We will not be staying at this Hampton Inn ever again. No blue “cleaned” tag on the door, when I called about it they said they are running low...every other door had one. No soap in the room and we had to go to the lobby to get it. The mirror was dirty and there was no hot water. Durning a pandemic you want to feel clean and comfortable and I sure did not feel either of these things.

Always my go to location when in the area. Close to all the downtown attractions. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and spacious. Will definitely return to this location again in the near future.

Hampton Inn is my go to brand in mid level lodging. Unfortunately this property falls short. I understand security, but the locked lobby door is very unwelcoming, particularly when the response on the intercom is a terse "can I help you?" rather than "Hello, are you here to check in?". Really felt like I was unwelcome, kind of a bother. Property needs work. Carpets are stained, woodwork is worn, heater noisy. This place needs attention. On the plus side the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There are many other hotels in this area, pick someplace else to stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Theresa was the front desk lady "helping" me throughout my stay. She was aggressive with me from the beginning when all I asked for was a receipt. They also allowed a wedding reception to be held in one of the rooms during a pandemic, and put me right below. They had subs and very loud speakers and when I asked for the staff to tell them to turn it down, they told me "they'll get quiet at 1030". It was 9pm and I had been travelling all day and wanted to sleep, I had to call back and get my room switched to the other side of the hotel, and received more negative vibes from Theresa. The room they moved me to had leaky pipes in the wall, so I had to sleep to drip drip drip drip all 4 nights. I didn't ask for another room switch because of the negativity from the front desk. When I checked out this morning, I received an "I told you so" type of response for what I would be charged as Theresa handed me my receipt. Extremely rude people work here. DO NOT STAY HERE. My experience was more like a seedy motel than what I'm used to at the Hampton.

So as I often mention, I try to be balanced in my reviews. Good: - location - beds were fine - water pressure was strong - customer service is good. The people are truly nice folks. Bad: - the rooms are small. Very small. And awkward. Be aware. - the bathrooms are odd. The double sink feels like a public restroom and there is nowhere to hang a towel. So it just sits on the counter. - there is no breakfast (even prepackaged) and they don’t have HHonors water bottles at check in. I will say that the GM (Amy) was legitimately interested in our concerns and did her best to address them. I think the hotel has some fixes needed to be a better property but, hopefully, those are forthcoming. I also will say if you were one or two people and only staying a night or two, it’s fine. Larger groups, families, and long-term stays will be tough though.
