My family and I were put there for a month. Well there we had to clean our own rooms upon check-in. Black mold through out the rooms. Heater filters were covered in mold. Went to different place were things were better. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
The Room: !. Very 1970's. She says she is up dating the room hence the jacked up prices. Funny the only thing that has changed over 3 years is the comforter on the bed. Same rock hard mattress is still in the room since we started coming here. 2. The bathroom light or should I say WHAT LIGHT?? You can hardly see to blow dry your hair (bring your own hair dryer as none are supplied), much less to put on makeup, the cover is filthy and full of bugs. If anything needs updating the most it has to be the bath rooms. Pink or yellow tile on the walls, seriously?? But that is not the best part, the shower head is about 4 maybe 4 1/2 foot high. My husband is 6'1" his waist got really clean. Had to shower on his knees to wash his hair and upper body!! Now that is sad. There was a new bath mat on the floor instead of the old paper ones or the dingy white towel like mat that was stiff from bleech. 3. If you plan on cooking on the grills that are on the property be sure to bring your own grate as we lost 2 pork chops through the holes in the grill grate! Last year we went to Walmart and bought a new small grill to cook out on. 4. The prices are what you would expect of a Geneva Inn or resort, not a dingy, outdated motel at best. 5. NO WIFI!! What hotel doesn't provide WIFI??? Even SLEEP INN & RED ROOF has WIFI!! those are really a budget motels. . Like others have said only 2 TV channels, which did not bother me .But the remote did not work which really upset the husband, even changed the batteries didn't help! 6. The AC sounded like a truck coming off the road and into the room.. It was hot outside but the room was ok inside. Come in in a wet suit and you were cool. 7. As far as pets I have never seen any guests pets there. The owners family dog is walking around the property and is very friendly. So I am Not sure if dogs are ok or not. I ALWAY pay someone to stay at my house with my dogs as they are happier at home and you don't have to worry about them being bored while you are out shopping, concerting, or enjoying the pool. I DID ENJOY THE POOL!! The pool is large, and deep which is hard to find at a hotel pool. It was relatively clean and she did run the vacuum once while we were there.. It is large enough to have the kids diving off the edge and me floating at the other end on an air matress... Also bring wasp spray as the wasps are thick and stinging by the gate as you enter and exit the pool area. BRING YOU STING STICK. 3 people were stung in our party. If you like to swim and don't mind paying a high price to do so this is the place for you. But we will be staying somewhere different this year so my husband can stand up to shower!! If I owned this place First thing I would do is gut one room at a time and put in new everything then pp would not mind paying your high prices!! Good Luck hope Justina reads some of these reviews as we r only trying to help.…
The place had an older retro vibe and was very clean. It is located just a couple blocks up the hill from Lake Geneva and walking distance to shops by the lake. The check in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. Very much a small family run business. The pool was nice too.
Totally run down and not worth the money I have never stayed at a property so bad!! Uneven sidewalks getting into the door, the refrigerator didn't work or the microwave. Family run business she called & emailed to see what time we were arriving so she could take her son to work & had us give her a 2 hour window, that was fine but we have never had this happen. NEVER & we travel a lot. Even the pool area had covers where there where holes that someone could have walked in...horrible. Usually $159.00 a night the internet price was wrong & we got it for $92.00 she mentioned we got a steal.... We asked for ice & we received a 1/2 a bucket WOW.. Stay away from this place....yes they charge for canceling no matter how many days in advance $29.00 no one does this. Forgetta about it , all low lives stay here awful place. People in front pretending to have sex & then out there again drinking in the am hours doing it again very early Sunday low lives stay there she means well very run down beautiful property "land" but building is "DEAD" so sad for Lake Geneva stay away.…
We wanted to do some shopping and bring our little dog along. This is the only place in LG that allows dogs. The lady that runs the place with her boys was very nice. The pool looked very clean and inviting but we did not bring our suits. The rooms could use some refreshing, brightening, and smoke abatement. We had some drinks from our cooler at the chairs provided outside our room and enjoyed the fresh lake air. The resort is walking distance to fast food and downtown Lake Geneva. If I travel with my pet I will bring my suit next time.
I made a reservation with them they said there is no cancelation fee prior to 48 hours. I called to cancel 5 days before my stay. I had called first thing in the morning so I could give them time to fill the rooms if someone else was looking, they didn't call back till 9 pm. when they called I was busy working on something else so my attention wasn't all there. I called the next day to just ask a few questions about the cancelation fee and they refused to call back. So here I am writing a bad review for a place I hadn't even stayed at because they only care about the money coming in not the service
This morning I called this Inn at 9:00. As per instructions in voice mail I left my name and number to receive a return call in regard to my interest in making a reservation. A lady called me at 4:35. I politely mentioned that I was surprised it took her all day to return my call but none-the- less continued to ask about a reservation. - again I will say POLITELY - She said " she would not make a reservation for me". Totally shocked at her quick, defensive, rude hang up!
Very very misleading, it is not a resort and the 'cabins' are like a tiny box. Our stay was more stressful than anything as we brought our dogs and had no idea how small this place was. It is also far from the lake/downtown area.
We stayed in one of the tiny cabins. First off there were no towels in the room. The remote didn't work at all for the TV. There was no heater in the room so it was as cold inside as it was outside. The place smelt like mold. When it was time to check out it said it was closed and wouldn't be back till 12:30 pm which check out is at 11. Then when she came back from inspecting it she said we had to clean the sheets and the room had to be spotless and since we didn't because she NEVER told us we had to she charged $30 and took it from our security deposit. WHAT A COMPLETE SCAM! NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!!! SUCH HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THE PLACE ALL TOGETHER WAS RUN DOWN AND DIRTY!
Don’t be fooled by the name, the “Wesley Inn and Resort” is not a resort. The pictures on their website look good, but you will be shocked when you actually get here. Downtown Lake Geneva is a touristy area, with shopping, restaurants, beach activities, boating, etc. The Wesley is not downtown, quite a distance from the lake, and shows its age. The room prices are high because it is in Lake Geneva, not because of the hotel’s amenities. Rooms are run down, cleaning is questionable, service is sub-par.
