We stayed for three nights in the Big sky cabin. Huge balcony out of the back that has a gorgeous view of the green and woodlands. Our cabin had a marvelous king bed with lovely linens. We had a gas fireplace tied to the thermostat which kept the cabin at a constant temperature. The cabin itself is large and has... More

Our second stay at the Kickapoo Valley guest cabins was just as great as our first! We cant say enough about how wonderful and fun Joe and Dave are. The cabin(the whitetail) was pristine and beautiful, so comftorable that we dont care if we get rained in. The cookies are amazing and we took a bunch home to give to... More

These cabins are very well equipped. Nice special touches from the Cowboys, such as aromatic coffee and scrumptious cookies the size of your hand. We were pleased the cabin had a/c as the weather was extremely humid when we were there. We had planned a canoe trip on the Kickapoo River but storms crushed those plans. No worries! We cuddled... I haven't stayed at the ranch but I have stopped by for dessert. No exaggeration; best...carrot cake....ever. It's a beautiful drive to the ranch and worth the trip for the food alone. We had a great cup of coffee while enjoying a sweet treat then took a box of frozen cupcakes for the road. It's an hour drive but I... More

If you are looking for a place to "get away from it all", then this is the place for you. Everything about our stay was perfect. Met Cowboy Joe as we pulled into the Ranch, he set us up with a map, recommended a few local eateries and attractions and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was... More

Where do I start? A wonderful and warm welcome on an early Friday evening. Joe was open and kind and sent me on my way up the hill to my cabin where I found an amazing, cozy, and quiet oasis. Fully stocked kitchenette, with coffee to be ground in the morning, a fridge for my eggs and wine I brought.... More

The Cowboys were there to greet us, along with the adorable llamas, cats & horses. Cowboy Joe made sure we had all we needed before directing us to our cabin on the Summit. They let us know they were there for us 24/7. Arriving at 'Woodview', the fireplace was going and the lights were on to welcome us, with their... More

Drove up from Chicago with my grandpa for some hiking and to explore the area. Our cabin was perfect—in its furnishing, decoration, view, and spotlessness. The seating and lighting was right for evening talk. Thanks to Joe and David, we went on the best hike in the area (or at least I can't imagine a better or more memorable one).... More

What a fantastic weekend at the Kickapoo Valley Ranch. Despite the rain and clouds, we had a great time and our cabin and cookies were the highlight of the trip. The cabin has everything you could ever need and is spacious and cozy at the same time. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere and the cabins are... More

This was our first visit to Kickapoo Valley Ranch, and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted by Cowboy Joe as we walked up to the registration building; he was incredibly nice and made you feel more like you were visiting an old friend than checking into a hotel. We asked a lot of questions about the local area, and he... More
