My wife & I spent 5 days at this stunning piece of history with a few friends! Drinks by the multiple fire places & at the Apothecary bar. Hot tub in room was a bonus! The staff was friendly. We will visit again for sure!!

Rarely have I seen such a unique hotel. Maxwell Mansion gives a great first impression and maintains that throughout the stay. Guest rooms are all unique and beautiful. The place is full of history and character. Location is very good and staff very helpful. I would go here anytime again! A Sunday brunch in historical Baker house close by is... More

The inn is lovely and beautifully furnished--especially the common areas such as the outside gazebo, the Apothecary Bar, and the sitting room complete with curved red velvet love seat. Despite the charm of the mansion, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Never, ever have I experienced such horrible customer service. It was so outrageous that I felt I had... More

Rooms were great. two blocks from the lake. you can walk almost everywhere in the area. The room we had was so much fun. Great steam shower (you will see the pics). Down the street is a diner, McDonalds, Culvers, and a 1/4 of a mile walk and you are at all the restaurants.

Where do I begin?! My husband travels for work for weeks at a time all over the world; Paris, Italy, Prague, Vienna, all 5-star hotels, resorts and quaint little villas...The Maxwell Mansion is right up there with all of them! We were greeted by Beth who couldn't be sweeter if she tried! We stayed in the "Horse stables" but Beth... More

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Our bed was comfortable and the noise level was non existent. Would definitely come back! Beth was very polite and attentive when we arrived. Showed us the landmarks of the property, directed us to our room and offered her assistance should we need it. A short walk from downtown! we were able to walk to... More

Cannot recommend this place enough! Beautifully done! The house is a step back to an amazing time, and the stables are so chic! We felt like royalty! Beth was the perfect hostess, answering all of our questions and helping us with a reservation issue. This serene oasis is within walking distance of everything Lake Geneva is known for. Well done... My husband and I came here for our anniversary this summer. There are no words to describe this BEAUTIFUL property! The mansion is gorgeous, and you can tell that it is well maintained, and walking in you feel like you are walking right into The Great Gatsby. I don't feel like the pictures do this place justice. Our favorite spot... More

Place looked adorable, called several times seeking an adjoining room to rent for a week! I was excited. Advertised they were pet friendly. They knew I had a large dog (75 lbs) from day 1. The day I booked they said "no dogs over 25 lbs". WHAT?? I was shocked. It's sorta comical since my big dog doesn't jump on... More

I took my girlfriend here as a surprise for her birthday and boy did she love it. This is a fantastic place to stay for couples. The apothecary bar and the speakeasy were so much fun! The stable rooms are amazing, the peek-a-boo steam shower was magnificent. The staff really make you feel like family. Were going to go back... More
