We arrived at West Kili House after a long day out and having been caught in a torrential downpour. It was a welcome sight to find our comfortable, extra-spacious interconnected family room with two enormous en-suite bathrooms (and hot power showers) set amidst a lovely green, neat and peaceful garden. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive and caring. They brought our dinner meal to us to enjoy alfresco on our large verandah which saved us having to head to the dining room in the rain. After a restful night's sleep in our comfy beds, we enjoyed an abundant breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast and all sorts of tasty baked goods before heading off to explore Moshi for the day. Thank you, West Kili House, for your wonderful hospitality!

From the moment one drives into the property, a calm, affable and authentic feeling embraces you.
It is the warmth of the staff, the well manicured mature lawns, the bird life and tranquil air that brushes past your face (your lungs will thank you), a safe haven.

Towering across the fence line is majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Breathtaking views as one enjoys organic, flavourful meals from the restaurant.

The accommodation is decent with generous large bathrooms, a huge king size bed, clean beddings and awesome views of the gardens.

We stayed here our first and last 3 nights of our trip and after being away for a week, it felt like returning home. The staff couldn’t be friendlier and are very accommodating, even leading us on walks to the local village and answering all of our questions. Rooms are basic and wifi better at the lodge, but it completely met my needs. The pool was refreshing after a long flight and a lovely place to hang out at the end of the day. Beautiful grounds.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful architectural style in a beautiful garden. Recently also a nice swimming pool. Very hospitable and sweet people, you are really pampered and get all the attention. We had a beautiful sundowner with special attention from Abraham, the owner of the Hotel.

We arrived at the House of West Kili after a long day in the Safari jeep. There was a brief discussion when we arrived because someone forgot that we were arriving that evening. Despite that, the staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable and feel welcome.

The rooms were clean and the bathroom/shower area was huge!

Overall a nice stay.

When I had issues with my flight home, my local guide referred me to the House of Westkili. What a beautiful property. They made what was a rough day into a wonderful day. I had such personalized attention, a home made meal and a beautiful room. The grounds are spectacular. You can just feel how loved this property is by the owner and everyone working there. I would definitely stay here again.

I was fortunate to stay at House of West Kili during a cycling tour around the Kilimanjaro area. We were warmly welcomed and give a nice orientation of the facilities. The grounds were immaculate and well groomed. The lodge rooms are huge, super clean and the plumbing was all working well. I felt like a VIP. The meals were excellent as we had dinner and breakfast before heading off.
I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a really nice place to stay. It was an absolute treat to stay at.

We were referred to Abraham and House of West Kili by a long-time friend. So glad this worked out. The stay at HoWK was very good in and of itself. We loved the team. It was a little sanctuary before and after the climb that Abraham helped arrange. We had an EXCELLENT trip. We also went to a local school to see how we could help. I am happy to be contacted for any questions.

We have traveled extensively around the world and the House of Westkili ranks up at the top for a boutique hotel! The plantation hotel is located near Kilimanjaro and has the best and shortest access to the mountain. The view of the mountain from the property is spectacular and the landscape with banana trees, and rooms are gorgeous and relaxing. And the staff is outstanding from their first greeting to the delicious prepared meals to their willingness to help. Abraham the owner introduced himself right away, and made sure we were comfortable, and offered us a bottle of wine for dinner. He also offered his skills as our guide for our hike to the first base camp on Kilimanjaro. He knows the mountain better than anyone. The hike was outstanding and his knowledge of the the surrounding area made our stay wonderful! We were traveling with our 4 children.

Comfortable, nice and clean, this lodge is a great place to relax before and after a trek to the west entrance of Kilimanjaro (Shira Plateau). The owner, Mr Abraham and his staff are very friendly. Excellent cuisine. No hesitation in recommending this lodge.
