Had a fantastic weekend up at Madeline Island staying at Ferry Landing! Suites were spacious and well equipped. Close enough to the ferry to walk (leave your car in Bayfield if you want). Being close to the "downtown" of La Pointe was a major plus as well -restaurants, bars, bakery, and laundromat all blocks away.

My Girlfriend and I wanted to take a vacation on Madeline Island but we didn't quite know where to stay. I found this online and booked it, not quite knowing what to expect. I was blown away when we arrived; the price was reasonable but the lodgings were magnificent, after we were there for a few hours, we felt right...

I went here as a nature lover and this certainly did not disappoint. In the corner of downtown La Pointe is where the hotel is located. It feels like a coastal apartment with great views and friendly neighbors. Madeline Island Bakery was a short walk from the hotel and we loved getting coffee there. Cannot wait to go back!

A beautiful space on a beautiful block -- this was an outstanding experience. Walking distance from the ferry landing (a big help with an armful of groceries!) and a view of the lake from each of the upstairs balconies. Couldn't have asked for more.

Great location, nice spacious room with micro/fridge. Too bad the mattress was hard as a rock. I slept on the couch. Good value, but the room could use some work... fix the door so it closes more easily/securely and key removes easier from lock. Beware, there is no hair dryer and there are no plates or utensils.

I have stayed in the Wind Sled Studio. The studio was overpriced, unless you like that "basement experience." Dishes must all be washed and placed back in their original location, or you are charged an extra fee. However, there is no place to wash them except the bathroom sink, and there was no dish detergent. I washed them as well...

Dear Ladyjane, Thank you for your review and bringing your concerns to our attention. We are in the process of replacing our water softener as I am typing this and the rust in the water and hard water should be a thing of the past. As for the dishes, since your stay in May, and since the Windsled Suite is...

The room was awesome and located in the perfect place to get around the island and see the sites! Friendly staff that can give you the ins and out of the island. A great place to get away from the hustle and grind.

Ferry Landing is very close to the Main Street of La Pointe, although the town is tiny. The rooms are quaint and nicely furnished. The prices are high but everything is on this island. The floor in the kitchen did not seem like it had been swept before we got there and I was wary of some of the dishes...

We recently stay at the Ferry Landing Suites. We had such a great time staying right in the middle of town. Once we arrived, we could walk everywhere we wanted to be. -kayaking -biking and moped riding -swimming -playing croquet with the locals, which included a few (too many) beers. We’d go back in a minute, especially given the rates...

Babbs- glad you like the Bayfield Suite. It's nice and big with 2 BR's and giant living room and when you want to be outside you have your pick of two different decks to watch the town or the lake from a higher perch. Thanks for your nice words about our cleanliness and value-- those are two of the watchwords...

Last year when I visited Madeline Island I had stayed in the Bayfield. This year I decided to try the Queen. They say the Bayfield is the presidential suite but really need to give that title to the Queen. The privacy of the Queen is awesome. Private deck, and every window you look out you see nothing but forest. It...

Glad you liked it enough to come back another time. I know you have lots of choices of where to stay so we appreciate your confidence in our place. I like the privacy fence, too, and to be surrounded by the woods makes it that much more special. Thanks for your feedback and we look forward to your next visit.
