This summer, we stayed for the 8th time at Delta Lodge and loved every day there. We have stayed in various cabins during all four seasons, and we have enjoyed each visit. We love to kayack peacefully on the clear lake, swim in the clear water on the sand beach or just rest in the comfortable cabin. Among the beautiful sounds and sights around the lake, we absolutely love the loons, who gracefully swim, fish and call to each other. There are a number of excellent restaurants in the area, including Delta Diner, the Rivers Eatery (pizza) in Cable and Pine Point. We already have plans to return to the same cabin next year!
I think we've found our new favorite annual family vacation spot!! As our family grew to 4 generations, places that we booked at over the years grew smaller, so this year was the first year we stayed at Delta Lodge. Our ages range from 81 years old to 14 months old, and there was something for everyone to do - no one got bored!! Some went swimming, some fished, some went out on the canoes and boat, hiking, we barbecued and visited around the campfire at night. One of my sons brought their guitar along, so we even enjoyed singing songs. My husband and I and our 3 sons and their families stayed in cabins #3, #7 and #11, and we even had room to spare!
Each year I take my family to Delta Lodge for a week. This year we stayed in cabin 11 which fit our family needs perfectly! We had plenty of room, plenty of peaceful areas to escape to and also nice areas to hang out in a group. There were a couple of days with some rain and wind so the screened in patio was amazing! The kids ages from 6-16 had daily blasts in the game room playing pool and putting puzzles together. We were able to see several turtles laying their eggs around the cabins which was a great experience! There are LOTS of kayaks and canoes, great areas to swim and fish so everyone has a great time. This is our 3rd year going and we are all excited to go again next year. Marilyn is always accommodating for anything we need! All in all GREAT experiences!!
The Delta Lodge is a great place to unwind and reset. It is a quiet Northwoods destination surrounded by miles of untouched nature, hiking trails, and many undeveloped lakes with excellent fishing opportunities. My father and I look forward to returning to the resort for our annual fishing trip every May. He and other family members have been going to the Delta Lodge for 36 years, Four years ago, we started a new chapter, as we make our annual father/son trip. We always rent cabin 11, which overlooks beautiful Lake Everett. The cabin is not fancy, but it is comfy, cozy and clean. The kitchenette includes everything you need to cook and be self sufficient while you are there. There are a number of good restaurants in the area, including the famous Delta Diner. Although we spend much of our time away from the cabin, there is much to do right on site. Numerous boats, kayaks, and canoes are available for use near the beach area. Everett Lake is an ideal body of water to swim in, as the water is crystal clear, and I believe the entire lake is wake free. The scenery is beautiful; I would love to go up in the fall to see the colors. There is a pool table and other games to play within the Lodge area. Each cabin has its own fire pit and grill. The screened in porch is a great place to have a cup of coffee and read a book. I would definitely recommend the Delta Lodge to anyone who wants a simple Northwoods vacation. My dad and I will continue to return every year to bond and hit the reset button. It will forever hold a special place in my heart.…
My family booked lodge # 3, 4, 5, 12, 11 and 7 for a stay at Delta lodge in early June. The group ranged in age from toddlers up to my parents who are 81 years old. Every one of us absolutely loved our stay. We woke up to the gorgeous view over the peaceful lake each morning. Everyone had a blast swimming, kayaking, fishing (off the dock or from the rowboat), and going on peaceful walks in the woods. It was so much fun seeing some of the kids catch their very first fish, or try kayaking for the first time, and my parents loved sitting nearby and watching their family have so much fun together. When we needed anything we asked Marilyn, and she was always extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. At night we enjoyed an evening of smores by the fire and lots of laughter. Each of the cabins was very clean and perfect for our needs, and being there felt like getting in touch with a simpler time where life is less hectic and families can gather and really get close to nature. We can't wait to come back. Thank you Marilyn, for always being willing to accommodate my constantly changing plans for how many cabins we needed to book, and always being so helpful.…
We have been staying at Delta lodge for the last 7 years as a family for my nephew's birthday weekend in June and will continue this tradition for many years to come. The cabins are always clean and comfortable, the lake is beautiful and there are a lot of great amenities to enjoy. Biggest for us, all the fur babies are welcome too. We always feel very welcomed and enjoy talking to the owner. It is the best weekend of the year and we all look forward to next year as soon as we leave.
It was clean and very comfortable and friendly stay. It was soso nice to be by a clean quite lake with no motor noise. we love staying there and have done so for 7 years now and already have reservations for next year.
Two of us stayed at Delta Lodge in Mid-May 2022 after busy days at the annual Bird and Nature Festival. It was my second stay at Delta and both experiences were good: relaxing time on the screen porch, comfy beds, very quiet property except for welcome sounds of birds. The kitchen was well-equipped for simple meal preparation and clean-up. I'm already thinking about a return to Delta Lodge to see the fall colors.
I have stayed at Delta Lodge many times over the last 18 years. My husband and I needed a get away on our anniversary 18 years ago. We were young and without much in resources. Delta's initial attraction was the affordable price. It is rustic, but clean, comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans/silver and such. What we found and have continued to find over the years is that there is a peace that goes with being in nature and by the water. Marilyn has been a terrific host and we have been able to bring our dogs with us as well. The water front is well maintained and the water is clear. Kayaks, boats, and safety equipment is readily available and with firewood for sale on every business front you pass, Delta has always provided as much firewood as you can use for free as part of your stay. I have had wonderful stays in cabins 10 (my favorite), 7, and this year I was able to bring my daughter and her family with us to stay in cabin 12. The teenage girls loved having their own space in the loft, and my daughter who cannot be in the sun made much use of the screened in porch. It was the BEST visit ever as I was able to watch another generation of my family fall in love with my happy place. We have already booked cabins 10 and 8 for next year and plan to bring up my youngest daughter and her family. Cannot wait to get away to this place where I can completely unplug, unwind, and enjoy my husband and family without interruption or distraction. I hope you all love it as much as I do.…
We have been going to Delta Lodge for over 17 years and absolutely love it! For many years, we stayed in cabin #5, #1 or #11. We started when our children were young and active! We also had a black lab and were so excited that we could bring him along as well! All of us loved playing and swimming on the beach and in the water! My husband loves to go fishing in the early morning. Upon his return, we hear about the various fish he caught. The cabins our well maintained. Marilyn, the lodge owner, has been easily accessible and flexible when we with our needs or requests. Our kids are young adults now and still love to return annually! My husband and I also love being able to come up for long weekends throughout the year - enjoying the Autumn colors or cross-country skiing. There are fun things you can do at Delta Lodge such as swimming, kayaking, or fishing, There are also many fun outings you can take within an hour's drive such as hiking at Copper Falls state park or walking the beach at the Apostle Islands National Lake shore - just to name a couple we enjoy. For us, it truly is our happy place!…
