Nestled in the heart of Milwaukee, The Westin Milwaukee garners high marks for its comfortable and well-appointed rooms, with guests often admiring the stunning views and the attentive service that enhances their experience. The hotel's prime location is a stone's throw from the lake and downtown attractions, making it a hit with many visitors. Despite criticisms regarding the high costs associated with parking and valet services, the cleanliness and inviting atmosphere of the hotel consistently impress reviewers. However, some guests note the lack of complimentary amenities, suggesting there's room for improvement in the value department.

We had our wedding room block here in December 2021. The entire staff was very helpful and accommodating from the beginning. Nadir, at the front desk, was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and made sure our room block was organized before guests arrived. The valet staff was always so kind and friendly. Craig, the event manager, was so helpful in coordinating a getting ready room on the wedding day and our Sunday brunch. We have nothing, but great things to say about this staff and hotel even during the difficult times of COVID. Thank you Westin Milwaukee!

We were fortunate to stay at the Westin Milwaukee during our most recent stay in November. Conveniently located near the Historic Third Ward and other prime locations in Downtown Milwaukee, this hotel definitely stands out as one of the best in the area. Museums, breweries, restaurants, and other touristic attractions can be found within a walking distance of the hotel. In addition, everyone that works there was more than helpful and tentative to our needs during our stay, so we truly enjoyed the nine nights we spent during Thanksgiving week.

Their one bedroom suite (700 sq. ft. approximately) provided the additional space needed for a long-term vacation. The living room was more than spacious, and the bathroom was incredible with a bathtub included. The heavenly bed is truly comfortable, especially after a long day of walking or sightseeing Milwaukee. I would highly recommend that you inquire with the hotel about its availability or book in advance to secure this room type.

Even though the hotel is operating with certain limitations due to COVID-19, we felt safe and were more than thankful to each team member of the Westin for their hard work. Each person provided coverage in many of the hotel areas, and felt that the overall team went above and beyond to make it work for hotel guests. Special thanks to Amgad, Damon, Dakota, Michael, Brian and most importantly to Ryan and Amanda. Both of them were always happy to extend a helping hand during our stay, and truly show how much they love their job.

We highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit in the near future their sister property - Marriott Downtown Milwaukee.

This was our first time staying at the Westin Milwaukee and overall, we were happy with our stay. The actual hotel itself is gorgeous and conveniently located. Because I was here as part of a wedding, I got to experience one of the rooms on the main floor that we used as our bridal suite to get ready. The actual hotel room was very nice too. It was extremely spacious and clean! The rainfall shower was an added bonus! One thing we were disappointed in was that there was clearly something wrong with the toilet. It could barely handle flushing even the smallest amount of paper and would fill up the bowl with water. Since I was involved in wedding festivities all day long, this was not something we realized until very late in the evening and didn't get a chance to reach out for maintenance. For the amount of money spent on this room, this is not something that you would expect to experience, especially given we hadn't even used the toilet yet. Valet was efficient and using the app for pickup was easy to do. I wish I could have experienced more of the hotel amenities but since we were limited on time we weren't able to. Don't hesitate to stay here if you are in the area and looking for a top-notch hotel, just make sure to flush the toilet right away upon entering ;)

We booked a block of rooms in February for the weekend of August 4-6, 2023, as parents of the Groom. We were required to book for 2 nights and inflated rates due to the Ironman qualifying taking place in Milwaukee the same weekend. No biggie, it's his wedding, right?
We had a group of approximately 24 rooms in the hotel, but gave us no consideration whatsoever. The rehearsal at the church was scheduled for 4pm on the 4th, so made a request to get a few of the rooms early check in. They explained that that was unlikely being fully booked. What we weren't prepared for was to not be able to check into some of the rooms BY the 3pm check in time. As parents of the groom, they were unable to provide a room for us before we had to depart for the rehearsal, so around 3:40pm. We were able to find other wedding guests that WERE given early check in and not headed to the rehearsal that were kind enough to let us use their rooms to get dressed.
The disappointment was that for a hotel of this "quality" (or so we thought), there was NO effort to apologize or do anything to improve our stay at the Westin. We had also prepaid $4 per bag for delivery of a Welcome Gift upon check-in. Less than half of them were actually given to the guests.
For over $300 per night, we expected more....really a LOT more from them. The guests who missed on the block stayed up the road at the Hyatt and had nothing but good things to say about the service there.
I think we simply chose poorly as the saying goes.

