We had a wonderful stay last weekend for a family funeral, and were very impressed by the helpful and courteous staff, the spacious rooms, the high quality restaurant, and the delicious variety of foods at breakfast. There was also a nice workout room. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms recently renovated. Definitely would stay there again!
This was my second time staying at Hotel Marshfield, and my second top notch experience. The standards & amenities here are far beyond what would expect of a hotel in this class. The entire staff is professional on a level that's become a rarity in the service industry. Housekeeping is stellar. Complimentary breakfast is excellent, and served on actual dish ware. You can enjoy a genuine breakfast in a pleasant environment; not the norm for many places these days. The bar/restaurant was lively on a Thursday evening, with an interesting mix of guests from various states & countries. I haven't had the opportunity to take advantage of the courtyard & pool, but it looks inviting. I know several people locally who have attended weddings & other events at Hotel Marshfield and across the board, they've all been impressed. After leaving Marshfield, I stayed at a couple of other hotels while on a road trip. Similar price points but night & day in terms of the experience. Hotel Marshfield is worth every penny & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. …
Everything about this hotel is EXCEPTIONAL! Clean, spotless. Everything worked. Breakfast was the BEST! Real scrambled eggs, tater tots/American fries, ham/sausage, waffles, plus more. Personal attendant at breakfast. High end room, bed firm... excellent. Stay here if you can. You will not be disappointed.
I stay at over 150 nights a year, in hotels and although this hotel is "nice" with decent amenities, it falls short on the cleanliness aspects and until they start hiring quality housekeepers and pay them a decent wage, they will continue to fall short, like the rest of the hotels in the country. To start, I was NOT aware that they feel the need to charge a $14.99 "booking fee". I did not notice it, nor see it on my initial reservation until I was performing my expense audit. This is the first hotel that I have seen, to charge a booking fee. The next issue, is nowhere on their website, did it offer a single, king bed, however, I would have much preferred that option, and always book a king, if it is offered. LaVon at the front desk, still put me in a double queen room. I was not about to argue and deal with more delays, since I had already driven 12hrs to get to Marshfield. The bathroom has black mold over the shower, there was urine around the toilet, an Andies Candies and a nickel was left on the floor under the desk and the carpet had the rank smell of rotten feet. I addressed the issues of the Candy and $.05 tip, yet, noone rectified the issue even after saying something. I guess that was MY tip for staying there. The bartender, Anna, was less than friendly the entire time I was there. Granted, it was 9:30at night, but that is her job and I would have expected someone more friendly. Overall experiences was decent, but don't leave dirty towels outside your door....they will not replenish them unless you hunt them down to get them swapped out. The elevator is slower than molasses in January and can BARELY accomodate 1 person and the luggage cart. NO WAY can EMS get a stretcher in there and tend to a 2nd floor patient. Nice pool, hot tub and firer pit, plus plenty of patio seating.…
We stayed for a wedding, and we found the hotel the perfect spot to be social with our family without encroaching on other guests. The common areas are set up to accommodate many separate parties. There is an outdoor courtyard in the center of the facility with a pool and ample seating that enhances the atmosphere. Bedding is upgraded and luxurious, the mattress was perfect for us. We were in a 2 room suite, and the bathroom was poorly designed and featured a pocket door (which always disappoints us). But - we certainly won't hold it against the staff or our experience! The breakfast was impressively and actively attended - no items ever got close to running out or getting off-temperature. Be aware that there isn't an elevator, so request a first floor room if this is an issue for you. Overall, this hotel is an excellent value. You will likely get more than you paid for!…
Stayed here a few times this month and cannot recommend highly enough. The nicest hotel in the area. My room was modern, clean, and quiet. Breakfast is good, but dinner options are the best. Staff are helpful and quick to provide extra coffee pods, tissues, whatever, and also to handle any issues that arise. If you are traveling anywhere within 45 minutes from Marshfield, stay here!
Omg, hotel was great but the staff is really what made it amazing. Charity at the front desk was so hospitable and really made you feel like an honored guest in someone’s home vs being at a hotel.Charity, Terry, and all the staff truly amazing!! Foster, Hamilton
Check in and out went smoothly. Lobby was clean and had a lot of seating. It is a very pet friendly hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Free breakfast was hot and had a lot of choices. Has a bar and resturant. The patio area has a sauna, whirlpool and pool. There is no daily housekeeping unless you call. It was a nice place.
I love this hotel. I have experienced another hotel in town, not very favorably. This place has everything we need. If we're snowed in, we have a great restaurant, a great bar and plenty of room to sit in the restaurant area away from our room. The room is great, clean, neat, well supplied. There have been some upgrades I've noticed recently. I think they are continuing that trend. The bathrooms are a little small and tubs need replacing but still usable. We stay here often and enjoy it. IMO the breakfast buffet needs a makeover with new foods. But it is beautifully presented and the staff are wonderful. This is my hotel of choice for Marshfield.
I stayed therefore 3 1/2 weeks while I was going to school. The entire staff in all departments were friendly kind and helpful! There were a few that went the extra mile to make my stay amazing! Clayton, Vicki, Jill, Nick, and La Von at the front desk and Veronica and Kathy in the food service! I didn't get to meet the housekeepers personally but they always had my room cleaned and stocked! The room was comfortable and the water was always hot! If I needed anything all I had to do was call the front desk! The hot tub even with the cold air and onetime snow, was always clean and warm. They even had an area where we were able to hang out in our class group! Thanks again! I will be back again!
