This hotel is dressed like a four star with the service of a three star. I've had better service at a Hampton Inn. Our room was never serviced even though we left our room for an entire day. The young man that checked us in the first night was very friendly and accomodating. The next night, my husband had to call out to the man at the front desk to be acknowledged. We were requesting towels since our room wasn't serviced and they only provide two bath towels in the room. We had breakfast one morning in the restaurant and that was pleasant. We ordered room service breakfast the following day. It was delivered in a paper bag with no utensils, napkins, or condiments. The hotel description reads that robes are one of the room amenities. They are but you have to go down and ask for them in person. Also, there is no hotel literature in the rooms either. If the hotel rates were more appropriate for the service it wouldn't have been so bad. However, we paid $300-500+ per night of our stay and that was agregious for this class of service. As another reviewer stated, stay at the Pfister next door.

We stayed here while visiting Milwaukee for one night. The entire experience was great from beginning to end.

We had requested a Suite Night Award upgrade using my Marriott account a few days before the stay, and they promptly upgraded us to a Spa King room with a fireplace. Room was spacious, cozy, and clean.

Check-in process was seamless – the receptionist was super friendly acknowledged my Bonvoy status, and he proceeded to give a wonderfully efficient walkthrough of the hotel amenities.

Then, I had totally forgotten to request a late check-out and had to message the front desk at 2:30am, not expecting anyone to reply until the next morning. The front desk responded right away and extended a 4pm late checkout as a courtesy.
The next morning, we called down and asked for a couple toiletries, which were delivered in less than 5 minutes.

Location of the hotel is pretty decent. It doesn't seem like a bustling, super popular area, but it also isn't dead. There are a couple restaurants near by, and Third Ward is a 5-minute scooter ride (or a 10 minute walk) away. We parked at the BMO Tower, only because we found an overnight spot on ParkWhiz for like $6, but there is a good amount of street parking around the hotel.

I redeemed my Marriott Bonvoy points to book the room so I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, but now that I see the prices online, this property does seem a little expensive considering its size (five floors) and its "boutique" level of luxury.

Four night stay is part of a get away from the Texas heat, have some fun, and get some work done trip. Upgraded due to participation in the awards program to the presidential suite. As expected, great room, with a wonderful desk, cozy enough couch, lots of room, really comfortable mattress, great shower, which was large, and had lots of hot water good water pressure.

Hotel location is near lots of restaurants, and this is a very walkable city, so pretty much everything is within a 10 minute walk, or less.

Really good attached restaurant, where I ate breakfast each morning.

Although I enjoyed my room, the best thing about this hotel, and the reason I will return, is the wonderful front desk staff, including Greg/Gregg (see photo), Donna, and Johnny. Each one of these nice people made me feel welcome, were genuinely friendly, were easy to talk to, and very good at their job. I look forward to seeing each of them when I passed through the lobby, and I was always asked whether I was enjoying my day or if they could help me with anything. Thanks!

I booked this room specifically because they advertised all king suites as having a bath tub. This is a large part of why I chose this hotel, my girlfriend loves baths and I wanted someplace with a really nice one. The room had no tub. The concierge said it was due to the renovations they were all being removed despite the site advertising otherwise. The rest of the room was ok but a little run down and lacked some modern amenities. Over all I could have stayed at motel 6 for a similar experience. Make sure if you are staying here call before you make a reservation to be sure that the website is actually accurate.

Stayed on a Friday night in a King room. We had several issues that we didn't have time to address with management due to our short stay. The lock on the door stuck, so every time it took 4-5 tries with the key to get it open. The key worked fine, the problem was the doorknob. The room is giant and echoes. There is no bluetooth speaker or anything except the thermostat fan or TV to cover up the noise from the street or the blasting music from somewhere below. The chairs and couch were very stiff and uncomfortable, and the bed was hard as a rock. The shower came out as a trickle. The towels were pleasantly soft but there were only 2. The fridge was broken, so we had to get ice in the tiny bucket to cool our drinks. There was no free continental breakfast, it was an extra charge in their restaurant. For two fifty a night at a supposedly 4 star property, we were highly disappointed. We will not stay again.

The problem is they are renovating and didn’t tell us until we checked in. I couldn’t get the amenities I paid for: fireplace didn’t work, thermostat didn’t work, no bath robes, no jetted tub, no rose petals or champagne (I went to pickup my own made the best of it) no restaurant inside, no continental breakfast and mini bar not stocked. All of these things were advertised 😡 I wanted this to be a relaxing Father’s Day getaway so I tried to stay calm. The front desk ladies were very kind and apologetic. They did give me 20% off my room and validated my overnight parking at the Pfister. The hotel is very pretty. The rooms should be discounted if they are staying operational during renovation. This should be communicated to guests so expectations can be adjusted.

Our stay in one of Hotel Metro's Executive Suites was very good. The hotel is right downtown and a quick drive to the Brewer's stadium, which was why we traveled to Milwaukee. The room was extra large and no complaints about comfort of bed and chairs/couch. The décor was modern. The bedroom was rather dark and difficult to get ready in even with all the lights on and the living area curtains open. The restaurant/bar was not open the night of our stay (Sunday) so we did not get to experience this. All personnel we encountered were friendly and accommodating. It was nice to have the option to valet the car and we found this service to be quick. We would stay again!

We were upgraded to one of the presidential suits. Nice room but not amazing. Would have been $700 ish a night I think but we used points and got the free upgrade as I am Titanium Elite with their program. Not worth $400-700 it normally runs in our opinion. Stay next door at the Pfister.

Pillows sucked, fabric did not breathe, so you feel hot laying on them and they are not fluffy once you lay on them. Felt hard and flat. Not enough support.

We had room service the 2nd night and we both were sick after. (Burger) My wife threw it up 2 hours later and I had stomach issues the next morning. When I mentioned it to the front desk they apologized but that was it

No water in room on check in and we only found out about free water the 2nd day after we bought water at subway across the street For a 4 star hotel these things matter.

Good location friendly staff but we travel a lot and recently relocated from Dubai. We expected more from the Autograph collection hotel.

Hotel is beautiful with many updates. Upon arrival we wished to use Valet parking; but waited at curb for more than 5 minutes for Valet. Arrived at check in desk to find it too was unattended. Waited... when attendant arrived check in was friendly, although no info about hotel, bar, check out etc. shared.
Stayed in city view suite; stay above 4th floor if you want a dark room- our room was right at street light level and no curtains to close off window=bright room all night 😕
Room appointments are tasteful and new. Hotel was quiet and clean. Although please upgrade the T.P.- its pitiful.

We stayed right after the hotel became part of the Marriott brand. What a transformation. The hotel is now chic and retro. Beautifully remodeled. The windows have been improved to reduce street noise and you can now block out the sun with adequate shades.

Missing some sorely needed amenities like in-room coffee and a minibar, especially since the restaurant was opened only limited hours. The restaurant closed "indefinitely" the Monday after our visit.
