street around the corner, only visible parking, and the car was towed in the 20 mins it took for us to walk to the room, change clothes, and come back out. TOWED, first night at Hotel Metro. So $200. Tow bill, then the $47.00 a day we had to pay the rest of the week we stayed, Is completely unacceptable. It's ridiculous, to pay the prices of this hotel, and they don't provide parking for there guests ??? HOW ABOUT WORKING IT OUT WITH THE PHISTER HOTEL, SO THAT YOUR GUESTS CAN GET PARKING VALIDATION IN THEIR GARAGE ? There's a thought.. At the prices you pay for a week in this hotel, this parking over site is, expected in a 2 star hotel. Certainly not in a 4 star. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WITH A VEHICLE TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL. FOR A COUPLE DOLLARS MORE, YOU GET ALL THE LUXURY, EXPECTED FOR THE PRICE. JUST BY WALKING NEXT DOOR...... GET BETTER METRO...!…
