We enjoy staying at bed and breakfasts just for the individual experience of that place. Castle La Crosse ranks high in our experiences. The house's interior is finished with many native Wisconsin woods. The building has remained remarkably intact and the modern amenities, like the great bathrooms and air conditioning, are not done at the expense of the architecture. The whole place is furnished and decorated in a manner that brings out the building's best without leaving you feeling like you are in a museum, or afraid to sit on the furniture. The owners graciously welcome you into their home, make you feel comfortable, including looking out for your health during covid. The food is excellent, breakfast is an enjoyable experience in itself. The fact that one of the owners went to culinary school is apparent and appreciated. It was a really enjoyable stay on so many levels and we heartily recommend you experience it for yourself.

Loved our nights' stay at Castle LaCrosse. Such a beautiful place with interesting history. Billy and Brandon were perfect hosts and very knowledgeable of the homes' history. They have furnished it with so many beautiful pieces of art , furniture , etc. We highly recommend staying here. The breakfast was awesome , too ! Be sure to take a walk around Cass and King streets to see all the beautiful homes.

Castle La Crosse is an excellent get-away for a relaxing stay in a truly historic home that oozes authentic Victorian charm. The architecture, rooms, and furnishings are awesome. There are few places where you can say just sitting in a room is a pleasure for the senses. Brandon and Billy are gracious and accommodating hosts. My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. We highly recommend Castle La Crosse for an extraordinary experience in a lovely neighborhood.

We were celebrating our 42nd anniversary at the Castle and it was everything I hoped for. Billy and Brandon made our experience so special! We have been to all kinds of bed and breakfasts(including Europe) and I have to say this was one of the all time best experiences! The castle is amazing! Loved the Walnut suite. So many wondrous art and furniture they have all throughout the castle they have collected in their travels. Breakfast was delicious and I especially enjoyed the cookies and chocolate! Billy, I ordered Under the Tuscan Sun after talking with you about Italy! We will most assuredly be back for another visit. Thanks so much!

This was our third trip to The Castle and was another home run experience. The home is amazing, food excellent and hospitality from Billy is exceptional. It was our anniversary celebration and is a very romantic destination. Dinner at Lovechild and a drive east on Highway 33 for wonderful scenery was a perfect combo. Thanks, Billy for making your home so special.

This castle enables you to feel like royalty but with graceful comfort. It it immaculately clean, and superbly decorated. Every detail was addressed with elegance. The breakfast was incredible! Each dish was unique and delicious with beautiful presentation. The coffee was perfect and we love good coffee! The hosts were personable and shared every aspect of their home with us. They shared the history of this mansion and encouraged us to enjoy every part of it. The decor and art work are a feast for the eyes. We loved it!

Castle La Cross is stunning inside and out. The hosts, Brandon and Billy were great! So friendly and Brandon’s chef-quality breakfasts were better than many which I have had at 5-star resorts. The TLC they put into the castle shows in every room through every detail. Our room was very grand, bed and bedding was very comfortable, the homemade cookies or specialty chocolates that were surprisingly left in our room for us was an unexpected extra. I highly recommend this for anyone who is interested in a unique experience. Castle La Crosse will not disappoint. It is a true show-stopper!

Brandon & Billy have done an amazing job on this quaint castle. They explain the history and background of previous owners and are the most gracious hosts. The breakfast was delicious and exploring the details of the castle was full of intrigue. Lacrosse has some interesting places to explore and this was a grand place to have a base to relax. Thank you for a memorable time Brandon and Billy!
