Having stayed in dozens of Greek properties over the years both my wife and I were truly amazed at the standard seen here. The greeting on arrival was fantastic, the captain was there on hand to welcome us and advise together with his 24/7 helping hand, marvelous ! All the facilities are there, the kitchen is well equipped with a decent hob and oven arrangement, the bathroom is typically Greek but very clean and everything worked. Quite simply fantastic, you literally CAN hear a pin drop at night as the sun sets. Recommended.

This summer saw our return to Cavos for the seventh year in a row and we enjoyed our best holiday yet! The colourful air conditioned cottages are light, airy and spacious with quite the most perfect outlook. All elegant simplicity. The cottages, gardens and pool are all immaculately kept due to the hard work of the Captain and his friendly house manager Stonja. The Captain and his wife Betty always make us feel so welcome we are counting the days until our return in 2020.

Cavos cottages are accessed by a steep, narrow winding road - not long but enough to put me off wanting to drive down in our hire car - left that to my husband who, for the record, had no problems with it - maybe it was just me being a wuzz!! Anyway that apart you cannot fault these cottages (5 in number all different colours). We stayed in Aqua which is closest to the pool so very handy for quick dips! Everything from the gardens, the pool, the terrace, the cottages themselves are extremely well maintained. In all my years of visiting Greece (37 years) I have never seen such immaculately painted buildings. I mentioned this to the owner known as the Captain (80 years young!) and he said "I was here whilst the cottages were painted and they used masking tape"!! It gives you some idea as to why everything was spot on. You absolutely need a hire car to stay here but it is so worth it. The cottages are beautiful and well laid out with a side patio and rear verandah. Spotlessly clean and kept that way every day. The views over to Kefalonia (Fiskardo one way, Sami the other) were lovely no matter what time of day. Such a peaceful place - you could hear a pin drop. As and when we return to Ithaca we wouldnt dream of staying anywhere else. Loved it (and the Captain!!)

As we arrived late at the airport in Kefalonia it was already dark and late when we arrived by boat at Ithaca. The owner of our cottage was waiting on the quay and drove in front of us to make sure we would not lose our way! What a nice reception! The next morning we could see what a special place this is. Half way up on a mountain side we did have the most fantastic view over the see between Ithaca and Kefalonia. In the evening it became even better with the sunset, from our private terrace we could enjoy the sunset every evening with a nice glas of beer. The cottage was very clean, as a lady came around every day to make sure all was in order and spic and span. The owner came also around every day with wonderful suggestions to spent the day or evening. We have to come back........

I had an easy and smooth emailing with Captain Vangelis, who is the owner of Cavos. We even had to change some dates (due to re-scheduled flights) and Vangelis accomodated it without problems. Overall we like the place a lot, it is perhaps the most quiet area we've ever stayed and as name says with awesome daily sunset views. Room, terrace, wifi, aircon, roofed parking, pleasant area of cottages with plenty of green and flowers - all accordingly expectations! You 'll have a swimming pool too. Rooms are cleaned daily. Kitchenette and kitcheware are rather basic though, enough for making a breakfast and simple meals. It is well signed and easy to find, don't be afraid of steep road to cottages, it is a concrete surface, just drive carefully. I would recommend the place for romantic getaway as well as family vacation with daily visits for nearby tavernas (in Stavros, Frikes, Leukas) and beaches.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cavos. The cottage was spacious, very clean (daily cleaning service) and had a spectacular view from the balcony. All cottages have an amazing view. The kitchen is very well equiped to prepare breakfast and lunch. Great garden with flowers and a stone yard to sit and enjoy the beautiful sunset while the children were at the pool. We loved spending our evenings watching the amazing sunset view and drinking "Thiaco" wine. Perfect for families and couples as well. Peaceful and relaxing, yet very close to Stavros village (2km), Ag. Ioannis (my favourite beach) and Kioni village (very picturesque), with great restaurants and bars. The owner, Captain Caravias and his daughter Sissy, were very friendly and hospitable and always ready to help us out in any way. Ithaki is a beautiful island for travellers who seek a variety of experience on their holiday, oferring hikes and long walks, crystal clear waters and enchanting beaches. Ithaki is very close to Kefalonia and Lefkada for daily trips. Favourite beaches: Ag. Ioannis, Gidaki and Sarakiniko. Favourite moments: Reading my book gazing at the sea from my balcony and drinking wine while watching the sunset and the sailing boats. We had a really memorable experience...

We just stayed 3 nights at the cottages and the whole place is amazing. The captain and his wife Betty have thought of everything. The cottages are big enough and have all you may want. The property is great. I have travelled many places all over the world and would not hesitate recommending here. I will be back! Thanks again to Julie the lovely housekeeper as well. The view is even better than the photos.

Quiet, romantic place with a private balcony overlooking Kefalonia island and ideal sunset view. Very spacious cottages, clean and adequately equipped. The road leading to the cottages is narrow and steep but accessible with a reasonably sized car. Nearest village is Stauros with cafe and places to eat. Nearest beaches are Poli and Ag. Ioannis one of the loveliest in Ithaca.

Me and my husband stayed in the cottages for 4 days. We were so amazed by the place that we wanted to stay in all the time. The view is stunning, the rooms were the cleanest rooms we've ever stayed in, there is basic equipment for a comfortable stay, fantastic large balcony and garden and the rooms are very beautiful. The best thing was the quietness. We couldn't believe it was so peaceful and quiet, you could hardly hear anything. Ideal for relaxation. The swimming pool was just a few meters from the cottages, clean and with a nice view. I recommend it to all my friends and coming back definitely.
