We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and it was perfect! The cabin had everything we wanted and needed, and Karri was so kind and accommodating. She even put up a "Happy Anniversary" sign in front of our door to welcome us. We spent the day kayaking the Kickapoo and exploring Wildcat Mountain State Park, then came back to the cabin to relax. It was great sipping coffee on the back porch and by the outdoor firepit in the morning. The king size bed is comfortable and the fireplace keeps it warm and toasty inside. There are a few short hiking trails on the property, which we enjoyed, along with some farm animals too. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We love to travel on our motorcycles and the BHL caters to bikers. The amenities were everything we needed and the owners could not have been nicer. The roads in the area were fun to ride, especially through Wildcat Mountain State Park. We highly recommend the Hillsboro Brewing Co. for food. We will definitely go back!!

This was our second stay at Blue Highway Lodge (my kids insisted we come back because they loved it so much the first time). Beautiful, peaceful setting, with lots of animals to enjoy and woods to walk in. Karri & Nate (owners) are the best & gave us lots of information about the area & things to do. We floated the nearby Kickapoo River, hiked at Wildcate state park, took a day trip to La Cross, and enjoyed the loca brewery.

The family we were going with had a death. We called to ask for a credit for a different date or a refund. They refused to work with us at all. They ultimately after days of back and negotiating gave the couple that lost their son their money back but we received nothing not even a way to use the reservation in the future. We used to stay here every year but will never return. The amount of drama and hassle wasn’t needed and it wasn’t necessary. It wasn’t like we canceled because someone changed their mind or even got sick it was a death.

Our family & friends stayed in the guest house. The place was immaculately clean & the beds were very comfy. We had a great time sitting on the front porch, watching the wildlife, and listening to the “clippity-clop” of the Amish buggies from the nearby farms. We really enjoyed the alpacas, steers, and other animals on premises. It is a real close drive to the kayak put-in for the Kickapoo River, a great microbrewery in Hillsboro, and hiking at Wildcat Mountain State Park. Owners Karri & Nate were very helpful & friendly. Highly recommend!!!

Such a special place for a friend get together! I've been wanting to check out Blue Highway Lodge for a while now, and it lived up to my expectations. Lovely cozy cabins that had everything we needed. The weather happened to be perfect, and we spent the time eating great food, reminiscing and laughing. The campfire at night was especially nice..no mosquitos!
The animals were fun to watch, and Nate and Karri were so kind. We'll be back!

The perfect Springtime reprieve! Incredibly welcoming hosts, beautiful land, sweet animals--such a peaceful place to stay. The cabin was extremely clean and the amenities were excellent. Toddler had a great time finding gnomes on the hikes and playing yard games at the pavilion. Can't wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I stay here every July for an event and we absolutely love it. The cabin is wonderful and the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. We also enjoy being able to see the animals on the grounds. It makes it a really special get-away. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. We look forward to returning every summer!

What an amazing place went with 5 couples and had a blast. Cabins were well kept and clean and had everything you needed. We would ride the awesome roads making our way to the Mississippi about an hour away and made our way back to the lodge. Cooked out at the pavilion which had all the utensils u needed. Just bring the food. while enjoying a campfire. Lots of laughs with good friends at a great place I highly recommend the blue highway lodge
