Awesome BnB! friendly, beautiful, clean, and what a great location in that cute little country town away from the hub ub of the city. It was like stepping back in time. I arrived on Halloween and there were even a few bumps in the night!

We planned a trip to see a play at the APT (Arcadia-highly recommended), and attend a Farm dinner at Taliesin-home of Frank Lloyd Wright. We have been at the Walking Iron B-B 2x before and have had a marvelous time. This time was no different. Karisa and Dave are such gracious hosts. Their home is a Victorian, historically accurately renovated...

The work they did on the house is amazing. The amenities are the best I've encountered in a B&B. It is about 15 minutes from the touristy things in Spring Green with 3 restaurants within a few blocks walk.

We've been at Walking Iron many times and it only gets better. Karissa and Dave are wonderful and are very responsive to your needs. They have those terrific breakfasts with fresh fruit, great coffee & that French toast is out of this world. What more could you ask for!!

The Walking Iron B&B far exceeded our expectations. When we drove up to this lovely historic Inn, I felt quiet and like we were stepping back in time. Memories of a childhood at my grandparents' home in the country flooded my mind. Karissa encouraged us to look around, so we had a chance to see the beautiful antiques and many...

We've stayed at Walking Iron the past 3 summers and consider it the best in Wisconsin. David and Karissa are very good personable hosts. The Old Feed Mill is the only nearby restaurant but is excellent also.

This Italianette 1860s home is beautifully and authentically restored and maintained. It is located on the Black Earth Creek. Two blocks away is a nice walking path along the creek and a good restaurant, The Old Feed Mill. Parking is easy on the street just in front of the BNB. Breakfast is average. Our room was great, Alsie's Nook. A...

This is my second time time staying at the place about 15 miles from American Players Theater & Taliesen in Spring Green. This time we stayed in large room on the second floor called Lenora's Garden View Room. After the play, we hung out on the expansive front porch of this place to relax before heading upstair for bed. It...

Thank you Mark for taking the time to write a review! Completely understand about the breakfast situation and we have added to our continental breakfasts some type of hot entree (french toast, hot sandwiches, pancakes). Thanks again for choosing us to stay with when you attend the plays at APT!

My four-day business trip, working with a client in Prairie du Sac, felt more like a mini-vacation. The home is a work of art, with the 'Italianate' theme throughout. My room was so comfortable, the bed a dream, and the 'commute' to work was a lovely 20-minute country drive. On my day off, the historic district of Mazomanie was an...

I'm usually not a big fan of the B & B experience, at least in the states. The Walking Iron was like staying in a museum. The history of it is well documented and presented. Be sure to check out their website. The bathrooms are refreshingly modern, even had a whirlpool tub with dual shower heads. The whole place was...
