I cannot express enthusiastically enough how pleased I am with our decision to stay at Maxwell Mansion for our romantic weekend getaway. The price is not nearly the most outstanding factor in my experience, but it should be stated that the value is unheard of. At basically the same price of any ordinary hotel room you can stay at this...

We decided to spend N.Y.E. at Maxwell Mansion, instead of the Baker House, because it is Pet Friendly. The room was lovely & cozy, but being situated on a busy corner, it was noisey. Unlike the Baker House, the Maxwell offers exterior detached motel like rooms. There is a Keurig in the room - which was a plus for me....

It was our first get-away together and couldn't have chosen a better spot. From the moment we walked in we knew it was special. The hotel bar is as cool as it gets. Thank you Chaz (GM) and Brahm (master mixologist).

We would stay here again. Good location close to everything, restaurants, shopping, bars and the lake. Our room was in the Carriage House which has rustic decor, nicely laid out and comfortable bed, clean room, nice quality bed linens and towels. Very happy with the room. Looks like the grounds would be beautiful in the warm months. I would recommend...

Our 25th Anniversary ended up being on a incredibly cold Wednesday. I knew there wouldn't be a lot of activities to go to so finding a cozy, romantic place to stay was important. I'm so glad we chose the Maxwell Mansion. We stayed in the Stable Room #5. The bed was incredibly comfortable and intimate with the four poster canopy....

My husband and I spent two nights in room 4 at the Maxwell Mansion. The rooms are recently renovated and are very luxurious. The bed is super comfortable with high quality linens. The steam shower is state of the art. The owner has included small touches, like air freshener in the bathroom, high quality products, and soft bathrobes, that really...

My wife & I spent 5 days at this stunning piece of history with a few friends! Drinks by the multiple fire places & at the Apothecary bar. Hot tub in room was a bonus! The staff was friendly. We will visit again for sure!!

Rarely have I seen such a unique hotel. Maxwell Mansion gives a great first impression and maintains that throughout the stay. Guest rooms are all unique and beautiful. The place is full of history and character. Location is very good and staff very helpful. I would go here anytime again! A Sunday brunch in historical Baker house close by is...

The inn is lovely and beautifully furnished--especially the common areas such as the outside gazebo, the Apothecary Bar, and the sitting room complete with curved red velvet love seat. Despite the charm of the mansion, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Never, ever have I experienced such horrible customer service. It was so outrageous that I felt I had...

The owners and management stand by our employees and protect them from beligerent guests. There are two sides to every story... in short this guest was banned from our hotel.

Rooms were great. two blocks from the lake. you can walk almost everywhere in the area. The room we had was so much fun. Great steam shower (you will see the pics). Down the street is a diner, McDonalds, Culvers, and a 1/4 of a mile walk and you are at all the restaurants.
