Thirteen miles south of Minocqua, our three-cottage hideaway rests along the hushed shoreline of Birch Lake. It’s a noiseless little place—a summertime retreat to traveling families for nearly 40 years. We hope you’ll make a stay at Jung’s Birch Lake Cottages a part of your family’s tradition.

Detailed Reviews
Our family used to go up to the Jung's cottages for years and years, with many fond memories made. This summer, we took our kids up for the first time and stayed at the Bayside cottage. It was perfect- it was so wonderful to create new memories up north and to show the kids what I experienced as a kid :)
I haven't been up to the cottages in probably two decades, but they are still so well-kept and updates were clearly made as needed, without losing the rustic cabin charm. I love that the kitchens are well-stocked with everything needed to cook and eat with! The decor is cute and cozy- very homey feeling. You do need to bring your own bath and kitchen towels, but I don't mind that at all. There were fans in every bedroom and the living room to help with those hotter days- there is no AC, but there is the lake to cool off in, and isn't that why you're up there in anyway? :). Love that they have Wi-Fi so I could work when I had to, and we could watch a movie at night if we wanted.
The Jungs are very helpful and responsive...we had an issue with the bathroom, and they did everything they could to fix the issue as soon as possible.
Birch lake is very quiet and peaceful- we love that there is less traffic on this lake...the mornings and evenings are so quiet sometimes, you can hear a pin drop!
There is a cute bar and grill nearby to go to if you don't feel like cooking, and our other favorite lake, Sand Lake, is right up the road and is awesome for swimming- no rocks and a cute little beach. We also love being close enough to Minoqua to drive in and have fun in town when we wanted to.
Jung's Cottages are the perfect authentic up north experience- it's the perfect balance of rustic and still comfortable surroundings. We love it up here, and we will definitely be back again!!!