I cannot begin to express how important it is to us that every guest leaves fully satisfied with their stay, and to say that I am embarrassed that we did not hold up to your expectations during your stay with us. We stayed one night at the Westin before embarking on a Great Lakes cruise. You enter at street level then have to go up 2 floors to check in which was different. The lobby is nice and the check in staff were helpful. The rooms are ok, the shower was sub par and the pillows on the bed were not to our liking. They were very small and unsupportive. The bed was comfortable but we had trouble sleeping because of the pillows. The location is within walking distance of most downtown things to do and we always felt safe around the hotel. All things considered a good hotel but not great

I've had the pleasure of traveling many places in the world and don't often do reviews, but this stay was so positive that I feel the need to spread the word! Upon checking into the property, we had reached out regarding an opportunity for a room upgrade given our Bonvoy status. While that request cleared, our preference for a room with two-beds was overlooked and we were instead booked into a Jr. Suite with a king bed. We were traveling with a friend and wanted them to have bed rather than a pull out sofa bed. Hollee was the manager/agent checking us in, and went to work immediately to find a solution. I was amazed as she upgraded us to the Presidential Suite, and then gave us an ADDITIONAL adjoining room, for no extra charge. I couldn't believe the gesture of kindness. The room itself was stunning with beautiful views of Lake Michigan and a massive spa-designed bathroom with soaker tub and deluxe shower. Everything in the room was up to Westin standards--the bed was so comfortable and the suite in general was very inviting. I haven't had a front desk staff work so hard to make sure everyone (not just myself) in my party was beyond satisfied with the room. We will be back and will be spreading the word to family and friends.

A few notes of things to consider to make the property shine even brighter...I would consider having a couple fans available for guests who request them. I would also consider revisiting the price of parking on property. The fee is a bit hard to justify when parking is available for significantly less just across the street (which is what we did).

Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!!

We stayed at the Milwaukee Westin and can say that the hotel was very nice it self and the rooms were okay however the staff on the other hand not so great. The front desk staff was extremely rude and made comments that came off as racist. I travel a lot and have been to several Westin properties (many much nicer than this location) and a comment was made that I probably have never been to a hotel like this before. I also asked some questions about local dining and restrictions in the area and was given very short responses with no attention or care whatsoever. I felt very uncomfortable, but I just brushed it off and decided to give the hotel a try despite the unprofessional staff working the front desk and their behavior. I don’t think I’d stay here again and I am only giving it the 2 stars I am because Victor the valet manager was great. From the moment I arrived prior to my terrible check in experience with front desk staff, until I left he was wonderful. Very friendly and professional and quick to get my vehicle in and out. He ended up giving me tons of great recommendations and answered my questions the front staff neglected to so I truly appreciated him doing that for us. Although front staff wasn’t the best here, atleast the first people we saw when we arrived in valet were awesome and more helpful than anyone else in that place.

We had my daughter’s wedding in downtown Milwaukee and decided to stay at the Westin and have that as the host hotel. That was a very good decision! The front desk was over and beyond what I expected. everybody was extremely friendly and went Out of their way to be helpful. They set up a bridal lounge in one of the conference rooms which made it very convenient for the girls to get dressed. And after the reception, the manager kept Stella open for late night beverage service for all of our guests to keep them in the hotel safe and sound. The next morning we had a nice breakfast that was just perfect. Sunday morning one of my relatives had To leave at 4 AM and was very concerned that it would difficult to get an Uber at that time so the valet set up cab service for her to reassure her that she would get to the airport in time.
The hotel was very clean and the location was great. All of these little things added up to a great and wonderful successful weekend. Thanks Westin!

I’ve been to a lot of Marriott properties around the world during my work (and personal) travels, and this one definitely stands out. The facilities were certainly nice, but the service of the staff and quality of the food in the restaurant are what were noteworthy enough for me to stop to write a review. Risha checked me in, then went out of his way to take great care of us during our stay. Our room overlooked the lake, the breakfast was—in the words of my kids—“epic,” and the location of the hotel made it easy for us to explore the key areas of downtown Milwaukee. We’ll definitely be back.

I’ve now stayed here twice this month. The rooms are large and comfortable, with nice views and rainforest showers, but what really makes this hotel stand out above most others is the level of personal service. Tonight for example I asked the woman behind the front desk where I could replace my lost Iphone charger and she immediately gave me detailed directions to three places right off the top of her head. I was impressed. Everyone is just very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is pricey but excellent, and if your Bonvoy status gets you free breakfast vouchers, opt for that instead of points.
