My husband planned a last minute birthday trip for us. Just a few days. Was looking good for something nicer than a hotel room but not a bed and breakfast. He cam upon Maxwell Mansion. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Lovely gardens and pool areas for relaxing. Staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend to friends or family looking for a... More

This place is perfect for a couple's weekend getaway. It is very quaint and cute. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We chose to stay in the carriage house because we liked the style/look of those rooms better. It has a more modern farmhouse style rather than the Victorian style of the main mansion.. Barn-door bathroom door, whiskey barrel... More

What a treat! the place was beautiful.Super friendly ,professional service and staff. The rooms were all classic and reminded me of a gone by era.A nice pool for afternoon sun and a cozy bar with Abraham, the barman taking good care of you. The room was beautiful and clean. While we visited our group had cocktails in the speak easy downstairs. It was a great visit and I will definitely go back. If... More

My wife and I stayed here for a Friday and Saturday night. We stayed in the stable section of the hotel, not the main building. The room was very clean, modern and the bathroom was huge. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. It also had a very large flat screen which we did not use but looked nice. What... More

This is my first Trip Advisor review and I am doing so for two reasons. The mansion itself is wonderful. It was an amazing weekend away for my husband and I. There is so much character and every room is unique. Great bar and downstairs is a speakeasy open on friday evenings in the summer. Everyone who worked there was... More

The bar is small but it's very well done, meant to look old fashioned. We were in for a girls weekend and this was a great stop for afternoon cocktails. The grounds are very cool to walk around as well. The staff was friendly too. I would go back for sure.

We stayed at the Maxwell Mansion this past weekend. I was contacted by them a few days before our visit notifying us that we would have to move rooms. Apparantly the original room we had was ADA accessible and there was a guest that needed it. I completely understood and agreed immediately to move rooms. Unfortunately I was moved to... More

What a hidden gem. I went to a work retreat. Our meeting was in the mansion and we stayed in the coach house rooms. The mansion is amazing with so much history. Very unique. The rooms are superb! No details has gone un attended to. The beds, shower, décor, I was speechless! Cant wait to come back with my family... More
